Dr. Nedelcu is our Optometry, and he is the most professional and best Optometry. He treats you with a lot of respect and advises you to take care of your eyes. Alyssa and her staff are very compassionate and acknowledged in their office work. If you are looking for a place that takes care of your eyes, West End Eye Care LLC is the place to go. West end eye care messaged me to come in for a regular check-up which is supposed to be completely covered by my insurance. During the appointment I mentioned that I was seeing flashes in my left eye, so the doctor did an exam. The doctor did not tell me he would be billing this exam differently. Because of this I ended up having to pay $165 out of pocket for this "routine once a year exam" that was supposed to be free. If you go here for a routine check up, don't tell them you're having any vision issues or else they will charge you for a separate non-check-up exam without telling you. Not to mention the doctor told me I had a hole in my retina but when I went to the specialist he sent me to (which cost over $300 by the way) there was no hole to begin with. Edit: Once they saw my review they called me back today and now understand that I need a refund. We are good now.

Just stepping into the professional environment and your greeted by the receptionist,with her State Of The ART Wireless communications system! You know they have a efficiency systems in place .The comfortable non-waiting room is spacious and your seated long enough before your whisp away on the next leg of your eye care journey. They clean All Equipment in your presence and that's a Major Plus!When the technician finish your series of tests she sets you up for the Doctor who completely explains your test results and discuss a plan of care.and answers all questions. They have a on site glasses and eye contact section and I can't Express enough the staff's ability and knowledge goes above and beyond! I always leave my appt feeling well taken care of. I love that I had to call when I got there to be let in. Once I got there I had to sanitize my hands and had my temperature taken. The chairs were apart also. When I was in the exam room everything was sprayed and wiped down, from the chairs to the equipments being used. I felt safe there and the staff was great. I had an amazing experience at my eye appointment today at West End Eye Care. I felt incredibly safe thanks to all of the COVID precautions (screening questions, waiting the in the car until it was time for my appointment, temperature screening, all staff and patrons wearing their masks correctly, sanitizing of equipment and seating) and all of their staff were kind and helpful. This was the most pleasant eye appointment (glasses and contacts) that I've ever had. Wanda, the Optometric Technician, took the time to explain what each machine would do during the various pre-checkup testing, which made me feel comfortable because I knew what to expect, and Dr. Nedelcu answered all of my questions during the actual check-up. I could not recommend West End Eye Care more highly :)

But they just proved to me that it's so much more - and they're great at what they do. I recently made an appointment for my mother, who just moved from FL to CT to live with me, for a routine eye exam. The fantastic staff at West End - and Dr. Nedelcu in particular - discovered Mom was suffering from critically high blood pressure. A major medical problem - sometimes called a silent killer. She's never before suffered from high blood pressure - and she was in need of immediate medical intervention to get things under control. We might not have known if not for West End! They are way more than just a routine medical group - they truly care about their patients' health and well-being and they always go the extra mile.

We have new insurance so I took this opportunity to look for a new eye doctor last week. We had been going to Target Optical which was OK but not personal or close to home. I texted my neighbor my selection criteria and she replied, "I went to Dr. Janelle at West End Eye Care. They were exceptional." I called last Wednesday and was able to make an early morning appt for today which was what I needed, the earlier the better because I could tell that I needed a new, stronger Rx. Although I was there for a couple of hours - filling out paperwork as a new patient, getting my eyes checked for contacts AND glasses, and looking for new frames - I have NEVER had a more thorough eye exam and I've been wearing glasses since the 2nd grade. Everyone was so nice from the receptionist who welcomed me at the front desk to Wanda who checked my eyes with "glasses on" to Dr. Nedelcu who was very knowledgeable and gave me sample daily contacts to try, to Crystal who helped narrow down frame choices based on my Rx, to the ladies who checked me out and joked that if I stayed a few minutes longer I could have lunch with them! It was a great experience and I'm so glad my neighbor told me about this practice that is within walking distance from home AND next door to my favorite pizza place, South Whitney! Who knew?! Winning all around!
