I went here many years ago and thought it was great, but then my insurance changed. I tried the chains, Vision World & Pearle, and didn’t have good experiences (pressure sales, rude employees, long waits). I recently decided to pay out of pocket a bit and go back to Look and See for my exam. From the moment I walked in, everything happened smoothly, I didn’t feel pressured into any services, the exam was thorough and the doctor was nice. I’m so glad I went back. If your insurance is in network for Look and See you should try this place out for sure. If not, and you can afford paying out of pocket (I think it was $115) I still think you’ll be happy you did.

Look + See’s doctors and staff are always professional, kind, and attentive. Dr. VanMeter is very thorough during her exams and will always make sure that you have all the information you need about your eye’s health. On the retail side, there are great, fashionable frames to pick from and there’s free parking in the covered garage through the alley.

All of my experiences with Look and See have been positive. The store itself is divided meaningfully, with each space including adequate room to facilitate its functionality. Further, all of the staff I interacted with was kind and patient. Particularly the glasses technician Angel, whom I interacted with on two occasions, was helpful. Her work on my glasses was fastidious and thorough, and I could see clearly what she was doing because the workspace was displayed. There was no "magic" and I find transparency very reassuring. When it was clear that my glasses could not be completely repaired (even after consulting with other techs, another honesty which I appreciated), Angel informed me of what was wrong with my frames, why they couldn't be fixed here, and gave me the information on the one time replacement warranty. I am grateful for her service and would only suggest that it be made possible to tip her! The frames themselves which I purchased here are very beautiful. I find their color to be attractive but not garish and the shape to be flattering to my face. However, I wish the build quality were higher. They aren't especially flimsy or of poor materials, but my previous frames were much cheaper and lasted longer without breaking or bending. These frames were quite expensive, and although pretty, I think for this price I wish they could survive more wear. Specifically the spring hinge on one of the bows was broken after being laid down on by mistake. This is barely the fault of the store or any of its employees, and is perhaps even unfair to expect any glasses to survive such treatment, but my previous pair survived much worse and therefore I felt the comparison important. Overall I have had great experiences here and highly recommend it!

I've been to Look and See a few times for routine checkups and glasses/frames updates and I have always had a great experience. Really helpful and friendly service, nice atmosphere inside, and very pleasant and calming doctor to work with. This past time, I had help selecting new glasses frames from Jenna, one of the Opticians, and she provided just the right amount of handholding and helpful consultation to guide me through the selection process while dilated and slightly overwhelmed by all the available choices. Would definitely recommend Look and See!

I've had glasses since I was 8 years old. Since then I've been to roughly 20 different eye doctors. However, I've never had an experience as good as I did today. From the moment I walked in the door everyone was helpful and made the visit fast and efficient. Karen even found my insurance information and had everything ready to go! The space is welcoming and pleasant - a relief compared to many old school eye care facilities. Dr. Olson rocks and made the exam entertaining and educational...very cool! I was able to decide on a pair of awesome new frames in less than 20 minutes thanks to Nikki! Overall...I can't recommend look+see enough! **I found their names on the look+see website, so this isn't a fluff review!**

Going back today to pick up my second set of glasses. Dr. Jerome and her staff are awesome. Very knowledgeable and professional while making me always feel comfortable. They may not be the cheapest but they are quality. It's very simple. You get what you pay for. I am an artist and for the health of my eyes I want the best and am willing to pay more than the local mall shop or big box store. I recommend them to anyone that can appreciate quality and professionalism.

I have been going to Look + See for several years now, and I really enjoy working with Dr. Jerome and the entire staff there. They make eye appointments easy, low-stress, and actually fun. I have experienced nothing but great service whether it be via e-mail, over the phone, or in person. There was even one incident where they accidentally over-charged me for one of my visits, and several weeks later called to personally apologize for the mishap and potential inconvenience to me, and offer either a refund, or a credit to future charges. The only real down I can think of is I wished that they had a more varied selection of glasses in-house. But I understand that can totally just be my personal preferences and taste in glasses more than anything. Overall, I love coming here and will be sticking with them for the foreseeable future!

I don't think I had even shut the door upon entering and I was already being asked how I could be helped. Every step of the appointment was incredibly smooth, no long waits, very professional, a modern and clean environment, and most importantly very knowledgeable, friendly staff. I love this place! And I love Dr. Jerome! As a testament to her dedication and care for her patients, two years ago she came in on the Monday of Labor Day weekend to care for me with a very urgent (and eye-threatening) eye emergency. I was astounded when she said, "Meet me at my office in an hour." Now, that's dedication! And she didn't charge an arm and a leg. I don't believe there is anywhere better to get your eyes checked than at Look+See. The optometrists and support staff are fantastic -- good at their jobs, knowledgable, friendly, etc. The store is clean and well designed. I tend to be a pretty critical person, and through the six or seven years I have been going I have never been disappointed with Look+See. Exemplary.

I came here in desperation for contacts, I am from out of town (illinois) and couldn't see because one of my contacts had worn out and my glasses are out of date. I called and they didn't have my contacts I normally use but had another brand of acuvue i could use. I was able to call my eye dr. who faxed over my prescription, I got there and was greeted right away! They gave me a pair of trials in my prescription at no charge!! I was ready to buy them !!! Thank you so much!!!

I've been going here for several years. Dr. Jerome is friendly and personal, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Although the location may look difficult to get to, it is really just 5 minutes off of 394 in rush hour traffic. If you are looking for a new eye doctor I would definitely recommend checking Look and See out.
