Dr. Benefield and his staff are the BEST when it comes to providing eye care and surgery. They took extra time to educate me on all of my options, made me feel at ease during the entire procedure and Dr. Benefield (not his staff) took time to me at home afterwards to make sure I was doing ok. Dr. Benefield performed cataract surgery on my husband, and due to his unique eye anatomy, two surgeries and special equipment were required. They worked around our dialysis schedule and my husband being confined to a wheelchair. Being able to finally see has greatly increased his quality of life, and we appreciate all they have done to make that happen.

Before finding this place online, I was searching for eye doctors for a while. I came across the good reviews and noticed this clinic is only 15 mins away from my home. During my visit, the entire staff was friendly and made sure I was well taken care of. Jeanne was amazing and very outgoing, I love her personality. Dr. Walker is SO SWEET and made me feel comfortable during the exam considering I hadn’t been to the eye doctor in years, so I was a bit nervous. Christina (not sure if I got her name right) in optical was also amazing! She helped me find the right pair of frames to fit my needs. I recommend this office to anyone in the area (or outside of the area because it’s definitely worth the drive). Thanks guys ❤️

Overbooking causes long wait times which isn’t fair to the patient. My time is valuable too! Also, notice on door states masks are recommended, yet only one staff member was observed wearing a mask. I wore mine. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this clinic.

Dr Benefield and staff Nikki Scott, Mary and others in the surgery center and clinic were professional and kind. My husbands cataract surgery experience couldn’t have been better. His vision has improved 100% and the evening of surgery Dr Benefield called our home to personally check in on my husbands status. That’s going above and beyond and was a pleasant surprise. I recommend anyone looking for excellent care and expert service to call Dr Benefield for your eye needs.

Where do I start? Dr. Walker is hands down the best Dr. in any field I have ever encountered! I have four kids that see her and now have two in contacts. Both of which needed a significant amount of time to learn how to put them in. The patients Dr. Walker showed was amazing! The staff and facilities are always perfect!

I recently had cataract surgery on my right eye and three weeks later on my left eye. I was amazed at the difference and my vision has improved greatly. Dr. Benefield and his staff have been very professional and caring. His nurse called to check on me a couple hours after my surgeries and he called me the night of my surgeries to check on me. Would definitely highly recommend them to anyone.

my wife went to Dr. Benefield and he was good and checked her eyes and said she needed to get some tests done. during the coding process and the right code needed from the hospital everything worked out for the both of us. Dr Benefield contacted us and explained everything about the process and the tests needed and kept us well informed. He has taken his time and called us after hours and show great concern in his patients. We are going back in a week and will always go back when called and anyone that needs a eye doctor he is the one to call upon. Thank you Doctor Benefield for everything you have done and thank your staff for there help and explaining the code for the insurance

This is an excellent dr I had to have several surgical procedures done to both my eyes, him and his staff all are so friendly never felt any pain from the surgery I'm so thankfull for him I got my vision back to 20/15 it's like so great!!!!! MY RIGHT EYE WAS REALLY GIVING ME A LOT OF VISUAL AND PERCEPETUAL ISSUES. I SAW GORGEOUS MULTI-COLORED RINGS AROUND EACH LIGHT, EVEN THE 2 LIGHTS ON THE SAME VEHICLE, OFTEN DOUBLING WHAT I SAW. I COULD NOT READ THE TAG ON A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, MUCH LESS EVEN SEE WHERE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. USING A COMPUTER WITHOUT PATCHING MY RIGHT EYE WAS USELESS AND VERY COMPLICATED TO DETERMINE WHAT I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING AT IF A NUMBER, ETC. SWIMMING IN THE DEEP WATER OF THE RIVER OF DENIAL, I WENT TO SEE DR. BENEFILED. VERY PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND DR. BENEFIELD WAS VERY THROUGH IN HIS EXAMINIATION AND DISCUSSION. I HAD THE CATARACT IOL PROCEDURE WITH CORNEAL CORRECTION OF MY ASTIGMATISM. THE PROCESS WAS SO PRECISE AND WORKED LIKE A VERY CLOSE KNIT, PROFESSIONAL TEAM AT THEIR BEST. THE CRNA GAVE SOME SEDATION, I BARELY RECALL DR. BENEFIELD SAYING SOMETHING TO ME AND IT WAS OVER. TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITHIN SECONDS OF WAKING UP I COULD ALREADY SEE A TREMENDOUS IMPROVEMENT IN MY VISION. IT WAS AS IF I HAD SUPER LED QUALITY VISION, I HAVE BEEN A NURSE FOR 40 YEARS AND ONCE WORKED IN AN OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER WITH A NOW RETIRED OPTHAMALOGIST, PERFORMING WHAT WAS THEN THE STATE-OF-THE-ART CATARACT IOL PROCEDURE. THIS HAS BEEN WELL REFINED OVER THE YEARS. DR. BENEFIELD AND HIS EXPERT TEAM ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER!. THE CLNIC WAS IMMACULATE, VERY PATIENT FRIENDLY, SAFE AND EASY TO ENTER. I HIGHLY RECOMMENT DR. DON BENEFIELD AND HIS EXPERT TEAM FOR EYE CARE. COMPASSION IS A LEADING QUALITY, AS WELL AS KEEPING EVERYONE INFORMED AND EVERYTHING CLEAN/STERILE AS POSSIBLE. AT SOME POINT I WILL NEED MY LEFT CATARACT SURGICALLLY CORRECTED AND I WILL MOST DEFINITELY RETURN TO DR. BENEFIELD FOR MONITORING AND SCHEDULING AS NEEDED. I RECOMMEND DR. DON BENEFIELD AND HIS STAFF ON DEDEAUX ROAD, GULFPORT, MS. AS THE NUMBER ONE PROVIDER OF EXCELLENT OPTHAMOLOGY HEALTH CARE.
