This was my second visit to Dr Kemp's office. I had been looking for an eye doctor since my previous Dr had retired. My experience with him was excellent. He took his time and explained everything clearly. I had testing done because I have type2 diabetes and all the testing was done efficiently and in a short amount of time. I'm very happy with him and very glad I have a new eye doctor. His staff are all very friendly and helpful.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kemp since he first joined the practice when it was called New England Eyecare. Dr. Kemp is an outstanding eye doctor and I have a great deal of trust in him. He is warm, kind and courteous as a person and, as a doctor, he is professional and thorough. Dr. Kemp always takes the time to explain his findings. He always asks if I have any questions and, if I do, he spends as much time as needed to answer them and educate me. The staff at Kemp Eyecare are wonderful, too: The front desk manager (who always remembers my name no matter how long it's been!), the eye wear technician who literally has spent hours with me while I tried to choose a frame, and all of the other individuals that have worked there over the years. My children have been seeing Dr. Kemp since their first eye exam - for my oldest it was probably over 20 years ago. I have referred many friends to Dr. Kemp and they have been grateful to have found an eye doctor like him. I highly recommend this eye care practice and, especially, Dr. Kemp.

I had an excellent visit with Dr Kemp and his staff. I was greeted with a smile promptly and felt very comfortable being there. Dr. Kemp explained everything thoroughly and allowed me to ask him questions if I had any. He also explained things I didn’t know about from a previous eye doctor visit and gave me more info and clarity on the issue. The facility is very clean and organized. Dr. Kemp became my new eye doctor on the first day. It was a great visit and I’m glad I am a patient of theirs now. I would refer everyone that I can think of that needs to see an eye doctor. Dr. Kemp is your guy!!

My experience was fabulous soup to nuts! Traffic getting there that day was heavy, so I called and Amy, at the front desk assured me that they would make it work! Great news since I was driving 40 minutes to get there (I live in the country). I walk in and Tim, who was on his way to help a customer with glasses, welcomed me. Mark and a technician he was training brought me into a room and assessed me with common tests and instruments. So far so good! Then Dr. Kemp came in to finish up the appt. Very professional and knowledgeable and with a healthy sense of humor to boot! Gave me the complete run down as to what he recommended now, what I could expect later on and why. On to the dreaded process of picking out frames, right?! Nope! Most pleasant experience ever! Jen was spot on, friendly and with a healthy sense of humor as well. I highly recommend Kemp Eye Care to all! Exceptional service with smiles all around... even behind the masks;)

I've been a patient of Dr. Kemp's for over 10 years, since the practice was called New England Eye Care. I've had nothing but great experiences with all the staff. I moved a few towns away but have no intention of finding a new eye care team. They are all professional, warm and knowledgeable in their particular area of work. Dr. Kemp always greets you with a warm smile and a firm handshake. After the exam he asks if you have questions and is thorough in his explanations. When it comes to picking out new glasses, Tim is very helpful. He is always happy to fix my glasses when they start to slide down my nose or the ear pieces need to be tightened. I would definitely recommend Kemp Eyecare.

The customer service feels genuine from the receptionist down to being helped with picking out your glasses. Dr Kemp is great as well. His practice overall has a very welcoming atmosphere.

This is the best place to go for eye care. Dr. Kemp is the nicest man and he does such a good job explaining things m, like the tests they run or about how the eye works and changes. He makes you feel like you are part of his family because he genuinely cares about the health of your eyes and treats you like a person, not a number. I am confident that my eyes are very healthy and well taken care of at this practice. Everyone who works there is really friendly and welcoming. They also have great selections of glasses and different options for contacts too! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

When I first moved to CT, 21 years ago, is when I became a patient of Dr. Kemp. I jokingly say, but am very serious, when he retires is when I will find a new doctor. I stay with Dr. Kemp because he is the type of doctor that explains exerything to you and gives you the one-on-one attention that you'd expect to receive from your doctor. He has an amazing staff, always friendly and willing to work with you. As far as wait times, you may wait 5 minutes before you are taken back to the exam room. My entire family has been going to Dr. Kemp for several years. We’ve always received excellent service and care. Dr. Kemp is definitely one of a kind. That being said…. I have to tell this story. A few years back, our insurance had changed and at the time…Dr. Kemp’s office wasn’t accepting that type of insurance. We made the decision to go to another eye doctor that was accepting our insurance. Big, big mistake. We received mediocre service, a horrible selection of eyewear and a general feeling that this well-known Doctor’s office did not care. They just had a revolving door of patients and I was just one of many. I dealt with this awful service for 3 years. When my husband called and found out that Dr. Kemp did in fact accept our insurance, I was so relieved. My first appointment back was like coming home. And guess what? Dr. Kemp recognized me. Sure, I’m one of many patients, but Dr. Kemp takes the time to talk to his patients and you leave his office feeling like you are a friend. Not to mention, he's an excellent doctor and his selection of glasses and contact lenses is top notch! If you are in need of quality eye care, I highly recommend Kemp Eyecare. Environment was clean, organized. All of the staff are respectful, approachable, and helpful. Dr. Kemp is knowlegeable, explains things well, and approachable as well. Tim, the person on the floor who helps you with your glasses, was great as well and in fact adjusted the glasses that I was wearing that day as they keep slipping down my nose. They are open late on Thursdays and open during Saturdays also, which is great if you commute far from work, you can actually make it back in time for an appt.
