Everyone was very nice! Even though it was the end of the day and they were ready to go home, they didn't make you feel rushed ! Time wise, it didn't take too long. I was quickly taken back to start the process and only a short wait for the doctor to come back. Dr. Ferrera was thorough and showed he cared. It was great leaving and feeling like I know my prescription will have my eyes feel better. Over all very happy to have come here and will continue to do so.

I have known Dr. Ferrera for over 10 years and many Pearlevision companies he's worked with, even have a little work experiences with some.. I have to say that the attitude, support, love, and the staff is great and knowledgeable. Everything put into the eye exam and materials for the glasses and contacts is still over 100% amazing. There are only a few great experiences in life that you can always count on and this is in the top. The doctor side was as always great, knowledgeable and helpful during my 2 boys exams. On the glasses side, I was helped by Andrew who was patient, hard working and very understanding on what was needed for our frames/lens. 9.4 out of 10

I've been with Joyful Eyecare for about 5 years. The staff is very friendly and personable. I recently had three very extensive tests, and I was in and out in about an hour. The facility is very clean and comfortable. You can tell that they take pride in their appearance. Customer service is incredible. Doctor is also very knowledgeable and personable. He never pushes any extra tests on you and makes you feel in total control. He explains everything to you and freely offers his expertise. My visits are about as pain-free as you can imagine. My eyes were horrible prior to meeting this doctor. Had to go to the emergency room and utilize steroids in my eyes, as the contacts I was using from another place were not fit for me. I took a chance and came here. The doctor is amazing. He listens to your needs/wants and utilizes his experience to help you find the perfect match of contacts/glasses. He thoroughly explains care provided and is very person centered. Best of all, my eyes are in fabulous shape. Can't thank the doctor enough, not to mention the staff at the Lynnhaven Mall site are super friendly and go the extra mile to help you.

This was my second year visiting this location for my annual eye examination. The eye examination its self was pretty standard in my experience and the staff was friendly. My only issue is that when I arrived, I was told that with my insurance my amount owed would be $10, but upon checking out the amount owed went up to $85. I understand that insurance is what it is, but the issue for me is that the staff knew I wear contacts as I've been there before and should have told me the full amount I would owe ahead of time for this "additional service" rather than waiting until AFTER the examination to add this additional $75 charge. Aside from this, as I said, the eye examination was pretty standard. I was offered to try out a different brand of lens that may be more comfortable with my bilateral astigmatism, which I appreciate as I was never given another option at my previous ophthalmologist before moving to the area.

I have been coming here for the past several years and have never been disappointed. I've been especially pleased since Dr. Ferrara took over as the optometrist for this location. Dr. Ferrara is knowledgeable, honest and easy to talk to. His staff are nice and try to go the extra mile to help you or answer your questions. The medical office is located in the back of the Pearle Vision which makes it very convenient to transition from prescription to eye wear. What I love about the office is that the hours mimics the mall schedule most days and they offer evening and weekend appointments. Even though I've moved to Chesapeake, there's no question that I will continue to come here for my yearly eye exams with Dr. Ferrara.

I have been a patient for several years. Dr. Ferrara listens to his patients and his staff are all very kind. He is caring and in general, a very nice person! He also helped with my grandson, who was being referred for unnecessary surgery by another eye doc!!! My family really gets great service and attention at his office! He is a family man himself and is wonderfully silly with the kiddos. I do and have highly recommended Dr. Ferrara for your vision needs.
