The service from Koetting Eye Center is outstanding! I wear "hard" contact lenses (also from Koetting Eye Center) and, as the result, obtaining eyeglasses that work after I have taken out my contact lenses is very difficult. i just obtained from Koetting Eye Center the best eyeglasses I have ever had. They spent a significant amount of time to make sure that the prescription for the eyeglass lenses was compatible with my hard contact lenses. This was no small feat. I appreciate very much the effort that they put into this.

As a patient of Koetting for over 40yrs I have been served by Dr's Carmen, Joe and Nick Castellano. All three have been consistently professional, thorough and friendly. They work hard to solve any *issues* I might have with my vision and contacts. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent eye care. I was saddened to hear on my last visit that they no longer will have Saturday appointments. This will be a hardship for me, however, I will not consider going anywhere else. I only trust Koetting and their professional staff.

I moved out of state several years ago and attempted to find an office with services equal to Koetting. After trying for a couple of years, I gave up and now fly into St Louis for my annual appointments, contacts and glasses. Being able to walk in for an appointment and walk out with new contact lens is not an option I have found anywhere else, nor was I able to find an office that provides the in-depth exams every Koetting patient receives. Choosing frames and having my new glasses mailed to me is also a plus. My eyesight is very important and I feel I am getting the best of care at Koetting.

Especially after we tried on about 5 alternatives that unfortunately were not satisfactory for some reason or other (near and/or far vision were not satisfactory), Current plan is to buy multiple years supply of my current contact soon and use them until I have to revert to glasses or die.

First time patient and was very pleased with Koetting's office staff (friendly and I filled out my original paper word in advance so it was quick to have my initial testing completed by one of their staff members). Once in Dr. Joe's office another staff member took my current glasses for a reading of what my current lens specked out. At that point I was set to have my vision checked and there was a lot of care given by Dr. Joe's assistant (you know...better 1 or better 2 and then move to the next set of readings). This was important to me as my previous readings were rushed I felt at another medical office. Immediately after I got to see Dr. Joe and he was very helpful, friendly and straight forward about my eye condition and explained why it's very critical to have new lenses made by the best shop possible...which they have! Overall the best eye exam experience I've had in 10 years :)

Not only can I see better but this is the first pair of glasses I’ve owned that never slid down, or fell off my face during CPR. It was amazing, I forgot I even had them on! Koetting provides a thorough eye exam using up-to-date technology. Staff seems knowledgeable and experienced. They offer a wide range of options for vision correction and frame styles. Prices for lenses and frames are comparable to other large optical providers, which is to say much higher than big box and discount chains. Using my prescription from Koetting I was able to purchase the same brand lenses at a big box for less than half the Koetting price. I would have liked to return to Koetting for my annual exam, but, as of 2019, they no longer accept the eye insurance from Essence Health.

Never get very far though, because the wait time is almost always very brief (which I like). I like the fact that you never have your eyes checked by the same staff member in two consecutive visits. I never had problems in the summer because of the high humidity and using eye drops twice daily. But last summer my eyes felt like they did in the dead of winter, dry and continually irritated, using non stop eye drops. After the Lipiflow treatment (about 15 minutes) at Koetting Associates in August 2018, I could really tell my eyes were better because it was January 2019, no irritation and only using eye drops twice daily again. Felt like my "summer" eyes. Dr. Castellano and his staff did a thorough examination . Dry eyes greatly improved. I've been a patient of Koetting Associates and Dr. Castellano for many years. They are wonderful keeping up with all new treatment methods and caring about their patients.

As a person visiting optometrists and opthamologists starting at the age of 2 and 1/2 years old, I have much experience to compare offices and doctors. My parents finally took me to Dr. Robert Searfoss, a pioneer in using eye and vision training, who was not a surgery proponent for children unlike much of the medical field of the 70s. He improved my vision through hard contact lens wear, eye exercises and training my brain. He retired and on to his successor. Finally I asked for a reference from my optical supplier here in town and he said, "Castellano is the best. Here is is his number." And he was right. I have been a patient for I believe 10 years now. I am very happy not only with Dr. Castellano's ability and expertise, but also his professionalism. His sons are following in his footsteps.
