Jacob and Allison went above and beyond w/their customer service. I had a difficult conundrum on how to attach the temple (the part of the eyeglass that hangs on your ear and extends to attach to the hinge) of my glasses back to the eyeglass frame and they nailed it. So much appreciation, you two!

June 2022, One of the nose bridges on my very favorite pair of sunglasses broke. My husband suggested that I take it to Standard Optical to see if they would replace it; even though they were not purchased from them. Allison was so helpful !!! She fixed my sunglasses and didn’t even charge me anything. This type of customer service is so rare these days ! Thank you Allison for extending the life of my favorite sunglasses. You are sooooo appreciated ! ! ! ! 2021 I have been at Sugarhouse Standard Optical twice and both times their service has been outstanding. I arrived early and they were able to get me started earlier than what my appointment was, which I appreciated. The eye doctor seemed to be thorough and he answered all of my questions. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Thank you, Sugarhouse Standard Optical staff.

I went to have my eyes checked having seen several Dr who had each told me something different, I left confident I knew the condition of my eyes and the cause of my difficulty seeing. Jacob was wonderful to go thru all there many frames, helping me find a frame I can’t wait to get, I just got 2 pair of glasses from somewhere else and I don’t love them, nor did I get help finding a pair I would. Everyone there was great start to finish. I know you will love it as much as I did.

We have been going to Standard Optical for years. They are reasonably priced, have convenient hours, and lots of locations. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the first person we spoke to when we got there was not very nice and seemed put out by helping us. The doctor was great and so was the girl that we finished up with.

Jacob was AMAZING! He took time to help me find new glasses and was honest about how they looked. When I went to pick them up he was very thorough and made sure they fit well and were straight. All while being very professional and keeping everything clean. I highly recommend the Sugar House SO AND Jacob!

I’ve been going to Standard Optical in Sugarhouse for 8 years now. I get all my eye exams, glasses and contacts through them. I really appreciate the non-sense and straight forward manner of the optician. I’ve worked with a variety of sales associates and I always leave laughing and in a better mood than when I came. Sometimes this location can get pretty busy and I’ve had to wait for adjustments or assistance if I pop in. But my appointments have always happened on time. I recently opted for LASIK through them because I trust the optician and the company. But I’m a little sad that means I won’t be going on for my yearly visits and occasional glasses adjustments anymore!

They have great front desk employees and my eye exam flew by. They have a wide variety of glasses and was very helpful in finding something I love (I had the rep grab a lot a lot). I had a great experience here! (I waited about a week and a half for my glasses to be delivered)

They are so amazing here, I even got my babies glasses from them. Jacob helped me both times, he's great with babies too.

Can I just say Dr. Catt is just the best! I just had an appointment with him to see what was in my eye. He handles things with the upmost care and always makes me feel at ease when handling my eyes. He also convinced me to get lasik even though I was terrified and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Thanks you guys for taking such good care of your patients!

I had an eye appointment yesterday, the eye exam was a little more efficient than I'd had had before, and the doctor was focused and good at what he was doing. I think the efficiency was better because the equiptment used was top of the line, and the doctor seemed a little inured but extremely focused and smart! I trusted and know he was able to find my perfect prescription which is the most important part of the visit isnt it? The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful! The lady that helped me pick out my glasses was a god send she was so amazing. I was worried that because they have to clean the glasses afterward that she would get annoyed because I was selecting so many frames to try on, but she was SO invested in finding me a good pair that she would hand me selections she thought were cute as well... and it's not like she was upselling me because we stayed on the $50.00 frame rack so it didnt have anything to do with upselling 🥰 then when we tried the "maybe" selection on back at the desk she effortlessly acknowledged my opinion and wants, my boyfriends all while some how throwing her own assertive opinion that was super genuine out there without offending anybody and while being so charismatic... I wish I had those kind of social skills lol! Couldnt have been more happy with my visit. Well except for parking but it's all apart of the Sugar House experience, so just think of it as an adventure lol. I might ask about parking before you come to this appointment I think they have a assigned parking area just ask before you come! Theres a cold stones next door... just saying. Lol... no I am not a paid sponsor 🤣😋🤣

Much more expensive than america best even with insurance allowance. Pretty much designer glasses only. The appointment was fine. The selection and prices of frames not so much. UPDATE: Its been two weeks and have been informed that my glasses that I ordered have not passed their quality inspection and told me this process can take up to another two weeks. Final update: Only a few days after I posted they had a loaner pair close to my prescription.

Great service as always. Customer service is definitely highly valued and the staff are great at doing their job effectively and saving you time. They were flexible with my requirements since I could not leave my glasses with them initially. I still go to them despite them being out of network!

EXCELLENT Customer Service - I went to the location in Sugarhouse, 2124 s. Highland Drive. First impression: The store was clean, organized, and the staff greeted me with a warm smile. They were very accommodating, polite, and professional. They even got out some toy blocks for my daughter to play with! I appreciated the help selecting the right frames for me and their honest opinions. I felt I could trust the staff, especially Tara. She spent a lot of her time with me, and was very knowledgeable about everything. Not only am I happy with her service in the store, Tara went the extra mile the next day and sent me pictures of the frames I chose so I could show my friends why I was so excited to get glasses!! Above and beyond the normal customer service level. I haven't received my glasses yet, but I'm looking forward to the same excellent customer service I experienced already from this location. Thanks, Tara, and staff!!!

The experience overall was good. The only complaint that I had has to do with selecting a new frame after my exam. The saleswoman didn’t ask for any input for me as to my style or reference what I was wearing to choose a new frame. She showed me a leopard print frame along with another weirdly patterned option. I ended up not getting frames and felt like it was a waste of time....just ask what the guest is looking for!

Admittedly, this is a very late review, as I last went in September 2012. Best eye care experience to date, and I still go to them, just a different store cuz I moved. I had an entire entourage of very helpful employees helping me to select the best frames for my face by offering opinions on several selections. Never got that kind of attention from any other eye care store and I am grateful to them for their professional commitment and service.

I always go to Standard Optical for my eye exams and glasses/sunglasses. They are professional ,courteous, and knowledgeable. They always go out of their way to give great customer service. I had a pair of upscale sunglasses that were damaged while in the case, in my suitcase (makes you wonder how your bags are handled on the plane, lol). They went to bat for me with the manufacturer and got a replacement pair at no cost. That was a very pleasant surprise.

These guys are awesome I recently had Laser Corrective surgery with them. They helped me get it all set up and have been great with my aftercare. Giving me proper knowledge with my eyes, like taking care of them and great new eyewear, like the best option for sunglasses to protect my new vision. Between the manager Jake who made sure the glasses fit well (didn't know so much could be done here!), and Aundrea who listened to my minor issue and moved fast to reach out to me and resolve it I'm very happy. Overall I am satisfied with the staff, management, and my glasses. Will be going back.

My experience here was not a pleasant one from the beginning. When I picked up my glasses finally they just handed them to me in the case without showing them to me or offering to sit down and see how they look, fit ect... Totally rude and unprofessional. My bifocal line was wrong. And the annoying glasses hang on the tip of my nose!!! Ugh I am so irritated with them. My glasses are crooked. They don't put attention to detail like they should. Frustrating. Yeah I forgot to mention they don't care enough to call you when your prescription is ready. When I call I always asked about my glasses. Oh yeah they are ready they said. Oh thank you for doing your job.

I had LASIK surgery a week ago. I can't say enough for this company. From start to finish the process was easy and incredibly flexible. The results were better than expected. Dr. Catt and Dr. Williams were so great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

Standard Optical has been amazing through my experience of my eye health. I have been going since I was young yearly and now just went through the whole laser\PRK Experience. After being qualified for lasik I ended up needing PRK and long story short- they have been so supportive. From my pre-ops to the phone call of being terrified the day after my appointment to my post oops- they have been all so welcoming and understanding. I really appreciate all they have done.

Come for the LASIK, stay for the, well you don't need to stay anymore because you've got fabulous new eyes. I went to standard for glasses and contacts years ago, and yes they can be pricey but it was well worth it, the glasses I got are still in perfect shape after 4+ years and they'll fix em for life at no charge. I got lasik done through them and I honestly don't know why I didn't do it years ago. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable and had me in and out in less time than expected. Thier pricing was comparable with everyone else if not a little cheaper but the kicker was that the quoted price was it, no hidden this or that and my surgery is guaranteed for lifestyle. Pretty hard to beat.

Sammy was so professional & helpful from the time I called the store to walking in. I went to the standard optical in Taylorsville & was turned away because she said it's just her & her schedule is full. Left & called West valley location & was told that they are full but you can walk in and we'll try to squeeze you in. Was very disappointed at both locations cause I was told that you can walk in & don't need an appointment if you just need the frame. I would refer & definitely again take the drive out to the Sugar house location from now on.

My experience here was AMAZING!! After my eye exam I decided to get a new kind of vision procedure called the Visian ICL. BEST DECISION EVER! Never have I been able to see more than arm's length in front of me and now I'm 20/15! The people from Standard Optical even came with me to the surgery center to cheer me on and hold my hand! This whole experience was incredible and life changing and I wouldn't have trusted anyone but Dr. Williams and Standard Optical!!!

Well....how do I even begin to write this review which is not with my utmost genuineness and sincerity. I first wondered into Standard Optical Sugarhouse like 17 years ago and Ingrid was standing there behind the counter smiling and asked to help me out. That was the beginning of a long relationship with Standard Optical as my personal and only eye place. I've only seen Dr. Millet for my eye exams ever since. My friends comment on how far and precise my vision is when wearing my prescription from Dr Millet. BUT!!!!!!!.......I never thought I needed to write a review because they knew how much I raved about them and brought friends in . Michael and Alisha have been the fore runners helping me UNTIL RECENTLY and also why I'm writing this review for Standard Optical. I had one of the BEST FRAME BUYING EXPERIENCES OF A LIFETIME when...."DOUGLAS FREEMAN"....who I'd love to say is now the manager of this particular Standard Optical. I had had my exam done previously the day before at the Cottonwood Standard Optical but didn't have time to pick out frames which was actually a total GOD sent divine appointment. Doug has an out going yet personable personality. Doug is about being present in the moment with the most honest opinions and fabulous ideas concerning you as his client wanting to get the ABSOLUTE most perfect frames that compliment you as a person. He is a TREASURE!!! I brought my friend along to pick up my new glasses and she's going to do everything she can to have her & her husband go to Doug! Seriously, you will not be disappointed! The frames and prescriptions I've had over the years have really added soooooooo much to my Life and have given me superb vision to enjoy and get the most out of the gift of seeing. I have had a truly great experience here every time I have visited. I have recently had LASIK through Standard Optical and the procedure went as smooth as it gets. Bit of a cliche but it has changed my life! (thank you Dr Lloyd Williams). I have had the pleasure of meeting all the staff at 2190 Highland Drive. They are very friendly, accommodating and genuinely concerned in my progress. I have visited this branch four times. An eye exam, consultation for LASIK, post op straight after my LASIK and one month afterwards. Dr William Catt is knowledgeable, professional, reassuring and everything you want in a doctor.

It amazed me how on top of the information giving they were. I got a call the day before my lasik procedure from a very friendly woman who made sure I had all the info I needed. And then during the procedure the doctor and staff explained everything before it happened and what to expect. I was extremely comfortable the entire process and really loved the extra care they took.
