This was my first visit to West Valley and a very good experience. The office is neat and clean. Staff were friendly, relaxed and professional. Dr Minnie took the time to speak with me and answer questions. The atmosphere is very comfortable and I was able to order both contacts and glasses.

The staff is always helpful and courteous over the phone or in person. I have never had to wait long to be seen and I am always taken on time for my visits. The visits with the doctors themselves are thorough and you never ever feel rushed. Dr. Escobar is fluent in Spanish (a plus) and she is a gem! She was able to diagnose and catch the cause of my migraines using the technology of one their exam machines (a rare diagnosis)! With treatment, I have been migraine free for months now. So thankful for West Valley Optometry’s care and expertise after all these years.

Found this place because it’s networked with my insurance. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dr Escobar tended to me. She has a friendly, bubbly personality; very professional and knowledgeable. She took her time to review my past medical history and compared notes of that day’s visit and came up with a treatment plan for me; all while explaining everything to me. I felt well taken care of and confident with Dr Escobar’s plan of care. I was also impressed at how detailed and patient she is. We conversed about my care and I never felt rushed or unheard. My wife and I had an excellent experience on our first visit to West Valley Optometry. The staff was exceptionally nice and very professional. COVID protocols were followed closely and the waiting area was not crowded at all. Our optometrist, Dr. Minie, provided a very thorough exam and explained his findings clearly. After being fitted with our new glasses, the doctor came out to verify the measurements. All this indicated to me that this office was dedicated to providing a high level of quality and service. I highly recommend them.

I would appreciate if they were more patient and kind. The sarcastic undertones weren’t necessary. They almost didn’t give me a prescription since I didn’t have a physical copy of my insurance they ALREADY had on file. But, luckily, I found a copy online. Other than that, the person who issued the prescription towards the end was extremely kind. I do appreciate they were able to see me and finally start an order for me …in the end.

The staff, Patricia was great and helpful. They had short staff on the day of my appointment but they were still delivered excellent service. I am glad I found this place for my visions needs.

Stevin Minie, OD and his staff are great. His eye exams are very thorough and he walks you through the findings of his various tests with the images on his computer. My husband and I have gone to this office for years and we’ve always had a pleasant experience. We recently moved about 2 1/2 hours away, but still made the trip back specifically to see Dr. Minie. His staff went above and beyond to make sure we got the most from our eye care insurance and will be shipping our new glasses to us to prevent a second trip to their office. Went in with a crying toddler not able to find a babysitter. Went in early and still took about an hour to be seen. I'm guessing that was the reason the staff being so distant but not an excuse to not explaining things to the adult of what was happening. And was asked by the doctor to reschedule but I wasn't going to wait another month for my daughter to be seen. Plus when it came to my son getting glasses the staff didn't measure or advise just opened a box told him to pick and wait 1-2 moths again speaking to the kid instead of the adult.

I was hesitant to make an appointment due to COVID, but my glasses were literally falling apart and my prescription was outdated. I was pleased with the precautions they were taking to keep everybody safe. It's by appointment only with masks and only one customer/family at a time. Everyone is pre-screened, temperatures are taken, and they have a spray bottle of sanitizer before you enter. New covid restrictions; everything's by appointment to limit contact. I wasn't aware before I stopped by. I wanted to check out the frames, but they were already at capacity. I had my current pair of glasses on me, so I was going to give up and just have them update the lenses (I didn't want to make an appointment and come back since I was already there). Patricia helped me out; she was super nice and went above and beyond. Because I couldn't go into the store, she came outside to get my information to update my lenses. She found out that through my insurance I had a allowance for frames and if I didn't use it, I'd lose it. Upon learning that, she insisted that, if I didn't want to make an appointment, I should look online for frames that I liked and they could possibly order them for me. I also declined that offer (I didn't make things easy for her)... So, she ended up having me wait a bit and squeezed me in between two appointments. I got to take a look at the frames and she, of course, also helped me pick out my new pair. Then, before I left, she made sure to adjust my current frames and give me a new lens cloth. Great experience! I never leave reviews for things, but had to share and shout out Patricia.

Dr Minie is above and beyond just a eye doctor I had a sliver of steel get lodged in my eye ,and it even rusted .He quickly got it out However he said he'd need to use a dremel tool to remove the rust in the white if my eye I told a dremel tool was what I was using when it happened ( I had safety glasses it when I wiped my brow off is when I got the metal in my eye ) He was cool enough to scrape the rust by hand with no dremel tool used .His work ethic is awesome ,and he does NOT have a touch of a black smith .He was stable and gentle on my eye I'll surely be going back to him I only have ever seen another eye doctor That equally as great as Dr Minis But west valley is very close to me ,which makes it very easy for me to keep my appointments In can walk to his shop He is a great eye doctor and I'll surely be going back ,great service he has it all .

The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming abd helpfull getting my insurance info and helping me choose a new frames.
