I have been going to Dr Richlin’s office for a few years now after my brother referred me there. I have always had a pleasant experience there. The doctors are knowledgeable and the staff is friendly. Today, Susan went above and beyond. On my way to NY at the airport, I realized I forgot my contact lenses. She emailed me my prescription. Tried to get it overnight but it was too costly, so she contacted an eye doctor in NYC to confirm they have my prescription. I was so grateful. I didn’t know what I would have done without contacts on this trip.

I made an appointment for my annual exam in the summertime. Didn’t realize it would conflict with my kids early pick up from school. So I called to see if I could come in earlier. They said sure but could not promise that they could see me before my actual appointment time. I went. They saw me almost immediately. Super friendly. Dr Richlin is great! See you next year.

Dr Steven Richlin is the absolute best. His exams are always very thorough and if you should have a situation where surgery is required, he will recommend the best surgeons. I had a urgent eye situation several years ago. Dr Richlin contacted the surgeon directly, I had an appointment the next day and had surgery the following day. Because of his quick action, my eye sight was saved. I have been a patient for about 25 years and now have family members that are also his patients. I highly recommend him!!

I visited this beautiful office of Richlin Eye Associates for the first time. I liked what I saw very much. The office is located in a great building in Beverly Hills and is very nicely organized. The service was great,the people very helpful and polite, there was no wait time at all. The doctor I saw was Peyton Glass who was a pleasure to see,very knowledgeable, great person and very helpful and efficient. Richlin is the best optometry office I have ever had! (And I mean over decades from Brooklyn to Manhattan to LA) I've been coming here for at least a decade and I have some pretty intricate taste when it comes to fit, aesthetics and vision (mid-range & distance and prism-only for over my contact lenses)! But my most recent visit was ASTONISHING. My first time using Dr Richlin, Sr. as my doctor for a reallllll subtle and seemingly insoluble problem with my prism re: my distance glasses. He (and a team of 3 others!) did exams and analyzed ALL 6 of my good and bad distance glasses AND FOUND THE SUBTLE BUT VERY REAL PROBLEM. RICHLIN GOES THE DISTANCE! (Of course now that I've raved about them it'll probably get harder to get an appointment but...greatness must be shared!)

Amazing! Everyone I encountered were LITERALLY amazing! I was referred by my cousin who gives great recommendations so I followed through. This was my 1st time ever at an eye doctor. I was nervous and quite frankly had avoided ever going because of that BUT everyone that I encountered from the front desk, to the lady, Yesenia, that helped me choose my glasses were GREAT! I have been seeing Dr. Richlin for 19 years. He's dedicated, very straightforward and clear. He cares about his patients. The staff is great & the office is pristine. I will say that this last visit was the best for the glasses side of the office. There was no hard sell which I felt in the past. The optometrist pointed out some drawers for me to browse. While I tried frames on, he was looking around. He brought me 3 frames to try. 2 of the 3 were perfect & it was easy. I couldn’t be happier with this practice.

Dr. Ora is attentive and very accommodating. However there seems to be a very limited understanding of MCAS among pretty much everyone there and had I had a more serious reaction things could have been very serious. Additionally, the staff outside of the one nurse who helped me with Dr. Ora appear quite disorganized. I have had repeated promises of emails of a glasses prescription and now a contacts prescriptionbthat have never arrived. They do have my email address though because I get various spam messages. One nurse or medical assistant came into my room during my appointment. She did not knock. She got annoyed with me for not having my mask all the way on despite the fact that I had been in the room alone and knew nothing about my health. She then proceeded to use something the staff had been warned I was allergic to and I had to run out of the room almost falling given my balance issues. Dr. Ora was very apologetic of course, but as an individual who lives trapped by illness I was quite excited by the prospect of seeing more clearly and that is still out of reach.

Dr. Richlin was exceptional. He was very thorough (and patient) with my 2 kids -- one of whom was complaining of significant vision issues and the other who was dropping rice cakes crumbs in the exam room. He instilled high confidence in me with his various diagnoses and had a great bedside manner with the kids (including going above and beyond to get them cold water and vacuum up their mess). Dr. Lau, as always, was fantastic, as was the office staff. My only negative experience was when one of my lenses were slightly scratched. Dr. Lau said he would do a one-time replacement, which was very kind. However, after leaving the glasses at the office for the replacement, I was called and told they could only pay for half. What I don't know is if Dr. Lau thinks I actually got the replacement he offered, which I did not. They also mixed up prices for glasses I was interested in, of course, for the worse, which felt like a bait and switch.

If you want to have a quick visit, don’t get the imaging done...it does increase the time of your visit. I did it as it was my first time at this new office and I wanted to make sure they had all the information possible on my eyes. I can not sing enough praises about this practice. I'm not usually one to post long reviews but this practice deserves it. I have been to many eye doctors over the years, it's always the same, 1 or 2 ...5 or 6.. well this is the best we can do, followed by rude staff wanting to charge me extra for needing more time. This was not the case at Richlin. To start, evreyone was so friendly and genuine. I barely waited to be called in by Isabella, who treated me like a friend while performing a battery of initial tests and then taking me to see Dr. GLASS. Dr Glass was amazing, she really took the time to get to know me and understand what I was feeling and seeing. She brought in Perla, to work with me on some possible solutions. Perla was so sweet and caring. After that Dr Glass returned and spent more time working on me. I never once felt rushed. As a matter of fact, I ended up spending nearly 3 hours of actively working with staff there. When Perla followed up with me, I learned they spent another 2 hours on the phone with my insurance, pushing them to cover a solution for me. I felt like family, not a patient or client. This is my new home for eye care, and I am telling EVREYONE!

Because my eye case was extremely painful, he came in early to see me before the clinic opened because his schedule was full. Hands down the most complete, technologically impressive eye exam I've had in the last 40 years wearing glasses. Until today, I've been a patient at a Beverly Hills ophthalmology practice which I now realize doesn't compare (in any way whatsoever) to Richlin and Associates. Prior refractions were noticeably rushed (and I mean like 5 minutes) and resulted in inaccurate prescriptions and blurry vision. Dr. Glass was simply amazing. She spent almost an hour running every conceivable test and ultimately refining a new prescription until she was able to generate the best correction possible. It was refreshing to feel like the optometrist actually cared to provide not just a prescription but the best prescription. We ended with Dr. Glass using her digital refractor to compare the prescription I was given 6 weeks ago by the ophthalmologist office and the new prescription she generated. It was the difference between blurry and clear. I can't wait to actually see clearly again....thanks to Dr. Glass. The office runs flawlessly, like a well oiled machine. From impressive Covid compliance to the various techs and office staff. Everybody is super pleasant, seemingly very happy at work and it shows. LESSON LEARNED: I will only see the optometrists at Richlin and Associates for eye health.

Overall it was great. Technology at the office seems to be state-of-the-art (hooray for not getting a puff of air in your eye) and exams are thorough and not rushed. The doctor explained some things about astigmatism and eye dryness no other optometrist had taken the time to lay out for me, and I feel that info will be useful to me in keeping my eyes healthier. Office is also attractive and I didn't wait long to be seen. The cons, which didn't ruin my experience by any means, but just to give a full picture: I felt very pressured by the receptionist to get a $35 upcharge retinal exam. He didn't explain why, he just kept stating that most people get it. I had to refuse three times which felt excessive. The glasses salesperson who helped me was also a little aggressive and followed me around selecting frames for me to try on. Other than that, excellent service and I plan to come back here for future examinations and any other needs that may arise.

Wjen I arrived, my temperature was taken, I was given a new mask to put on, and asked to sanitize my hands ...well before I reached the front desk to check in. I have gone to Dr Richlin for well over a decade now and my sister saw him for a decade before that. There is a good reason why. Dr Richlin is a phenomenal doctor and takes care of each person he sees extremely well. This is no "Read the chart" system. Its a "Lets check each and every detail to get you perfect vision and eyeglasses you actually like". Not all eye doctors are the same. Not by a long shot. Dr Richlin and his entire team (and its a big team) never fail to impress. I skipped him one year due to lack of insurance. When I came in he asked how much Lenscrafters cost. I told him and he says "What a coincidence, that's our "No insurance" rate here as well. Yes, he is Beverly Hills and YEP, he deserves to be. Stellar service and very in depth. He also explains all of it to his patients which in my opinion is a great thing. Long as Dr Richlin is in business, I will go nowhere else. UPDATE: Went in yesterday for exam and prescription sunglasses....ON A SATURDAY!! This time I saw Dr. Steven Richlin's son, Bradley who followed in his father's footsteps and is a Doctor himself. Dr. Bradley has the same priorities as his father, stellar eye health first and foremost but he also has Big Doc Richlin's great commitment to his patients. What got me this time was that it was Saturday and the entire office was open and running. Any Doctor in Beverly Hills, working on a Saturday is a rarity to be sure, but Richlin & Associates was in full swing. If you need a great eye doctor, you just found a winner!! Its really as simple as that!! As long as I live in L.A. this is where I will go. If I move away, I may very well come back annually to see them. There is good, there is great and then there is this team. Try them. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!

I went to the office for my exam because I didn’t pass my DMV vision test - thinking I just needed some cute glasses for driving. Because this office is thorough, Dr. Lau insisted on a full exam, dilated my eyes, used the photo machines and discovered I had a detached retina in my right eye !! Because Dr Lau felt the urgency of my situation he requested his colleague operate on my eye the NEXT DAY! The positives that really stood out to me were: - Digital paperwork (via provided iPad) - Spacious and clean waiting room - Wide variety of frame options - Friendliness and thoroughness of staff I also really appreciated Dr. Richlin’s honest and straightforward approach. I went in complaining about my contact lenses (monthly lenses) and asking about Lasik. He was very clear about setting my expectations for what Lasik would and wouldn’t do. He was also very clear about other contact lenses options (that dailies are likely to be more comfortable but will undoubtedly cost more) and that at the end of the day, I need to what’s best for me. He gave me various samples and I didn’t feel pressured in any way to choose one option over the other... or any of them. Very happy to have found him (via Yelp)!

I was so miserable and the very very sweet Dr. Krasnow saw me and said, “Well, you don’t look so good. I am always looking for ideas to improve our own office. I was impressed from the first step into office to my last step going out. Their office is up to date with all the modern technology an eye doctor needs to take care outstanding care of their patients eyes. Their staff is well trained and efficient. The have an excellent selection in their optical and provide great value. Their doctors offer compassion and caring that I think exceeds what we often see today in busy practices. It is easy to see why this practice has been successful for several decades. They do a wonderful job with their patients.
