Dr. Robert Seim and his staff are awesome! I've been a patient of his for over 10 years, being treated for a serious eye condition. Since becoming his patient, the issue has been stabilized and I'm confident that the thorough screening I receive there is the very best. They also have a full service optical shop that has a wide range of frames, in a variety of price ranges. The staff are always friendly and the lady who works in the frame shop has always been very helpful, and her suggestions for frame color and style have always been spot on.

The staff is friendly and very helpful, but that isn't surprising as the Dr. Seum is great as well. Even after moving to Chesapeake, it is worth a bit more of a drive to continue as patients here.

My whole family goes to Atlantic EyeCare and have been for many years. Everyone is so helpful. From the front desk staff, to optometry techs, and of course Dr. Siem. Darlene in particular spent a lot of time with me recently helping me with my contacts. It can be very frustrating when you can’t see clearly, but she was very reassuring and positive. She did help me find a combination of lenses that work for me. And really I have always had these kind of good experiences. Sometimes my kids want to try out 20+ pairs of glasses before they find the right ones, and these ladies will just keep bringing them until they are sure they have the ones they love! Highly Recommend this practice!

Big fan of Dr. Seim and the team at AAPECS Atlantic EyeCare. I have a large optic nerve (runs in my family) and before moving here I’d had several great eye doctors who said the size of my ON was nothing to worry about because it’s hereditary. After I moved here EVERY eye doctor I saw said I needed to come in every 3-6 months to get an expensive (and time consuming) test to “monitor” my optic nerve. Not only would my insurance not cover that many tests a year, I’d been living with a large optic nerve my whole life and knew I didn’t need a bunch of tests. When I found Dr. Seim, I knew he was the doctor for me because he told me there was no reason for me to come in for tests more than once a year (unless something drastic changed with my vision) because my optic nerve was hereditary. I was, like, FINALLY and honest doctor! I’ve been going to this doctor ever since and have never had any problems.

I really love AAPECS Atlantic Eyecare. Dr Seim is a great eye doctor. He has a wonderful staff that treats you like a VIP. I am always amazed that when I purchase my glasses, I never have any problems with them. I never have to come back because the prescription is wrong. I never have the circus effect when I wear them for the first time. Kudos to his staff. I have and always will recommend him to everyone.

This is the best place for eye care and glasses in the Tidewater area. The doctor is great. Explains everything in a manner which is understandable. Only place I've ever been to where they monitor all aspects of your vision, every time. Great about getting their patients back in a timely order( no less than 5 minuets after appointment time.) There's no pressure about buying your frames or lenses with them like other offices, and if you have frames and only want lenses they'll work with you and try to find the most suitable lenses. I can't rave enough about them. Great environment, great staff. Will never visit a mall or any other mediocre Optometrist again.

I can't help but respond to the negative reviews I read. An intelligent person understands everyone's situation is different. My husband and I have been treated with utmost respect . My husband has had his glasses adjusted many times and it's no problem. My appointments are lengthy , for I have glaucoma and there is a battery of tests. They can't help that. I want to add my glaucoma is under perfect control which is great for this is a progressive disease.
