She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and detail oriented, doesn’t push unnecessary procedures or items and remembers each member of my family and their particular eye issues. The staff in the office is great, they are nice, well organized and I very rarely have to wait. In addition, appointments are easy to get. There is an area where you can purchase glasses in the office- I recommend using them because they always adjust mine when I go- so it’s a bonus service! I highly recommend Metropolitan Vision!

It's apparent even in routine eye exams how much Dr Leis is motivated by patient care. From being available via text to taking time to thoroughly answer any and all questions, he is very much a healthcare provider first and foremost. Dr. Goldstein is the consummate professional. I’ve been her patient for over 20 years. She probably had just gotten out of school when we met. The care she takes in keeping my eyes in great shape is great. Lately I’ve been suffering with glaucoma because of my diabetes. She had to put me on meds because of high pressure in my eyes. The first meds had several side effects and she immediately took me off. Since that time the current meds are working my eye pressure is back down to normal while months ago they were as high as 25. Dr. Arthur Jung is the BEST optometric physician my wife and I have ever had! He is kind, patient, and clear in explaining things. Most important, he is extremely alert to signs of trouble. For example, he noticed a miniscule spot of bleeding on my retina -- just in time before it could cause serious damage -- and referred me immediately for the needed treatment. We actually look forward to our appointments with Dr. Jung, and always feel confident afterward that our eyes are being very well looked after!

They made space for me right away, told me I had scratched the cornea, and then showed me an enlarged photo of the actual scratch, before taking the pain away. Dr. Arthur Jung is AMAZING!! I highly recommend him. I I came to him for second opinion and I hope I can have him as my eye doctor for the rest of my life. My vision has been pretty stable, around -5.00. Two years ago I went to Costco for eye exam and the doctor told me my prescription was -7.00. I was so shocked that my vision deteriorated that much within few years. I got dizziness and headache with the new glasses and the crazy part was that because the new glasses were so strong, I couldn’t even see things close. The doctor at Costco refused to lower my prescription and told me to start wearing reading glasses (I was only 30 for God’s sake) . I felt devastated and decided to seek second opinion. I am so lucky to have Dr. Jung!! He checked my eyes, fitted my contact lenses and guess what, my vision was really just around -5.00. He put the patient’s comfort first and reassured me it’s ok to get a slightly lower prescription. I want to share my story because now I realize that I don't have to suffer from strong prescriptions. If I stick with the doctor in Costco, I would end up with -7.00 vision, and reading glasses. With Dr. Jung's care, I see everything crystal clear with -5.00 contact lenses 2 years later. Besides, Dr. Jung has great bedside manner. He is so patient to answer all the questions and I never feel rushed. He has great knowledge and the way he talks to patients is really art.

Dr. Goldstein is thorough, careful, and kind. She was able to diagnose my slight astigmatism after having other optometrists dismiss my complaints over the years. She's also able to augment info from my allergist by looking at my eyes helping me better understand my allergies. In a world of retail optometrists, I'm glad to find a real expert medical practice. My friend frequently raves about Dr. Behan also in this office. They do however have some 'creative' billing practices by billing both vision and medical insurance. Expect to pay extra. I also suspect some of their thoroughness is more to increase their billing than for a medical reason (e.g. imaging and the dilated exam serve roughly the same purpose).

I learned today the 20/20/20 exercise. Every 20 minutes look 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce eye strain from staring at a computer screen. Dr. Jung is among the few doctors that I have come across that really cares about the well being of his patients and eye care. He takes his time to discuss what the annual check up is about why it is important and goes through the total health of your eyes. Most eye doctors in my past typically give you a script for either glasses or contacts and sell you on product. I personally welcome the thorough check that Dr. Jung gives. Well worth the time, I highly recommend him. For all the reviewers that complain about co-pay, learn about you insurance coverage before yapping. Although the offices at NY Metrovision are a little cramped, both in the waiting area and an exam area, the staff are superb; friendly and professional. I see Dr. Jung here and appreciated his attention and time spent with me during my exam, discussing my past eyewear experiences and ensuring I was comfortable, informed and happy. Unfortunately, some of the equipment shared by multiple doctors is in a shared exam room, where patients are both waiting and being tested alongside other patients. Personally I found this to be a little awkward and uncomfortable, but I do understand the need to share among doctors expensive equipment that is used less frequently and it may have been a busy day while I was there. Regular exams take place in a private room with the doctor, as is expected. All in all, I'll be returning next week for my annual check-up and I'm looking forward to it.
