I had a great time at Stanton optical, it wasn't my 1st time, but it was the 1st time that actually mattered. I enjoyed the experience. I had a wonderful team helping me through my eye exam, helping me with insurance and also the gal who finished up with me to go over my glasses. The 3 women who help me were very informative and knowledgeable but Most importantly caring about helping me and making sure that my needs are met. I was so impressed by this team/teamwork. God-bless you all and thank you so much for all the help in making this experience one to remember! I'm grateful 🙏

The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at Stanton just can’t be beat. Anna and Dr. Kennedy greeted me immediately upon my arrival. Anna talked me through the pre-exam with all the care of someone who knows that the puff tests and camera flashes fill so many of us with anxiety. Somehow she made the process fun, which amazed me. Dr. Kennedy was an absolute joy - her warmth and friendliness kept me at ease through the entire exam. It’s clear she loves what she does. She even helped Alicia in determining which frames I should select; I’m very picky, so was happy to have them both bear with me until I found the perfect fits. Alicia was thorough in making sure my glasses would be exactly what I need. She got to know more about me, and she only offered me features that made sense for how I’ll be using my glasses. Alicia was also very transparent with pricing across the board, so I knew what I was paying for and what all that’s getting me and my vision. All in all, I’m so happy with my experience at Stanton Optical today - I can’t wait to pick up my new glasses. You’re in good hands if you make an appointment here, and the money spent will be well worth the trip.

There is clearly a good reason why I couldn't get an appointment anywhere else. My goal was to give a new place a try for an eye exam, but I couldn't get N accommodating appointment, so I decided to try Stanton again since this location had been so good to me the three other times I visited this location...and they did not disappoint at all. Anna, Chloe and Ashley were so kind and welcoming. Each one explained everything I wanted to know in great detail, and never failed to check on me. Each lady felt like a good friend. I'm definitely sticking with Stanton,and this location. I'm not too keen on the idea of having a virtual exam, but the great customer service made it worth dealing with a virtual eye exam. I love this location!

Anna was so amazing! Helpful, personable but professional, and honest in her opinion of the frame selection! Our family of four all got exams and new glasses all at once. One of the few times I’ve had an understanding/outstanding experience with a customer service/manager of ANY store. I went in to JUST get a pair of contacts but ended up with almost a year supply AND a new pair of glasses, not as an upsell but as genuine care/consideration from one human to another. Walked in and got in for my exam right away I knew that my lens where not going to be the cheapest cost and from start to finish Alicia the new assistant manager helped me through the whole process by saving me an additional 500+ Dollars on my two pairs will definitely be back in the future! I bought a new pair of glasses two months ago and never wore them because of the fit, so I stopped in to have them adjusted and Alicia the manager offered to replace them for no charge as long as I pick the same price frames or pay the difference for more expensive ones. Great customer service was not expecting that and was very happy they offered it.

Good experience. The only thing I didn't like was that the Dr. was on video and not in person. The Dr. didn't explain what was wrong with my eyes and what I needed. The employees working there were very helpful. The woman that checked me in and started the process was great and explained a lot. The woman helping after the eye exam did a great job also.

I have tried many different places for eye exams but my experience with Stanton optical EXCEEDS every other experience. The two ladies who were in the office when I came in were extremely helpful and personable. The virtual exam was new to me, but everything went smooth and I was in and out of the exam chair in no time. I'd like to personally call out Alyssa for her assistance and patience while I picked out new glasses, sunglasses and contacts. Had an issue with lenscrafters trying to get my daughters glasses where they said we missed the appointment (by one minute, cause we were supposed to go to back desk not front desk??), went to other place in the mall and of course they couldn't see us for a week. Just out of sheer luck I stumbled on stanton optical and made an appointment online (seem to have them every 15 min or so). Went there.... night and day difference in how they treat customers! You can pick convenient appointment times, friendly staff, always a good sale it seems. Got daughters stuff taken care of and still left with all my appendages in tact. I liked how I was treated so I made an appointment for my son about a year later..... just about a copy cat appointment of the first!. Now today, I took my third child in for an eye exam.... and yet again experience was same as first two trips! If you need an eye exam, glasses, or contacts.... you can go to the rest or just head straight to the best, Stanton Optical!!!!

This was my first time using Stanton Optical. From start to finish, was a very good experience all the way around. This was my first time experiencing a "virtual" eye doctor appointment -- very interesting and efficient! Alisha (the tech who cared for me during the exam) and Alyssa Richards, the sales manager, were both very friendly, upbeat, and professional. I got exactly what I requested (I needed an exam for contacts AND new glasses), found a great pair of frames and ordered a new pair of glasses. Alyssa even took time to examine my old glasses (I was considering re-using the old frames and just getting new lenses). I decided to go with an entirely new pair, since it wasn't that much more. I received a text about a week later that my glasses were in. Bill Haynes, the associate who helped me during my final visit was just as upbeat and professional as the ladies, which was remarkable, because they were super busy with a couple walk-ins besides customers already being helped. The staff present made sure that EVERYONE that walked through the door was ACKNOWLEDGED (HUGE in my book) and told that they would be helped shortly. That is SO important so that your customer(s) don't feel "ignored" or "invisible" -- even if you are super busy. Just to know that THEY know you are there....and SEE you.....HUGE.

I have used Stanton Optical on Dodge St. In Omaha since 2011 and they have been wonderful to me. I really like the eye exams and the Optometrist, Dr. Krystle Kennedy answers ALL of my questions. This time, I brought in my own frames to get new lenses for the new perscription and felt no pressure to buy frames off the wall. In fact, I brought in a pair of favorite frames that had broken to show them my ideal frame aspirations and they fixed it for me, within seconds! I thought that my favorite frames were beyond repair and now they have a new life. I tried Lens Crafters last year due to my company's insurance and didn't even get my prescription filled, I was so disappointed in their service. Lesson learned, I'm staying with Stanton, even without insurance!

First time going here and I will never go anywhere else!!! My wife and I brought in our 2 youngest kids for their first time, 9-10 years old. Well, after a million questions, every pair of glasses on display tried on and spread out everywhere, 7 pairs of glasses and 2 boxes of special contacts later… they were still smiling and made our kids excited about their new accessories. I left with money still in our pockets because they made it as affordable as possible and helped us understand our choices. Plus we went back the next day and got 2 more pairs. I just picked up two pairs of glasses from Stanton Optical on Dodge Street. I have never been able to see as clearly as i have with these glasses. Dr Kennedy is their optometrist . My husband had been raving about her since he got new glasses from Stanton. She was patient and took her time. It was a great visit. They have a wide range of frames at all price points and the people who helped my pick out my new frames were great.When I walked out of the store, my vision was amazing. I felt like Dorothy in Oz when she walked out and saw the world in color. I can not recommend Stanton and De. Kennedy enough - go visit for yourself. I don't know where to begin. The amount of care I received from Alyssa is just amazing. I was already nervous about going in due to being transgender. Not only was I treated respectfully, along with being greeted by name and as my preferred gender, Alyssa helped me pick out glasses that made a world of difference for me. Purchased 4 frames (daughter and self) very stylish and affordable. Absolutely love the option to use insurance or self pay. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and very willing to help. The new technology is different than I'm accustomed too as the doctor is in a remote location operating the eye machine. He too was nice and accommodating. I definitely would recommend Stanton for your next eye exam.

I had thought they went above and beyond early on, but then they outdid themselves. They did it again by helping me replace a pair of glasses just outside of warranty with no out of pocket. Great service for me. No appointment needed for eye exam but it helps. A little hard to get in touch with on the phone sometimes but extremely great service in person. The manage Carol Ann is wonderful and really helped pick out 3 great pairs of glasses. Glasses fit great, look great and prescription is right on! Definitely recommend!

I brought William a mess and he fixed everything. I had an incorrect Rx in frames I purchased online with an updated Rx in hand from another provider that wouldn't fill my frames. He answered all of my questions, updated the measurements and filled the frames for a very reasonable price. He also took the time to teach me how to use them (progressives) when I picked them up. I went to get an eye exam for contacts. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and really seemed to care about me as a customer. Angie was very kind and kept it fun during the exams. I’ve never had contacts and had trouble putting them in and taking them out. Corryne gladly offered to do it for me numerous times and showed me how to do it myself. She made sure I was comfortable with the contacts and didn’t rush me to make a decision. Miranda helped me during the billing portion and made it a pleasurable experience. Hi my name is Phyllis, I had an issue a few times with my contact lenses, they were too thin and hard to get out my eyes. I met with Carol the manager from Omaha Nebraska. I went in today February the 12th. She is very apologetic. She took time to understand what kind of contact lenses I want it, and I need. I need thick contact lenses because they're too hard to get out my eyes. I took all the old contact lenses back that I bought from them that could not use. She reordered my contact lenses they haven't came back yet. But she's promises me, please contact for be easy to get out, a nice color. So I'm just waiting for one more week timer for my contacts to arrive. Because I told her I was having knee surgery and I can't keep coming back and forth. So hopefully this could be a very satisfying experience when I get my contacts back. I was angry the first visit. But they made it right should we order my contact lenses that did not charge me for the order. Which I appreciate because I spent $300 the first time. So next week I'll be back on Google to follow up and let you guys know how did my experience go. Thank you I just want some comfortable contact lenses that fit. I don't mind paying three to four hundred dollars if I have to. I just want to be comfortable and happy.

I had a horrible experience at another vision center on April 8. My significant other had the wherewithal to call Stanton to make an appointment. They were pleasant from the start; they actually apologized that they couldn't get us in for an appointment the same day, but could get me in the following afternoon. On the day in question I was greeted immediately and within 5 minutes was in for the pre-exam. The optometrist on staff was friendly, but thorough and professional, and after the exam she briefly discussed with me my needs and possible future concerns. The manager Eric was great. He gave me a very reasonable price and was even able to help with some custom requests I had regarding fitting new lenses for an old pair of frames as well as a tinting for the pair I would regularly wear for work. He was also very personable and just all-all-around customer service savvy. I was advised two weeks' turnaround time which for a company that does so much bulk business is not surprising. After two weeks I called to double-check with them and was assured that three of the four pairs I ordered were in for pickup. When I arrived today to retrieve them, I was again greeted immediately and presented with 3/4 of my order, with the assurance that the last pair would be in before the end of the week. I could have been in and out, but Eric was thorough in checking to make sure my glasses fit, were comfortable, and were the correct prescription. (He's also pretty nice to visit with.) As we left he assured me that if we had any problems to feel free to contact them and advised me that my purchases had limited warranty coverage, which means a lot to someone on a budget. Thanks to Stanton of Omaha! We'll definitely keep you in mind for the future.

Alison truly excels at her job, and even though there were other customers in the store that she was assisting, she was always available and eager to help with any questions I had. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us the best deal we could get however when they sent out the order for our glasses the factory did not read their order form correctly and gave us two pairs of the same classes versus a pair of glasses and sunglasses as per the order given. We have been customers for more than six years with three family members consistently going there and have realized that since there optical lab is no longer in The same store and they have to order out things are clearly sliding. So if I could give a star level for this alone I clearly would be giving a 1 to 2 star. We have been told for the last couple of years that this was coming back but has clearly been put on hold by the higher ups. I truly hope that they bring it back.

Would not recommend Stanton optical. It has taken over three months to get my glasses/prescription correct. Guessing this has to do with the fact that you don’t see a doctor in person, as other reviews mention the doctor is remote video chatting into your exam room. Seems this may have caused them to get my prescription wrong. The only good thing about Stanton is they do everything they can to make the issues right however it’s a pain to continually go back to their office and it’s taking way too long.

the initial experience at Stanton was good. however, after that everything went downhill. they initially told me my glasses would be done in a month, then they were not and said It would be another month. so I had to wait 2 months for something that was supposed to be done in a month. then when I inquired about it, the guy on the telephone told me I could pick up the glasses that were done AND pay full price for both glasses even though I hadn't received the 2nd pair. nice try on scamming me. I give 5 stars for the initial visit...after that I give 1 star and if I could give zero stars I would. update*** my husband went and had an eye exam and glasses done at Stanton. the initial visit was again great, but after that everything went downhill. he got 2 pairs with bifocals. apparently the doctor who first saw him gave him the wrong prescription, and he had to have them sent back yet again to have them corrected a 3rd time. he also got some goodies that I wasn't told about when I got my glasses. which was free tinting. so I asked for tinting. originally my glasses were supposed to be finished in 24 hours for the tint process. Stanton ended up burning the lense with the tint so had to send the glasses out for remanufacture of the lens. and was not done right the 2nd time. so they had to send them out again. the 3rd time was finally done right. this is the last time I go Stanton for anything. I will pay full price next for the service done right the first time.

This is for the Omaha, NE location - I called multiple times and spoke with Tom Besse (yes, I had to get his name to write a glowing review). He was the only one working and incredibly busy every time, but still attempted repeatedly to send out the Rx for me. We discovered in the end that the email delivery system wasn't working for whatever reason, but I needed it ASAP so sending by mail would have taken too long. Tom went out of his way to take a picture of the Rx and text it to me, and I cannot tell you how appreciative I was to receive that level of customer service! Just based on the background noise, it was obvious he was swamped every time I called , but he still managed to be not only extremely personable and professional, but also went above and beyond to ensure I got what I needed in a timely manner. My husband got his new glasses about 3 months ago. A few days ago he leaned on them on the arm of the couch and snapped them in half. He wanted to Super glue them back together and I said, "let's just go back to Stanton and see what they can do." We went in today and told Eric what happened. He was glad he didn't glue them, saving the lenses. He went to the display case and located the demo pair, popped my husband lenses out of the broken pair, snapped them in to the demo pair. Ever go on an interview to one of those degree mill colleges...like the Devry Institute or whatever? They use high pressure, sign up for classes right now, tactics to make you feel like you're wasting their time and guilt you into signing up for something becore you had time to think it over. That's how stanton Optical sells glasses. They try to pressure you into everything and it's so irritating. A few years back I gave them two frames to have my new prescription put in. They also did the eye exam. The exam went completely fine and the prescription was without complaints...3 years later I finally had another eye exam and I'm still wearing that prescription while waiting for my new glasses (FROM ANOTHER STORE). I gave them the two pairs of frames...one was a nice pair of Ralph Lauren glasses and the other was an antique pair I've dated to about 1860. Because I didn't buy the glasses at their store they had me sign a hand written liability waver. I've dropped off frames for new lenses before and know the risks, but have never had an issue. However the morons at Stanton screwed it up! The antique pair was supposed to be sunglasses and the Ralph Lauren was supposed to be normal everyday lenses. They screwed it up and got it backwards. I asked them to correct it as the original order reflected their mistake. They told me they'd remove the tint from the Ralph Lauren lenses...I asked if it was possible and they never said yes. They said they'd try. I came back and found that they'd ruined the frames. They looked like someone had splattered them with bleach...or that they had alopecia. Huge white spots on nice thick black plastic frames. Also they had very deep indentations from the equipment they used on them. I asked what happened and they told me I brought them in exactly like that. Huh? I brought in unusable glasses to have lenses put in? I told them that there was no way the frames looked like that when I brought them in and they tole me I signed a waiver so there was nothing I could do. They added the tint to the sunglasses, but they made them too dark. Nothing could be done. They should have some sort of warranty on the lenses so if they screw up they'll fix it, nope. They screw up and they'll try to fix it and if they can't you're out. I took the prescription across the street to pearl vision and got a new pair of glasses. Everything was fine there. I will say that stanton is a great lace to look at for buying frames if you plan to have someone else put lenses in. They have frames as cheap as $14.95 and a lot of their frames are in the $60 - 100 range, which is pretty good...however they're brands you've never ever heard of, but who cares if you like the frames. Even the $14.95 frames seem to be good quality, especially for the price. I recently went in there and found a great pair of frames, the best looking I've ever had...and guess what? They just happened to be a $14.95 pair...wasn't even looking for cheap necessarily. I did take the frames across the street to pearl vision to have lenses put in. Good: Dirt cheap standard quality frames, average priced eye exams. Bad: Everything else you can imagine. Summary: NEVER EVER EVER EVEN CONSIDER HAVING THEM PUT LENSES IN ANY FRAME EVER. If you don't mind saying "no, I'm still looking" or "Oh, no thanks" every 5 seconds and have another store in mind for lenses then by all means consider them for frames.

Great Selection - ended up w/ a Vera Wang pair and a 2nd one for less than I usually pay for 1 pair elsewhere. Crystal was great. Did notice they get a 2nd opinion on where the focal points are, which is a nice touch. Bill corrected my 1st pair to fit my head beautifully....still have to take 2nd pair back in for that, but not their fault. Was "fine" when I left w/ them the 1st time as I wanted to get a feel for how they sit prior to having fitted better. Will go back for future pairs.
