I highly recommend coming to Eye.Q! The office is professional and the staff are so friendly. The assistant was very patient in helping me pick out my glasses when I had no idea what I wanted. Dr Banzuela and another staff member helped my daughter feel comfortable when she was nervous about getting contacts for the first time. Dr. Yap has also been taking care of my daughter as she’s had more eye concerns/changes in the past year and has different needs for school vs sports. He’s knowledgeable and makes great recommendations for her varied activities. Thank you, Eye.Q!!

I had an eye emergency early evening and didn't want to go to the ER so I waited it out and called Eye Q Optometry in the morning when they opened and they were so great! They let me come in without an appt. I saw Dr. Yap and he was so nice! He was soft spoken and explained everything he was doing so I wouldn't be scared! Definitely will be using them from now on!! Love this place! Great choice of frames too!!

I first discovered Eye Q when they were located in the Eagle Rock Plaza. They were so kind to adjust my glasses without charging me. I later got some lenses installed on frames I purchased on my own. They were kind, courteous, and professional then, and nothing has changed. The new location is top notch. I went in for an eye exam and retinal scan. With everything being more expensive these days, I expected the price for 2 set of lenses in frames I brought into the store would be much more than what I have paid in the past. They are on par with what I’ve always paid and that was a welcomed surprise. Their staff is thorough and respectful. The doctor I worked with today was great. I will make sure to always come back to Eye Q in the future.

I love the new location. Right from the entrance, I was greeted warmly. I was anxious about my eyes and throughout the examination process, I was guided in a friendly, reassuring way. The doctor took time to give me good news about my eyes. Then when I wanted new frames, the young lady helped me in a non obtrusive way. I felt wonderful when I left and know my eyes are well taken care of and I will enjoy my new glasses!! It was a really good experience.

It was a great and wonderful experience. Very professional. Everyone in the office was friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. The Doctor was great and answered all my questions so I understood every aspect of the exam. The office had better equipment for diagnosing issues than my past eye doctor has. I was very pleased with the results and they went out of their way to give me the best deal and worked with my insurance so I felt I was paying a fair price for services and product. I’m glad I chose to come here.

Located in a great spot close to coffee shops and restaurants - parking was easy but that also have a lot in back apparently

I wish I could give them 6 stars. Dr. Yap is patient and thorough, the team is welcoming and warm. I love that the office is spacious, clean and comfortable. The booking process was smooth (literally booked online on a Sunday for a Monday appointment) and they were incredibly patient with me as I switched from glasses to contacts, which made the process a lot less stressful. To top it off, there’s a parking lot in the back and lots of street parking around!

I had a great experience. Staff are so kind and attentive. Paperwork is easy, one front page and done! They have a good selection of glasses, all different price ranges. The doctors are awesome. They explain everything so well. I paid an additional $39 to have the back of my eyes checked (I forgot what it’s called). Anyway, just do it! It’s well worth the $39. It can help detect symptoms to other health concerns, earlier. Huge plus, they have parking in the back. All in all, I was in and out within 40 minutes. Highly recommend.

Scheduling an appointment was easy - you can do it online or by phone. Street parking can be difficult. They have limited parking in the back lot. The facility is clean and it has a wide range of glasses to choose from. The doctor was thorough, she made sure all my questions were answered. I felt comfortable and did not feel rushed at all. I was able to get an appointment within a couple business days. The appointment was super quick and efficient. Everyone was really lovely. They clearly explained the benefits for my insurance and what I could get. I was able to get some nice polarized sunglasses for just $10 through my insurance. So that was an unexpected perk. My new prescription lenses will take two weeks. Not sure if that’s the normal timeline or because they’re moving offices right now. I’m excited to see the new office space!

Been a patient for years now when they where located at the Eagle Rock Mall and i never had a complaint what so ever every staff was at their best professionalism and very kind helpful and understood the treatment for my family. Now they newly relocated I love the environment and the place is much more space in the lobby and the treatment rooms where much more space and too be in the room with my son where he can take his exams.Great environment and the vibe is great. I’ve been going here for almost 8 years and I love Dr. Brian Yap but I had his wife this time, Dr. Maureen Banzuela and I think I like her even more. Eye Q fit me in early because I was having vision issues. Dr. Banzuela was so nice and listened to all my ocular migraine issues. She was super thorough checking everything and inspecting the back of my eye and making sure there were no signs of a dangerous issue. Looks like I need some lens updates, etc and I really appreciate the peace of mind she gave me by showing she was truly checking everything and patiently explaining it all as well. I went from a nervous wreck doom scrolling to feeling quite a bit more hopeful after that! They’re my favorite medical office by far! ♥️♥️

Very safe environment, they limit the number of people allowed into the Drs. Office and ask you to sanitize and they check your temperature. The office was very sanitized and clean. ~Hands down~ BEST DR’s EVER!!! My son and I have been treated by Dr. Yap and Dr Maureen over the past few year. My 16 year old son loves them both especially Dr Yap. They both don’t talk to us like other Drs with long wired words lol or make us feel lost or rushed. They take their time to explain everything in full details and they make sure we understand before leaving. The great part is that both drs go beyond asking us questions just to pin point exactly where our problems are coming from. Dr Yap and Dr Maureen alway gives us that comfort that we are getting the best treatment and service we deserve. E.Y.E Q is super cleaned and organized. The staff is AWESOME as well and super friendly and talkative. I even brought my boyfriend along and switch to EYE Q.

Decided mid morning to finally get in and get my prescription updated and eyes checked. It was important to find somewhere where I could get in and find glasses same day. Dr. Yap was so incredible. I have been with my old optometrist for so long, I was worried about switching, but Dr. Yap was not only easy-going and friendly, but also incredibly professional and knowledgeable. After mentioning that I spend a lot of time in the sun (something I've mentioned to every optometrist I've ever gone to) he immediately changed my prescription to contact lenses that block UV rays (the contact brand I've been wearing for years didn't have UV protection)... not sure how my other optometrists didn't think of that, but so glad Dr. Yap did. Anyway, overall great experience. The girls in the office are great with insurance and took the time to explain all my options etc. and Dr. Yap went above and beyond. Oh, and they got me in for a next day appointment. Go here :)

i think i was their first apt of the day & awesome service right from the start. patricia welcomed me & took my temp. she pre examined me before the dr could see me. then after i literally waited maybe a min for dr. maureen. super sweet & very patient with me. she answered all my questions & was very knowledgeable. after my exam i went back outside & waited for my prescription. while waiting patricia & kevin helped me pick glasses bc i am SO INDECISIVE. lol so i finally chose some cute paradigm frames (: also thank you to dr. yap for my emergency visit last week. my eye feels so much better ! overall great experience ! thank you so much ! 10/10 would recommend ! This review is for Dr. Brian Yap. From the minute I entered the office, he was so friendly and immediately made me feel welcome. I was experiencing eye pain, dryness and multiple vessels in my eyes. What stood out to me about Dr. Brian is his kindness and professionalism. Not once did I feel uneasy or anxious, in fact, he made me feel calm as I was having some anxiety. He took his time doing my eye test, xrays and I just can't thank him enough for being so caring about his patients. I asked him alot of questions im sure but he was very patient and kind and answered them with a smile on his face, and that really stood out to me, he truly puts his patients first.
