Coastal Vision at Salem Crossing has been our family's choice for eye care for over a decade. What started out of being conveniently located near home grew into a long term relationship built on peerless knowledge, caring service, and trust. Everytime I visit, this team makes me feel like nothing is more important than taking care of me. From from the staff at the front desk, the opticians to the doctors; everyone knows their job to the letter. I especially like how well they understand my insurance coverage and explain all the options to me when making prescription choices. I can't recommend them enough!

I am not a patient here, but I had a contact lens emergency of course on a holiday!! My RGP lens had been stuck in the side of my eye for an hour. We were trying to find one of these remover tools and they are not in store. We gave them a call and they let us come right and gave us one. It was very kind and appreciated. Would recommend just in the basis of customer service!! Thank you! I don’t remember the name of the guy that helped us but I appreciated their kindness.

First of all this place is fantastic and the doctors are super friendly and funny. The office was super clean and neat. I had dr. Scott Nilsson, and he was super funny and he made my prescriptions really good. And then to try on my glasses and fitting I had Keiara Lewis and she was super funny and super helpful. I'm referring all my friends to this place and I'm going here from now on for all my visions needs! Again this place is highly recommendable!!!!

My daughter and I have been coming to this location for years and have always had a fantastic experience. The staff and doctors are friendly, professional, and efficient. We are both glasses wearers and have bought multiple pairs from Heather Hicks - literally the world’s greatest optician. She does an amazing job of sizing, making thoughtful recommendations, and making the process enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Office was very clean and employees where friendly. The dr that I saw was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain why my eyes would be changing and working with me to find contacts that would be comfortable for me. I also have to give kudos to the optometrist, Heather, she is amazing. She takes the time to get the best style of glasses that fits your personality and face. I have never felt pressured into buying extra features for glasses nor pressured to buy higher-end models like I have at other drs offices in the past. Highly recommend this place.

This has been the best experience with my daughter. She has eye issues and it’s usually a traumatic experience. Casey was amazing with my daughter going through all of the initial testing. Dr. Tahmasian was amazing with her. I can’t say enough good things. We are so happy we found this office.

The staff, the doctors and Caleb and oh goodness I'm so terrible with names, but the amazing gentleman who helped convince my picky daughter that the glasses that I thought looked Fabulous on her, really did look fab!!!! We have been coming here for years and we've always been so pleased with our experiences. They also work with you on the prices. I always recommended you guys and always will. I am a new patient. As soon as I walked in for my appointment, I was warmly greeted by two friendly smiling ladies at the front desk. Then, Dr. Lin took time to understand the stresses I put on my eyes, plus I did not feel rushed through the vision tests. She was very patient with me. Heather assisted me in selecting my new glasses. She introduced herself with a warm smile. We reviewed my vision plan, so we knew exactly what was covered. I wanted a very different style of glasses. As we began selecting sample frames, I appreciated Heather's honesty, frankness and suggestions. She was awesome. "We" selected the prettiest glasses I have ever worn, and the added lens options keep my eyes fresh all day and night while staring at various screens. I can even read a book late at night. Heather gave me 100 percent of her attention. We were never interrupted by her having to answer a phone or work with other customers, like other optical stores, although she was professional and courteous and greeted other customers sitting in the waiting area. My entire experience was the best! I could go on...

Dr. Lin was amazing per usual! But I also wanted to say that the optician, Heather was amazing as well! She broke down what my insurance covers and wrote down the prices for me to see, also answered my questions I had regarding the best way to go about getting a blue light into my glasses since I sit in front of the computer long hours for my job. I never felt rushed with Heather, she was so friendly and she let me take my time to think about whether if I should purchase the set of frames now or later. I didn’t feel forced or feel rushed on what I wanted. I’m definitely gonna ask for her to fit my glasses when I come back for yearly exams.

I had to take my daughter there for new frames. We were told she needed a new exam and she was scheduled immediately. The Optometrist was great with my daughter. When I took her to get fitted for frames, Shawn helped us out. He was amazing and it was only his second day on the job! He helped us find the best frames to fit my daughter's need. He didn't push us into something we did not want. He took the time to recommend and explain the benefits and details on the lenses. I’ve been to alot of Optometrists in my years, but this office has really surprised me. From the front desk to the staff who were excellent with both my son and myself, to Dr Tahmassions expertise in Developmental issues for kids’ vision, and my son’s vision Therapist, we are wonderfully and accurately cared for. And then there’s Kensley to help you find YOUR glasses. Want an honest opinion on what a frame looks like on you? He’s got it, if you want it. Whether you don’t have a lot of money to blow on designer frames or not, he will help you find what you’re looking for, or search everywhere for it! I can’t recommend this office any more highly!

When looking for frames, I was greeted by several employees and never had to look for help; they were there when I needed them. I've been wearing glasses for most of my life so I'm used to getting my eyes checked every year. When I moved back into the area I just picked the closest eye doctor to my home. I'm happy I did because this is the cleanest office I've ever visited. They have all the newest equipment and super friendly staff. My doctor, Scott Nilsson was super knowledgeable and a great down to earth person. I highly recommend for anyone needing glasses or contacts to try them out. They also have Saturday hours which is a big plus!

We have had an amazing experience with Dr T and her vision therapist, Kassie. My daughter completed 12 weeks of vision therapy to correct some issues with her amblyopia (lazy eye), tracking, and near/far focusing. Before vision therapy, she could only get to 20/40 with her extremely strong prescription, but after therapy she tested out at 20/20. All of her focusing and tracking abilities showed incredible improvement and her amblyopia is gone. I couldn't be happier with our experience. Both Dr T and Kassie were kind and patient with my daughter, took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions, and made the experience as fun as possible for my daughter. Vision therapy works!!

Dr. Nilsson and his team are top-notch. I recommend this office to anyone looking to establish a relationship with an optometrist - the scheduling is easy, hours are convenient, and the staff seems to really enjoy what they do. Dr. Nilsson is at the top of my list of favorite doctors (which is saying a lot, because I love my pediatrician and dentist as well) and my family will continue to see him for our eye care no matter where his office is located.

We once stopped by the office to get my son's glasses adjusted not realizing they were closed, and Dr Nilsson so happened to be there and adjusted them himself! He's also been there from the beginning treating my son's lazy eye, answering ALL my questions! Dr. Nilsson is very thoughtful and readily establishes a rapport with his patients. He is very competent and makes recommendations that are beneficial. I need to understand the "why" behind many tests and procedures; even when they may not be the right thing for me. I am always please that he and the staff will take the time to explain. They are ideal for eye care needs from yearly examines to incidents during allergy season to choosing the glasses that will be fashioanable and functionable for your unique eyes. Highly recommend!! Being newer to the area, I had to find an optometrist that could suit my needs. Coastal Vision was recommended by a coworker, and I can't say enough about the place! There are multiple locations across the area, and the times vary so they really are quite flexible, which I love. The establishment itself is very clean and modern, with a great selection of eyewear. The staff was extremely friendly and relevant, and helped make my visit that much better. Dr. Nilsson was the optometrist I saw, and though I have been getting my eyes checked for years, he still made sure to walk me through each step and explain everything clearly. I opted to have the dilation-free retinal exam (via photos), and Dr. Nilsson walked through the photos with me, showing me what he was looking for and even providing an alternative photo for comparison. he also offered me his card, with the sincerest remark to call him out of hours should an eye-emergencies arise. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Dr. Nilsson and his staff are very charismatic and amiable and I am happy to have found such a great optometry to call "home".

She takes the time to explain every facet of my current condition, contrasting it with my history and makes sure I understand what to expect long term. She was very caring and made sure that my wife and I were taken care of and got the full advantage of my insurance benefits. Dr. Tahmasian was fantastic. I feel as though I received an education as well as an exam. She knew I wasn’t drinking enough water and encouraged me to drink more. She also informed me that I don’t blink all the way which is another reason my eyes dry out. I never knew! She also gave me tips about eye care and working from home with my laptop. The entire staff was masked for Covid and they even disposed of used pens for patient and staff protection. GREAT PLACE GREAT STAFF BEAUTIFUL BUILDING. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been with Coastal Vision since I was little...Dr. Breedlove being the only eye doc I could remember. After having to rescheduling my yearly eye exam, I had an appointment w/ Dr. Nilsson....and I haven't been more please w/my experiences!! Dr. Nilsson has taken the time to thoroughly answer any and all questions, my professional recommendations, and what really captured my attention...follow up, even after office hours! After a vision experience away from home, I called the office and explained my symptoms, Dr. Nilsson walked me through everything over the phone and then called me back later that evening to check on me (oncoming migraine/visual migraine)...I will never forget that and will always be thankful for his compassion!! Dr. Nilsson saved me when my toddler scratched my eye. I couldn't open it, it was sensitive to light, and the tearing wouldn't stop. His office made time for me right away when I called. He gave clear explanations for what was wrong, and how to heal. This is a great place if you want to be a priority and have time to ask questions with your eye doctor.

While the staff is friendly the selection is not very big but it is expensive. They do not order your glasses right away either. You pay for it right then and there but oh they wait at least another day to order them. Some of us need them asap and holding them like that causes more harm than good.
