The folks at Oculus are amazing. Everyone is knowledgeable in eye care and great to work with. I have several eye complications from dry eye, wearing contacts, to finding glasses that fit. Dr. Huber helped me understand how the fit and material of contacts can make them more comfortable. He advised what to watch for when I tried difference contacts. Austin, Kelly, and Sarah helped me find the right frames when I had problems with the first pair I got. Highly reccomend getting their advice on frames based on your lifestyle. I got frames that I can wear everyday with a secure feel when I'm running around, durable because I'm clutzy and rough with my glasses, and nice frames. Thanks :)

EDIT: I have upped this review to 4 stars since it was pointed out to me that the information regarding my insurance coverage was provided in a email to me before the appointment. Pros: - Great eye doctor. Dr. Jeff was very thorough and answered all of my questions about my prescription and possible LASIK - Nice office with pleasant and helpful staff - Edit: After posting my initial 3-star review, I received a follow-up email asking about how my experience could have been better in addition to how they could make up for my disappointment. I appreciate this level of customer service. Cons: - I paid $120 for my routine eye exam. My insurance later told me that this office was out of network, so they only covered $45 of this payment. I am disappointed that Oculus did not inform me that they were out of network. Instead, they asked me to pay with my credit card in full. I feel that before the appointment, they could told me that I would have had to cover most of the bill out of my own pocket. - EDIT: I later learned that Oculus had sent my an email that described what costs would be covered by my insurance. I still believe that they could have done a better job of pointing out that I would need to cover most of the bill.

I have been going to Oculus Eyecare for eye exams, contacts and frames since they opened. Dr. Woerner is an excellent medical professional. His manner is genuine and authentic. The staff has a "can do" attitude, always focused on finding solutions. Visiting Oculus is like seeing an old friend. You will be glad you chose them as your eye care provider!

My son referred me to Oculus and I am very pleased. Austin assisted me in becoming a new patient, explained the coverage of my insurance provider, made the appointment, and helped me with the follow-up of a referral initiated by Dr. Huber. Dr. Huber was very thorough during the eye exam while offering clear explanations of his findings and providing recommendations about the choices available to me for my eye care in the near future. I highly recommend the cheerful atmosphere, reasonable prices, and professionalism of this team!

I wear light weight metal frame glasses made in Germany. Love these glasses. Unfortunately they were starting to slide off my face and were no longer fitting on my face correctly. Searched around the Seattle shops for one that sold this brand and found Oculus. I didn't purchase my glasses from them but they cleaned and fixed the issue of them sliding off of my face. It was like getting a new pair of glasses. They never asked for payment and spent time explaining the construction of my glasses and how to better care for them. Everyone at their store was helpful, courteous and very knowledgeable. They know their products well and will take time to explain the benefits of each. This store is one of the best. When I need any thing related to care of my glasses they will be my only choice.

Dr. Jeff Woerner is a terrific eye doctor. I needed to get a new prescription and was not able to get into the place I went to last time and was so lucky to come across Oculus. Jeff is fast, friendly and very knowledgeable. In addition to nailing the prescription he gave some tips to prevent dry eyes. I am happy to have found a new home for eyecare!

Fabulous! Dr. Woerner is fantastic at his job and such a delightful human. The staff are super kind and helpful. The space is beautiful--and they offer some of the best eyewear brands out there. Free parking is another added bonus. I have been going here for 6+ years. Moved from city to Shoreline and will still make the trip into the city to go here.

Dr. Jeff Woerner has been my optometrist for 8 years. He is wonderful. As an engineer, I'm curious about the physics behind my prescription and Jeff patiently explains it all. Jeff has been happy to give me the prescription and pupil distance in the format I need to buy my glasses cheaply online. All the staff are friendly. With the pandemic, it's now inconvenient for me to go all the way into Seattle to get my eye exam, but I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Oculus Eyecare is THE BEST! Dr. Woerner is thorough and has a kind, gentle spirit, and he has assembled a thoroughly top-notch team who all go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. They stock fabulous frames from super cool designers, and I always find zillions to try on and drool over. And once, when I wanted to get a back-up pair of my very favorite frames by a designer they carry but that had been discontinued, they tracked down one of the few remaining pairs in Europe and had them shipped over to me! They're 100% perfection.

I've been a patient for a couple years. Staff is always friendly, honest, and helpful. Doctors are respectful and professional. The office is conveniently located for work downtown or SLU, and appointments are accommodating to a work schedule. Free parking in a couple spots in the lot. When I've tried on different frames, the staff always make it a personal experience. I felt like the bell of the ball. They are honest with their opinions and are quick to find if any customization is available. I am looking forward to picking up my 2 pairs later this week! I recently went out of the country for a couple weeks, and while packing I realized I didn't have any contacts left. After a quick call, Oculus offered to help with a pair for my trip. They literally saved my snorkeling experience (haha). Thank you to the staff and doctors!

I work and live near Oculus and when I was in the market for a eye doctor, this place was recommended to me. I have been here twice and am super satisfied with my choice. Making/rescheduling an appointment is a breeze. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I've seen both doctors, who also are amazing. I highly recommend this office when you have to be and adult and attend appointments like these.

After a long night of drinking I had made the mistake of sleeping on my glasses and bending the frame. I brought them into Oculus Eyecare and the very nice associate at the front fixed them in a matter of seconds. The staff was extremely informative and helpful. I had an appointment at Oculus to get a new prescription. The appointment setup and new patient paperwork was quick, easy, and available online. The wait time for the appointment was non-existent! I was in the back being checked out within 10 minutes of arrival. The optician who helped me, Brett? *I think* - was the nicest ever and helped me find a pair of glasses that I really love! Dr. Ho was quick, thorough, and excellent as well. Overall I highly recommend Oculus Eyecare and will return in the future.

I picked Oculus based on their online reviews, and I was not disappointed. Not only is the store/office beautiful, the staff are super friendly and helpful. They were even helpful with my normally very confusing insurance information. I called the day of my appointment to ask if I could get in any earlier, and they were so accommodating! Once I arrived and met Dr. Woerner, I was even more pleased. He was friendly and professional, and helped calm my slightly irrational fears about my eyes. Fantastic experience! The eye doctor cares about you as a patient and takes the time to get to know you as he works and gets everything measured and adjusted. He takes your preferences and lifestyle into account. It was apparent that he really enjoyed his job; outcome was glasses that are perfect for me. I’m already having less headaches and feeling better after staring at my computer screen for long hours. The guy at the front desk picked out a pair of frames that I would have never considered trying on and they were somehow perfect. Very covid safe and cleansed all the frames after you try them and still encouraged you to try 30-40 frames and just said “don’t worry! This is the fun part! We don’t mind cleaning them!” - very stress free. All around a great environment with a great outcome. A tad bit pricy on the frames, but in this case I found it justifiable. 5/5 would recommend!!

My husband and I needed eye exams and went online to book an appointment. They didn't have an opening for 3 weeks so my husband called and they got us in the following Saturday. Check-in was a breeze. Lucas was super friendly and explained what the insurance covered and how much the extras were. He also helped me choose new frames and was honest about how it looked on me. In the end, I found a style and color I loved. Dr. Ho was really friendly and easy to talk to. She was thorough and answered all of my questions. Would definitely recommend.

I don't usually leave reviews, but the overwhelmingly great experience I enjoyed with them left me no choice. I can only attest to the professionalism, product knowledge, style sense, and genuine excitement Bola, Brett, and Kelly afforded my wife and I. I thought I knew exactly what frames I wanted, in what I'm sure is a relatable experience the frames I went there for didn't look great on me. Bola was able to find a similar style that fit my face and I barely want to take off to sleep. Brett, and Kelly did the same for my wife. I wish I could pass on all the compliments I am receiving since their arrival, but the are to numerous to list. Do yourself a favor and shop for Eyewear here.

Another great experience!!! It was easy to make an appointment and the staff is professional and very friendly. I tend to blink a lot so I am always amazed and relieved when they can get the eye puff test done in one shot. I am new to Seattle and searched online for clinics with strong reviews in order to find my new optometrist. Dr. Woerner and the staff at Oculus were truly excellent. Scheduling the appointment was easy and I had the option of receiving a text reminder to check in slightly in advance of my appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted and checked in promptly. EDIT 6/3/2020: After posting my initial review below, Dr. Jeff Woerner personally reached out to me via email to explain what had happened. I was still disgruntled about the charge, but he asked for my suggestions for what Oculus could do better and was very open and receptive to feedback. We reached an agreement, and I was happy to see such good customer service and extremely professional correspondence. It is rare for someone to go out of their way to ensure that all of their patients are satisfied and even rarer to accept and implement feedback. Thank you Dr. Woerner! - I went to Oculus Eyecare for a comprehensive eye exam today. I have been wearing contact lenses for 10 years and occasionally wear glasses. At the end of the visit, I was charged for both the contact lens exam as well as the comprehensive exam. A contact lens exam is supposed to include measurements, fitting, etc. I did not do that as part of my appointment. I just needed the prescription, which should have been included in the comprehensive exam as per what the receptionist said on the phone. So why was I charged an extra $60 for the "contact lens exam"? They put code 92310 on the charge on my receipt which according to my insurance provider is for a new contact lens wearer. I had a good experience during my appointment and Dr. Jeff Woerner is a good doctor, but I felt that the price was not justified.

The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Dr. Woerner took the time to show me the pictures of the inside of my eyes, asked lots of questions to determine my needs for contacts, was thorough and efficient. The space is lovely: uncluttered and light with a very nice selection of frames. I especially appreciated Jaimie's help; she did not just tell me which frames looked good on me, but helped me to pick the ones that fit well. I walk by Oculus every day, so it is very convenient for me. It may, however, be a tough location for parking.

What's harder than writing a disgruntled review is taking the time to write a positive one. I've rarely been compelled to review a business. My experience at Oculus demanded one. The staff and Doctor there were insanely helpful and friendly. My only regret is not giving them the business for frames and lenses because I couldn't find that perfect style for my big dome.

The care I received was top notch, explained to me all the details of my eyes and what I should look for/be careful of. Fantastic basic exam prices ($99), easy to find (not much parking, but easy to walk to) great staff, and the doctor is very friendly and chatty! Oculus Eyecare is in a great location, right at the corner of Dexter and Denny, easily accessible by bus, walking or by car - they even have a parking lot! The store is very bright and airy and welcomes you in. Dr. Woerner is really friendly. He answered all my questions about the new digital equipment in the exam room with a smile. The staff was great, very friendly and not "salesly". Oculus has a great selection of frames in all price ranges. Definitely recommend!

I just moved to seattle. I took a shot in the dark by going to oculus. I had seen it on Denny and it looked flashy so I gave it a go. Dr. Woerner was incredible. Really friendly and took way more time to explain things to me than he needed to. He explained exactly how my prescription worked and how he figures out the tolerances in prescriptions. Because I am from Canada he also explained exactly how my insurance coverage works. At the end of my exam the eye wear team helped me find some really great glasses from an incredibly unique collection. I didn't even want to shop around. Oculus has my complete confidence. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Woerner and his team.

Really love this place! Super nice staff even when it's busy, super clean place, super fast in and out, and the doctor Jeff Woerner is really great! Sometimes playing the 'this one or this one' game can be daunting and some doctors seem annoyed if you have to have them do it a few times (I've got really bad vision so it takes a lot of back and fourths to get the right lenses for me). I'm pretty firm when I get a cranky doctor because I really need to get my vision right but I have friends who get intimidated into just wildly guessing about which lens works best because the doctor seems too impatient to take the time to make sure they're allowed to pick the right lens. While it doesn't happen to me I have certainly had my share of experiences where, were I not a more firm person, I could see that happening, but every single time I see Woerner he's completely pleasant and patient. He's never even almost irked by being asked to flip back and fourth a lot. He's really just an A+ doc and really seems to wanna make sure you leave feeling like you made the best vision choices. I couldn't recommend this place more.

When people ask me how I met my husband, I tell them ‘he looked into my eyes and fell in love.’ He did look into my eyes (for my post op exam for Lasik surgery) and he did eventually fall in love with me. 11 wonderful years later of being married, I couldn’t be more proud of you opening up your own practice. It’s a little surreal that you're up and running after so many years of talking about it (and scouting out every new hole in the ground in South Lake Union on our walks around the neighborhood). Oculus has been a labor of love (and angst) but you finally did it! I know I’m completely biased, but I do think you’re one of the best eye doctors in Seattle and anyone that knows you can attest that you’re genuinely a nice person which is how you treat your patients also. Dr. Huber and the frontdesk staff are passionate and caring. They provided a memorable experience that I will seek again for my next examination. Edit: Never got a check from insurance as promised. Edit: Staff reached out immediately with suggestions for solution. Turns out that the insurance missed the last digit of my apt number in the claim they received. If you end up in the same situation, please call your insurance and double check that they got your address correctly.
