I've been going here for about 5 years and have always had a good experience. You can download the patient forms at home to fill them out ahead of time which I really appreciate. Once I get to the office the wait time is minimal, they pretty much always bring me into the patient room on my appointment time. Dr. Harris has always been great at explaining exactly what's going on with my eyesight and my prescriptions work as they should. What else can you as for? Thanks Donelson EyeCare!

I've been going to Donaldson eye care for eye exams for years and they are fantastic. The front office is always friendly and the wait isn't more than a few minutes. The back office staff is super nice and friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The providers are thorough and realistic with their recommendations. The visits are always so quick and easy, highly recommend!

A trusted friend recommended Donelson EyeCare when I had a suspected eye emergency and my current provider had just retired. I called and their after hours service got a Dr. on the line to walk me through my reported symptoms and confirmed I would be worked in first thing the next morning. When I arrived at their Donelson location, I was met with a kind, caring and very professional staff. Although it was a holiday week and they had a busy lobby to boot, they were efficient and patient to hear my concerns. I left their offices with my issues addressed and confidence in my next steps regarding my eye care. I would highly recommend their team from front desk, to prep, to doctors...TOP NOTCH!

I really like Donelson EyeCare. The staff are very friendly and I have yet to have a poor in office experience. I would give them 5 stars based on in-office experience alone. However, I called to order my contacts the other day after a trial period and the staff member told me it would be $712 for a year supply. That didn’t feel right to be because even though I wear daily lenses that are more expensive, I usually pay in the $400 range. I told her I’d have to look elsewhere before purchasing because that seemed astronomically high. I found a year supply of the lenses on Walmart Contacts for $464. It’s a shame that Donelson EyeCare was marking up the price that much!!

The staff at Donelson EyeCare are always so friendly and kind, as well as professional and efficient. I've never been in and out of any kind of doctor's office so quickly before while still feeling like the doctor and staff are not rushing me along in the slightest. They also let you schedule appointments online (literally all I want in a doctor's office) and text you your annual appointment reminder so it's super easy to reschedule each year. The tech and equipment in the office feels very modern as well. Even the eyeball dilating drops seem less unpleasant, and the eye pressure thing no longer blows a puff of air on your eyeballs. Maybe the whole industry has just gotten a glow up since I first got glasses/contacts but I like to believe this office is an early adopter of innovations that make eye care more comfortable for patients. Highly recommend this place! I've had Dr. Waymire and Dr. Harris and both were excellent.

I’m currently in the process of a stem cell transplant at Vandy. I am in temporary housing at this time…. not the best time to step on my glasses! The technician at Donelson EyeCare was so kind and adjusted my glasses within minutes of my arrival. Everyone in the reception area was cordial and helpful. The best vision experience I have ever had as well as the support and staff helping to get my glasses just right. The staff also helped me pick out all my frames and they look very nice. These are the only glasses that I have ever actually been able to wear all day and SEE comfortably. I will also be getting several other pairs of glasses there. Their quality of frames, etc. are much better than the box stores and the prices for my progressive lenses are in line with other vision places. The doctors are very intelligent and take the time to listen and train you as well as the staff. They take care of you to make sure you are satisfied. The service is excellent. The experience is pleasant and I have always dreaded getting my vision checked and picking out new glasses. I can relax with this staff and trust their guidance. I have complete confidence in this office. It is my new "Vision Spa". The office is beautiful and the coffee is good too!

Saturday was my first appointment with Donelson Eye Care. The doctor and the employees were all wonderful. Due to a series of unexpected events, I was left with no choice but to bring my infant to my appointment, and everyone was incredibly understanding. I was so embarrassed when my son cried and screamed through most of my appointment as this is very out-of-character for him, but they really made me feel like we weren't an inconvenience at all. I will continue to visit Donelson Eye Care, and recommend my husband do the same. Next time, I'll ensure I have a babysitter though :) Thanks so much!

I wanted to update my review now that it's been a couple years. I've continued going to Donelson Eyecare since finding it, and I'm still consistently impressed with their friendliness and service. I also really like Dr. Waymire, the nurses, and the receptionists. Everyone is really nice and professional, and I feel like any concerns I have are taken seriously, which is very important to me after being brushed off by previous doctors for specific concerns or issues. I also wanted to mention that I ordered contacts again this past year, but I also opted to get glasses through a program where they sell basic pairs for around $100 for people like me who usually wear contacts but need the extra assurance. They said that I wouldn't have many options, but when they brought out the box, there were at least 20 styles to choose from. The ones I got are super cute, and I've ended up wearing them even more than I originally planned bc they're so nice. Would still highly recommend this practice!! Original review: I found this clinic through my insurance. I had Dr. Bingham. He was really nice and so where all of the people who checked me in and the other staff. The exam was thorough, and I feel like the prices for the exam and contacts were fair. Glasses seemed a little expensive, but honestly they seemed on par with most eye clinic prices I've come across. I just never opt to buy glasses in clinics because of the prices anyway. Everything about my experience there was a 5 star experience.

This was the best of the best doctors I have ever experienced in eye care. They are thorough, warm and kind and the doctors as well as staff have a passion for what they do and how they connect with each individual patient. I did a thorough research of at least two hours and their ratings did not let me down. 5 stars and they didn't disappoint. The best and I'm blessed to have found them! I was visiting Nashville last weekend and realized I left my contacts at home. I reached out to few eye care offices in the area and finally came across Donelson Eye Care. I was told from other places they could not sell me contacts since I was from a different state, and another store told me It would be $100 for 10 contacts!! Finally i found Donelson Eye Care. The lady at the front desk, Victoria, was a pleasure to work with and helped me with everything I needed! When I got there, Hannah, gave me contacts free of charge! Since I don’t live in the area I can’t continue to use them for my eye care needs, but I just wanted to share my experience with them and show the staff that their kindness did not go unnoticed. 10/10 would recommend!

My family and I have been patients with Dr. Harris for several years now, and I absolutely recommend him! The staff at the practice are also really nice. However, I'm giving 3 stars because the place has managed to annoy me - I had an appointment a little over a week ago. Since then I've gotten at least 3 emails asking for a review. I hope that I don't get any additional emails following this review. Good eye doc, but a little misguided on the marketing strategy...

This place is fantastic. It had been over 10 years since my last eye exam, so I was a little weary of where to go. From the appointment scheduling on, the receptionist was so nice! She offered me coffee and airplane cookies, extra points for snacks. The rest of the staff was very helpful. I loved that some of the paperwork was laminated and given to me to sign with a dry-erase marker, how eco-friendly! The frames were a little pricey for me, but they do have a nice, unique selection.

This is my second visit to Donelson Eye Care and I have had an excellent experience both times. This time I went in with my 5 month old and everyone was so accommodating. The optometrist even held my baby while she was fussy and I was trying to get new contacts in my eyes. They also took short breaks while checking my eyes so I could talk to and reassure my baby. They also made sure that I knew all the cost and how much my insurance would cover before I got my exam which was very helpful.

My 92 year old mother was a patient of Donelson Eyecare for many many years. She now has Dementia & is in assisted living. She recently rolled over on her glasses & completely destroyed them. They were so mangled l just knew there was no way to save them . She is physically unable to go in for an eye exam & new glasses. So I took them to Donelson Eyecare hoping for a miracle & Ross gave me one. He looked at the mangled mess & didn't sound optimistic but was willing to give it a try. He came back with them & they looked like new. I was amazed beyond belief & so thankful for what he was able to do. Because of Ross I was able to avoid an inevitable hardship for my mom. Everyone has been extremely helpful and thorough I went through multiple prescription changes at Visionworks and still had problems with text on screens. The dr was very thorough and made the necessary adjustments and also realized I needed prescription eye drops. My insurance wouldn't cover any of the prescription The ladies up front actually went through the trash to find the paperwork they had sent in that should have been approved and then contacted them and went through multiple options to find one that was more affordable. Everyone definitely went above and beyond and this was all a few days after the tornado happened and I'm sure they had lots to deal with outside of work yet they were still smiling and going out of there way to help me. Unless I move I will never go anywhere else for my eye care and will recommend you all to anyone else. Thank you so much for all of your help!

I am driving through on a trip and I lost a contact. I called up the clinic and they were happy to help. I was able to get my script sent over from my primary office and they were able to find me a viable option from their trial contacts to get me through until I got back home in 10 days. They have a bunch of optometrists and a medical doctor on staff. Their front desk staff is also incredible to work with

I had the worst problem going on with my eye, first night I went to the ER and of course they didn’t know what they were talking about and performing the excessive as not needed. I went to this eye doctor the next day ( called in and they were willing to see me) he knew what he was talking about after being there for 5 minutes! He knew the resolution and the kind of pain I was in. Immediately reacted and started fixing my issues. I left with a contact bandage on and a bunch of eye drops and had to get a prescription one as well. I finally could lay down and sleep. I followed up the next day with him again and progress was 150% from where I was. He knew what I needed once again the pain I was in and I picked up another precrsition for a daily eye drop from this point on to prevent this and also followed up 2 days later and was fully healed. He knew exactly what he was doing and I couldn’t of asked for any other doctor that’s better then him. The ladies at the front was so polite and respectful and very helpful. I loved everything about this place! Awesome job Team I will be coming back in the near future for follow ups!

Everyone is extremely nice!! My first appt was 5/28/19 for an eye injury- my wait time was over an hour. Dr. Zimmerman was excellent & recognized I was looking for new optometrist. For my follow-up Fri 5/31 he suggested I see Dr. Waymire who was out of the office the day I was scheduled plus another wait of 30 minutes. Another doc saw me to say the eye was healing and sent me on my way. Very disappointing!

Gave me contact prices so I can shop. I recommend the Optomap if you don't like dilation. It's not covered by insurance, but they gave me the price up front.

These people are quite literally the best! I was driving through Nashville on vacation, and had forgotten extra contacts in my home state of Illinois. Feeling slightly blind, I popped in to their store thinking I would have to pay for an entire eye exam. No way! They helped me request my current prescription from my eye doctor at home, and then were able to give me contacts without the need for a whole separate eye exam! I can't thank these people enough for their kindness and helpfulness. 100% would come here again. Highly recommend!!!

**Attention Special Needs Parents** I recently took my Autistic son to see Dr. Waymire and let me just say.. WOW! I was extremely impressed by how kind and patient she was with him. He had so much anxiety about going to the eye doctor due to a really bad experience elsewhere, but by the end of the appointment he was all smiles! I could tell she had plenty of experience with special needs kids and that is not an easy find for parents like myself. She moved at his pace and never forced him to do any testing he wasn't comfortable with. She is also very thorough and explains everything she is doing as she does it. I can't even begin to describe what it means to have my son be so comfortable in her office. She's amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone with special needs children.

I visited Donelson Eye Care about a year ago and though my experience wasn't terrible, it also wasn't what I was looking for and I was unimpressed. When I arrived they didn't have my appointment down, which I had made online. That's an understandable mistake as we can't always rely on technology and I understand there are glitches and they still saw me so that was good. I had to ask the doctor (Waymire) who performed my exam if my prescription changed. Generally when you go to the eye doctor they address that once they have examined you after all that's what you are there for. I was told that the assistant who was in the room would go over my eye care insurance with me and he did not. Before leaving I asked to get my glasses adjusted and the woman who did it did not even feel them around my ears or anything after adjusting them, which in my past experience whoever has adjusted my glasses they always feel for themselves to see if it feels right besides me just telling them. I will say the staff was friendly, however I was not impressed with my visit so I decided to go with a different eye doctor this year.

I have been a patient with Donelson Eye Care for about 5 years now. I have ordered contact lenses and eyeglasses through them and have never had anything less than perfect service. Also, I've never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes to get called back from the waiting room for an exam, which is a big plus. Love them!

I am VERY impressed with Donelson Eye Care! I was new to Nashville and needed to find a local doctor to follow up on eye care needs my previous ophthalmologist had identified. Dr. Waymire and team listened, asked their questions, ran tests, then explained my eye health situation in a way that made sure I really understood and had good space for questions. SO important, and unfortunately not universal in patient care--but Dr. Waymire rocked it! I also really appreciated not experiencing pressure to buy glasses at this appointment. I already have multiple pairs of glasses, and that's one thing that can feel uncomfortable at eye appointments I've been to at other offices. Donelson Eye Care has this great form that they gave me at registration where I could mark what my intentions were for the visit. I indicated that I didn't want to buy new glasses unless it was necessary (from a prescription standpoint). And since it wasn't, they even helped make a tweek to loosen some tension I was feeling on my existing frames. I left my appointment knowing where my eye health was at and feeling very cared for as a patient. Thank you Donelson Eye Care!

I have seen Dr. Waymire a few times for Chronic Dry Eye. I didn’t know that dry eye was actually a thing, I just knew that my eyes were red and burning daily. After a few tests, Dr. Waymire diagnosed my symptoms and explained this condition to me. She was very informative and patient with me, as I had a lot of questions and concerns. The cost was more than I anticipated but I did take in to consideration that I was seeing a specialist. As a 33 yr old female, this was not the diagnosis I would have liked to have because it can’t be cured, makes wearing eye makeup very difficult and interrupts many of my daily activities. But I do have hopes that Dr. Waymire will help me get my eyes to a comfortable place. She and her Nurse, Rachel are great and I would highly recommend them to anyone suffering with Dry Eye.

I was a patient here for a couple years because it was close to my office. Went there for my annual eye exam twice. Apparently you have to ask for both an exam and a contact fitting or they won't do both. Super inconvenient when it's time to reorder contacts and you find out your contact prescription is expired. The electronic system they use is not very good for contacting them. They have to print, scan, then email a PDF of a scan of a PDF instead of just emailing the original copy. Also, they seem really expensive. I noticed my bill was $300-$400 for my annual exam, which apparently didn't include my contact fitting. Not very convenient for those who like to get things done quick and efficiently.

Anyone in search of an eye doctor, please see Dr. Amy Waymire! I came into the office early this week due to an emergent eye infection and I was quickly squeezed into Dr Amy Waymire's schedule. I couldn't have asked for a more professional, compassionate, informative Doctor than her. She explained everything to me at every step of the eye examination, and in terms that I understood. In all my years of encountering medical professionals, no one has stood out more than Dr Amy Waymire with regards to 'bedside manner'. She really impressed me and helped calm my nerves so much. She felt like a Doctor that truly cared, and saw you as a person, versus a patient. Exceptional Doctor, the very best of the best - be sure to request for Dr Amy Waymire specifically!

I want to thank the entire staff on how wonderful my brother was treated. Having epilepsy on top of having a stroke, everyone was kind and accepting. My brother also suffers from a genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis which causes flesh like tumors on the outside of the skin. My brother was accepted and everyone treated him no different from a person without Neurofibromatosis as many people will stare at him or be afraid of him.
