I have been getting regular eye exams for 30 years now. My eye exam today was the best experience I’ve ever had in those 30 years with the best doctor ever. She pulled up my retinal images and explained what they look for and explained the different parts of the eye. No one has ever done that before. The equipment was top notch. She didn’t have to sit in front and manually flip back and forth. She even checked my up close vision which is again, something that I’ve never had done. I’m so happy I decided to switch my eye care over to here. I used to go to one of these chain vision places. The eye exam itself usually lasted a couple minutes but the waiting would have you in there an hour. My appointment today was quick, but so thorough.

I’ve been going to see Dr. Johnson for a few years now, and I highly recommend her. Always professional and friendly, with a great staff. She is inside a Target location, which is very convenient. My husband and I have had appointments at varying times of the day and week, and wait/exam times are always reasonable, and definitely shorter than the bigger chain optometrist locations. They of course supply all major brands of contact lenses, and my husband is always able to find glasses from the smallish, yet good quality selection of frames.

I've always have a great experience with Dr. Johnson. She's kind and very passionate about her work, which shows via the amount of care and consideration she gives to her patients. The space itself is also modern and very convenient to get to since it's attached to Target, but with a side door so you don't need to deal with parking near the main entrance. While the inside is much smaller than standalone optometry offices, they have done a great job at the layout with the lab + interior room. Anywho, I recommend this place to folks now after having a less-than-stellar experiences at other Louisville spots. Highly recommended.

Johnson Family Vision provides the best vision care I've experienced thus far. The practice embraces technology—I enjoyed looking at the digital retinal scans, and getting a chance to see a benign anomaly on my right retina (I'm always curious about what's going on in my body!). Dr. Johnson is thorough, knowledgeable, and kind, and takes patients' unique needs and preferences into account. For example, I'm a professional dancer and I travel frequently, and l have only a slight difference in vision from one eye to the other. Dr. Johnson gave me the option of using the same prescription in both eyes, which I really appreciate, since it means I don't have to worry about losing one contact lens and perhaps being far from home with the wrong spare. I feel like the health of my eyes is in great hands.
