This was my second year back. The desk staff and Dr. Z are all so wonderful, patient, and kind. Procedures are explained as they’re happening and I never felt rushed in any part of the appointment. It all moved at a nice pace. Questions are encouraged and answered. It was another positive experience. Plus they take cool photos of your eye/optic nerve as part of the exam and it’s just wild to see!

Hi, I'm James! I saw Dr Zyrina's partner yesterday . I don't think I have ever had such a careful --and carefully explainedeye exam in my life, and as I am a professional truck driver, where eye exams are a yearly requirement, that is saying something! . Every procedure was done with an explanation, and with caution regarding Covid, of course. The computer images were shared with me and the details pointed out. I cannot think how any optometrist practice could be better. Not expensive, either. I recommend this practice without reservation!!

Dr. Zyrina cares about her patients, takes her time during the appointment, and is very thorough in her explanations. We did have a little bit of a hiccup with the practice a few months ago and I was very unhappy about a situation. Dr. Zyrina contacted me personally to resolve the incident and listened to my dissatisfaction with an openness and willingness to understand what I had experienced. They were great with her and explained everything they were doing. I decided to make myself an appointment since I was way overdue for an exam. I had a wonderful experience. They are very thorough and they have very high tech equipment. They go over their findings and explain everything so that you can understand it. Admittedly- I have a lot of eye exam anxiety. I have an astigmatism, and a high myopia (extremely nearsighted) that has made finding a lens prescription difficult in the past. The reviews are more than accurate - Dr Zyrina was amazing. She was kind, and thorough with me - straightforwardly explaining what we are working towards and what she is seeing with my vision and eye health. Her office is very up to date with new technology, and very clean. Covid precaution is highly valued. Her assistant at the front desk (Liz, I believe!) is also super nice and immediately set me at ease. It's a cute, local optometry & glasses boutique, exactly what you'd expect given the location and size. The staff are friendly, and while they don't have the sheer quantity of frames as the chain stores typically do, the frames they *do* have are all stylish and cover a respectable range of designs. If you live in the area, this is the place to go.

Liz greeted me, was very friendly and super helpful during the checkout process - she had insurance reimbursement forms already completed for me! Dr. Zyrina was also very nice, professional and made me feel like she really cared about my vision health. Vision care is now high tech, and Dr. Zyrina has all the latest machines and will patiently show you the results and explain what she’s seeing and not seeing (and not seeing things in your scans is usually good!). Quite honestly the best experience with an optometrist I’ve had. Dr zyrina was super friendly, explained everything in detail and most importantly took her time to figure out what lenses suited me best. She also was well informed about the cost of everything and helped guide me through my insurance coverage. Plus they take great precautions considering the pandemic. Everything is wiped down, hand sanitizers everywhere and they let everyone wash up the second they walk in.

Dr. Zyrina was very kind and apologetic and gave me a full refund. Before you go to Pine Vision Care, I recommend you make sure your appointment is with Dr. Zyrina to avoid the situation I went through.* PLEASE read this review before making an appointment. My appointment at Pine Vision Care was my first ever eye exam. To start, the doctor I saw didn't ask me any questions about my symptoms and was quite blunt and rude when I asked her questions. She gave me a slight prescription in one eye, but said it would not make a difference in alleviating my vision problems and eye pain. I went to another eye doctor to get a second opinion and the prescription they gave me is COMPLETELY different. I have been wearing glasses with the prescription given to me by the second doctor and my vision problems and eye pain are gone. During my visit at Pine Vision Care, the doctor's only recommendation for my symptoms was that I purchase Neurolenses. These glasses are around $750 and have no prescription. Her office is one of the only practices that sells them in Philadelphia. I left my appointment with no diagnoses, only a pamphlet for Neurolenses. I'm curious if the practice receives a cut after selling a pair.

I had read great reviews of Dr. Zyrina's office already, which led me to make an appointment, but she and Liz really exceeded all my expectations! Liz helped me pick out a gorgeous pair of new frames, giving honest feedback about how they looked and which she preferred, which made the decision much easier! Dr. Zyrina was very patient with me and all my questions as a new patient. I was really impressed with a lot of the details she took while fitting my new frames as well, I'd never had such a detailed and precise fitting or appointment before! When the overall total came to a bit more than I was ready for, Liz was very understanding and kind about working out how to best proceed with payments and pick up of frames and contacts, it could easily have been an embarrassing conversation but not once was I made to feel uncomfortable or out of place. All of that on top of a clean, tidy office and wonderful selection of frames, I can't wait to stop in and see them again!

Dr. Zyrina is the absolute best. I've never worn contacts before and previously I went to a different doctor who wasn't helpful at all, and even gave me the wrong prescription. Dr. Zyrina spent an hour with me, examining my eyes, answering my questions, and sitting patiently with me to help me figure out the best way to put in the contacts. She's incredibly knowledgeable and kind, clearly an expert in her field. The practice is beautiful and pristine, and Liz at the front desk is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I have to say; this was the best experience I've ever had with an eye doctor. I have been wearing glasses since I was a teen, and never have I felt more comfortable with an eye exam. Dr. Zyrina has the most advanced technology out there. Her practice is clean, fast, friendly and most of all knowledgeable. I left there feeling great about my exam, as we all know the "option 1, 2?" "better? worse?" can be ridiculously frustrating. Not here. I never second guessed myself. I was informed of the health of my eyes, and things were explained in a way that any one could understand. I highly HIGHLY recommend this practice! They are open on weekends, which is a HUGE plus and conveniently located, and is a super chic place!

I received excellent service at Pine Vision Care today. My vision insurance coverage is new and not straight forward in what they do and do not cover. The front desk manager, Liz, worked really hard with me, calling insurance on my behalf on multiple occasions, to ensure my copay was correct. Money is really tight right now because I'm a recent grad, and I felt so comfortable and supported, and not at all judged in my struggle to get care during this all around hard time. Dr. Zyrina was incredibly thorough in her examination. She took the time to analyze my previous lenses, and she cross checked their fit with what she observed during my vision evaluation. The new retina imaging and neuro vision machines provided me with an unprecedented level of insight into my eye health and vision. Dr. Zyrina provided skilled education on how neuro lenses can work to correct the differences between my two eyes, to possibly eliminate the frequent migraines and dizziness I experience. She also simulated their potential affect with trial lenses, which was helpful in guiding my decision making about the purchase. I will definitely be a returning patient.

Really couldn't ask for a better experience! Scheduling by phone was easy, with plenty of options for outside of the '9-5', and office staff was friendly and prepared for me before I came in. Dr. Zyrina took extra time to explain all of the testing, gave in-depth answers to my list of questions, and noted things to be aware of as I get older and my vision changes. They offer an easy option to avoid the dilation, which I usually dread when getting an eye exam. At least with my insurance (VSP), I thought prices were great for the lens and contact examinations and prescriptions. I'm happy I found them!

This is the best eye exam I've ever had and for once I feel like my prescription is spot on. The office is immaculate and super high tech. From the second I met Dr. Zyrina(new patient), she was kind, personable and very thorough in the exam. I'm always dilated(my least favorite) but I didn't have to be and was still able to get the same result in the method used to check my eyes. The doctor explained every step before proceeding as well as what was going on with my vision(everything was great aside from still needing glasses lol). Before I came to Pine Vision Care, I had years of negative experiences going for mandatory annual eye exams (to get more contact lenses). Her office makes use of several state-of-the-art Imaging devices which offer a comprehensive view of one's eyes. Although this is a new business, all the employees are kind, engaging and knowledgeable. The office has a relaxing vibe, and is thoughtfully set up for patients. Further, the prices are competitive with the most affordable services in the city. This is quite simply the place to go in Philly for all eye Care related issues. You won't regret it!

In my search online, I came across a privately owned practice / shop at 10th and Pine which just opened 2 weeks ago called Pine Vision Care. Dr. Julia Zyrina has a beautiful new facility, state of the art equipment and a magnanimous personality. The office manager, Kayla researched my insurance over the phone and got me going in no time. I was worried that there wouldn't be a nice selection of eye wear at the shop, but Dr. Julia has a uniquely amazing European selection of glasses (she's from Russia). After my exam both Julia and Kayla spent an hour helping me pick the perfect frames. The owners pride and passion and her mom and pop facility was just what I was looking for!! In this day and age of huge corporate entities, I look for small businesses that are part of my neighborhood. Julia shared that opening this store was a dream come true for her and her passion is evidence of that. I can't say enough good things about my experience. Very happy that this random internet search was the start of a very nice friendship.
