I had a very pleasant experience with Overland Optical. My exam was thorough and the doctor addressed the concerns I had related to my vision. The office staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The entire visit was outstanding. I would recommend Overland Optical to anyone searching for a quality experience.

Customer service is TOP notch! I drove 2 1/2 hours and many phone calls to other eye glass establishments. Then when I called and Marcie answered the phone at Overland she says I am sure we can help and went to work. Marcie and Julia went above and beyond to make sure when I arrived the process was quick and smooth... I would give 10 stars! Thank you Marcie and Julia and the rest of the staff at Overland for getting me fixed up so Quickly! Job well done!

My eye care physician was highly competent, friendly, and glad to answer my questions. The eyeglass sales person had a good command of the eyeglasses they offered, could answer all of my questions, was friendly and the glasses I chose are great looking. All in all, my experience was five star.

Staff were very friendly. I brought my frames (2 pair) that i needed new lenses as my script had changed. The quote was over 600 dollars for two sets of lenses, my own frames. Seriously i nearly choked. I want to do business with a local bricks and mortar business but by going mail order I saved 500 dollars

Lady taking the money needs some practice making change. She also forgot to give me a receipt. I had a lot of trouble driving home with my eyes dialated and no film strip to cover up. Overall I like your facility a lot and will continue to be a customer.

Let me start off by saying that customer service is a HUGE deal to me! The moment that I walked in, I was greeted with "Hello, how may we help you?" From the sweet receptionist to the kind lady that helped me pick out some frames to Will (such a kind gentlemen) to Stacy (who I thought was so cool) to Dr. Huck (you rock!), the whole staff was very professional and made my experience one of the best ever! I was very thankful they got me in very last minute however I was misdiagnosed by the doctor. I was told I had a stye on my eye (there was no bump anywhere on my eye) but it turned out to be swelling from an allergic reaction. I unfortunately spent $100 unnecessarily. Staff was very kind, I just believe I was told incorrect information.

I’ve never had an issue with my glasses except the occasional tightening. They are more than willing to tighten them up and get me on my way. Have to share that I had an astoundingly extraordinary experience at Overland Optical in Overland today! My unfortunate encounter with a local competitor last year prompted me to schedule an appt with them, after a 3 year absence. I have to say, the only thing that's changed is advances in technologies, because their outstanding, personalized service is always bar none. All of the staff were beyond professional, courteous, and, above all, welcoming to me as a valued customer. I'm so proud to say that, not only were Marcy, Will, Julia & Dr Schmitz extremely accommodating and meticulous to my needs from testing to picking out frames, but they took time to answer questions, got to know my preferences, and, most graciously used my preferred name and pronouns. I was so elated by their attentiveness, that I could cry. That level of understanding and care is deeply felt and appreciated by members of the LGBTQIA+ community like nothing else! Testing was a breeze, everything was explained in plain language with great detail, and I even had a fun time picking out my new frames. I can't wait to try them out! I bought my current glasses from Overland Optical about five years ago, I stopped in to look at new frames and Teresa helped me find a new frame that I liked, they have a good selection and I went with Ray Bans that Teresa suggested. I like that they offer glass lenses, never buying plastic lenses again. They aren't cheap, but they are the best. I highly recommend them if you need their services.

It has been a couple years since I have had my eyes examined. Dr. Schmitt was on vacation, so there was another doctor filling in for her. She was very nice and thorough. She mentioned that I do need a prescription for night driving, but didn't force me to get them. Mentioned that if I wanted to get them now I could. Otherwise, the prescription would be on file for a year, if I wanted to come back and get them at a different time. All the ladies were polite and pleasant. I had some issues w/ my insurance & they were willing to call the company and try a couple of other things. Unfortunately, they were unable to get my insurance info during the visit. I was able to call back later that day with the correct eye insurance info & they said they would add it to my account and submit it to the insurance company.

Happy, enthusiastic people answered the phone & my questions when I called for an appointment. They worked to accomodate my schedule. At the shop, all the people working there were friendly and happy. Besides my fitter, others offered input as to which frames to try based on my preferences and skin tone and hair color. There was no high pressure, just questions as to preferences; they write up the total and ask if you want to proceed. The process was less than 30 minutes. I called the next day with some questions and my fitter, Julia, was gracious and more than willing to get me answers. Now I am waiting for the glasses to come in & hope they look as good as predicted.

I was very pleased with the staff. They were courteous and professional and addressed all my concerns.. The eye doctor was very different from the other specialists that I have seen throughout my eye journey. She was spot on with my vision results & told me if I had any problems or concerns, please contact her immediately. Who does that?? I even got my glasses that same night!!! They are rather pricey though. If you want a cheaper pair of glasses, this ain't the place. Other than that, I recommend this place with ten stars!!!!!!

What a great local gem of a place, and one that I had passed up for many years. My whole family wears glasses/contacts for one reason or another, so having a good eye care professional is critical. The doctors, technicians, and support staff are so patient and explain everything thoroughly. They were more than kind to my 10-year-old daughter as she chose her glasses, helped her find the best shape for her face, and explained all of our options to us. We are so lucky to live nearby! Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a trusted place to go!

It was good, I took my son to get his eyes checked. Everyone was so kind. The only reason I gave a 3 instead of a 5 is because they have no sort of payment plans for prescriptions. My son has VERY bad eye's. Therefore it was pretty expensive after insurance $300 and something dollar's! He needs his glasses but I had to leave them there untill I pay that $300 and something up front. Times are hard right now for alot of people and I simply can't afford a upfront payment like that. Now my son will have to go a few weeks without glasses.

I got my distorted glasses repaired at this place. They were repaired on site, very quickly, and for free. The shop is really nice and bright, and the staff are very friendly and professional. It's a small fix for my glasses, but the impression I got from this place met all my expectations and even beyond for professional eye care shops. OK I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. talk about a wow factor …very kind knowledgeable staff and OMG are they fast and I figured out there super secret power they do there lenses … shh … inhouse I didn't even know that was possible. Its unheard of in this day and age had my new glasses the same day I took the exam. there using tech during the eye exam I've never seen before at the other eye glass places I was blown away!

I like that it's not a big mega eye-place....it's a neighborhood, "round the corner" type place where the staff is friendly, knowledgeable & never pushy. My family has been going to overland optical for years. Even after shopping other opticians, overland consistently offers the lower price AND takes my insurance. The staff was friendly and patient when I recently came in to be fitted for contacts for the first time. After buying a year's supply of contacts, a new pair of eyeglasses are half off! (I believe the deal works for a second pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses as well). Great service at a reasonable price, what is better?

I am from out of town and on a Thursday night I lost my glasses. While I wear contacts the majority of the time I still need glasses at night as my eyesight is so bad. I called Overland Optical Friday morning and they were able to get me in Saturday morning as we were coming in town Friday night. With such a strong RX my lenses are thicker and need some special touches. Huge shout out to Rob Dobbie in the lab who was able to make my new glasses the same day and stayed later than he normally does on a Saturday to finish them. Much thanks to the rest of the staff who was able to get me with such a short notice.

I've been using Overland Optical for well over a decade and have never had anything but OUTSTANDING care and service. Friendly staff and doctors, and they even laugh at my jokes, so that wins them serious points right there. In short, take "Highly Recommended" and nail three more "Highlies" and a whole raft of gold stars to it. Unless they kick my dog, or I become afflicted with amnesia due to an unfortunate bowling incident, I won't go anywhere else for my vision care needs. Given that I don't currently have a dog, and I don't go bowling all that often, we're "all good." In all seriousness (as being serious is not my strong suit), as big as I am on convenience given my often hectic schedule, I'd go to Overland Optical even if they weren't right around the corner from me. great personal service. on the spot eyeglass repair. NO CHARGE! it was a simple fix, but i could not do it. I was definitely prepared to pay for the service. Very impressed.
