This place is top 10! I accidentally sat on my glasses and broke them. I didn’t have a back up pair. I drove here on my lunch break with my fingers crossed. I was greeted and helped by Lexi…she was wonderfully helpful, kind, and cheerful. Best news is the new frames and lenses I got were ready in a few hours! BEST. SERVICE. EVER! Since I have been here, I’ve been telling everyone I know this is the place to go!

I have had nothing but great experiences with EyeGlass World in Grand Rapids, MI. I’ve purchased glasses from them for many years & the service is wonderful, the products good, and the pricing very reasonable. This year my non-related ophthalmology company had errors in the prescriptions. Alex Cowles at EyeGlass World worked with me to identify the problem & replaced two pair of glasses at no charge even though the error was not theirs. I highly recommend this company!!

What a great experience! The assistance and very much appreciated suggestions offered by Pleas made this such a pleasure. I was finished in less than 40 minutes and picked up my two new pairs of glasses in 3 hours. Every staff member was helpful, patient and friendly. Best most professional eyeglass place I've been to. Connie and Margie did an awesome job on my glasses. I needed them ASAP and they made it happen even though I needed special lens material because of the type of glasses I brought in. I came in on a Monday and they ordered the material and they had my glasses ready in a couple days. They even polished the sides of the lenses even though they didn't have to but looks very nice A+++

Huge props for Lizzie, who went way above and beyond to get my good friend from Kiev, Ukraine a pair of emergency contact lenses. Lizzie went back to check the trial contacts at least 3, possibly 4 times and even went through trial contacts that hadn’t been put away yet to find the perfect prescription. She was so kind and polite through it all. Thank you Lizzie!!!

I was amazed at the awesome service the moment I stepped in the store All the employees were polite, helpful and understanding my needs I ordered 2 pair of glasses one for wearing all the time and a pair of sunglasses. My order was ready in less then a week. When I went to pick them up both pairs fit perfectly and no adjustments needed so it was an in and out visit. I also Love all the complementing serves they offer after your purchase. I will definitely be using EyeGlass World again and I will definitely be revering their services to family and friends. My son and I have been going here for years, when I finally talked my husband into going too. Initially it was great, even though he didn't get them same day (the lab was broke down) because it was out of their control we had no issue. He bought the insurance luckily because he broke his glasses just a week or two after he bought them. We took them in to be fixed and he decided to add bifocals, we were told they had to order the lenses and they would call when they arrived (nearly a month after being told about a week) on more than one occasion, we were told to give them a couple of hours to install the lenses on his frames. We brought them in to the store at 3:45 and were told to give them about an hour or and hour and a half to get them done. We stopped back in at 5:30 and then were told that they wouldn't be done because we need to leave them over night, after driving and hour to get there. We were told several different stories on why his lenses weren't in yet and told 2 different stories about how long it would take to get them installed. I doubt we will be back.

I have been going to eyeglass world for many years. This time was the best! The man that took care of me was so nice and personable. I have to say he was the best salesperson I have had in a long time! His suggestions were great, he explained in detail which would be better as far as using my insurance versus using their deal and saving me money! As the commercial on t.v. says: Who dies that? Everyone there were very helpful and nice. I would recommend them to everyone! Thank you Eye Glass World!

Took my glasses to the Grandville store to have them fixed but was told the frame would break if they tried to fix it so they offered to sell me new frames instead. Called a competitor and on my way to see them I decided to stop by this location, and sure enough they got my frames fixed no issue by Aaron. I'm a tradesman myself and I can appreciate the experience I saw him utilize to fix my specs. Thank you, Aaron!

The BEST experience I've had at an eye doctor/shop ever. Very quick service and exam, customer service was exceptional, they worked with me as much as possible with pricing, large selection of frames, and it was overall a very easy and friendly experience. Will definitely be coming here in the future!

This was the first time I could get glasses in a day. I stopped down the road at a competitor and they couldn't help me. I called here and talked to Tony. He said they could fulfill my order the same day. He was right. They carried polycarbonate lenses in stock. I was able to pick out 2 pair of frames and they had my order done that afternoon. When Tony realized there was a problem with my prescription (from my doctor), they fixed them the next day and mailed them to me for free. He was very nice and accommodating. Tony even remembered to change out the nose pads for me due to my allergies. I will definitely be back next year if I need new glasses.

Awesome experience. I was immediately greeted at the door and helped immediately. My paperwork was brief and the appointment was pretty quick and painless. I was being fitted for contacts if which I have not wore in a long time. After a day I had problems with one eye so I stopped back and the problem was addressed immediately. The contacts are extremely comfortable and I can see just as good with them as my glasses. I also got a couple pair of glasses that are pretty dope but my contacts are working out so good they might not ever be worn. The staff wAs patient and the guy that checked me out and did the final measurements had me cracking up. Great job eyeglass world

My Husband bought glasses from Pleas couple weeks ago and was very pleased. Pleas took the time and knowledge of products offered. I went to 28th location because of Pleas. Once again Pleas happily helped out. I had insurance that helped out my final price. Alex greeted me and explained the process of putting frames in a container to be cleaned. Alex was also very kind. I would definitely shop here again!

This was my second time getting glasses here and I know why. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I mostly dealt with Liz and Josh. They gave me their honest opinions on which glasses looked or didn’t look good. I appreciated their input as I was there alone. Their selection is great because they have frames for every budget. Bonus is that they’re open on Sundays!

My daughter urgently needed a replacement pair of glasses after her last pair broke. We learned that Eyeglass World did same day glasses, which was an absolute life saver as we are leaving on vacation in a few days. The staff at Eyeglass World was so kind and thoughtful to my daughter. Even though we came in close to closing time, the staff was very upbeat and happy to serve. They ensured the glasses fit and were ready to be worn. We will be back - but hopefully not for awhile 8-)

I would recommend this particular location for multiple reasons. The atmosphere is light, fun and enjoyable! Each member of the team deserves more recognition than they receive at times. The Opticians; each and every one of them are great! They truly know what they are doing. If something isn't working for you, they will do what they can to get it right! William, Aaron, Liz, and Maria will help you pick out glasses, answer all of your questions and make you laugh at the same time! The Doc and OD Techs; Doc is smart and knowledgeable! If you are looking for a doctor who is easy to talk to and enjoys his sports, this is your guy! Erica and Zainab, they will get you ready to see Doc as quickly as possible! They are VERY knowledgeable in your vision insurance needs and questions! Do not hesitate to give them a call and see if they accept your vision insurance! The Lab; Connie and Margie, they will do what they can to get you your glasses the same day! Eyeglass World is known for their in house lab. However, at times machines don't want to work OR the labs schedule may be packed! Be nice to these girls, afterall they are the reason you will receive your new glasses the same day! Some things the lab cannot do in house, but if you have an outside prescription, call and ask if it's something they can do same day or next! The Managers; the leaders of EGW are patient and fun to work with! If you ever have any questions or concerns, call them! Ask for Pleas, Tony or Alex! They will be happy to assist you! If you are in need of a repair, stop in! Some things they can't do, but they will direct you in the right direction! If you are in need of Cartier repairs, they can't touch them! Eyeglass World also offers 2 for 1 pricing! You can get glasses for as low as $78. This is $78 Frames, Single Vision, Plastic Lenses NO extras! Extras will cost a little extra! That's why they are called extras! 😊 Always recommend that Anti-Reflective coating! Again, if you are looking for a new Optometry Office and team, look no further! The team will take great care of you! I can promise you that!

I got my exam and purchased 2 pairs of contacts and a years supply of monthly contacts. The glasses were special order but came faster than I expected. Unfortunately I was given the wrong contacts, I was expecting to have to argue with the staff to get the right ones but they quickly confirmed I had been given the wrong ones and made sure I got the right ones right away. Very happy with the staff and their great customer service. I recommend eyeglass world for glasses and contacts.

Overall happy with my eye exam and we’ll see how my new glasses turn out. Really nice to be able to get this done on Sunday,just wish that they would open a Lakeshore location.

Every step of the process was great here. I lost my glasses while on vacation and was recommended eyeglass world because they have a lab on site. I also then realized my prescription was outdated by one month. From being greeted at the front desk, getting an immediate appointment (not always a guarantee), a good selection of frames to an overall great value, I was completely satisfied with the people service and price.

My experience this past Summer was FANTASTIC from being greeted at the door to the Sales Associate to Management! I brought my own frames in and they created new lenses and re-lensed my frames, no questions asked nor was I pressured to buy new frames. I was skeptical about coming here until I saw the 3-5 star reviews from other customers. I pay no attention to those who give bad reviews leaving 1 or 2 stars. Especially when they have less than 20 reviews.

I had a glasses-related emergency when the pup I'm dog-sitting ate mine. I spent a week lamenting about price and style and finally made it into the store on a Monday on my lunch break. Brandon helped me immediately and even pulled the frames I ultimately decided on after twenty minutes of trying on basically every pair in the store. He helped me figure out the best value with my insurance coverage and made the whole experience delightful. I ended up getting a 90-day supply of contacts and these fabulous frames, and I walked OUT THE DOOR with them by the end of my lunch break. That SAME DAY. I was prepared to wait at least a week, and it was such a nice surprise to be able to go back to work with my vision back to 100. Thanks, Brandon (and whoever cut my lenses so quickly and efficiently!) I am telling all my friends where to go from now on.

Well, I was thrilled that I could get lenses the same day. My prescription had changed enough that I really needed that. However, I was really shocked when I picked them up that there was no fitting of the frames to my head, just "here you go" and that's that. I have never had that happen before. What was certainly going to be a 5 star rating is a 3 because I will need to go find a place to fit my frames now. Very odd. EDIT: went back and get them fitted properly. went smooth, so i raised it to 4 stars

I'm nearly 30 and I've been going to this location since I was 19 and just this last time when I purchased glasses was the product poor. Customer service hasn't changed since I've been here and they treated my wife great when she went in for glasses. I'm going back AGAIN to get my frames re wired for the lenses. I've lost how many times I've had to return to get this done, but they always fix it and are nice.

While they were all nice to me, they made me feel weird about getting glasses. I have had them before and lost them. Prescription wasn’t crazy, but it is hard to focus while driving and reading. So I was told to get glasses. I don’t know. I just now feel stupid, even though the glasses I had before help a lot.

Thank You Josh!! I came in to purchase a box of contacts and ended up listening and learning. I came to understand I have a stigmatism, what it is, how it affects my eye, what my current contacts are/aren't doing to correct it. How my reading glasses, you know the $ store kind, don't have the right curvature. So that's why I always feel a little sea sick when I am wearing them!!!! I've been a customer for over 4 years. I've gotten really good service from them. The docs are great and you can't beat their prices for contact exams. I've never purchased glasses, but for contacts, you can not beat their prices.

I have been ordering same-prescription contacts from this Eyeglass World for four years now and can't believe how badly I was treated the last time I was in there. After being persuaded into purchasing a three month supply of their house brand contacts (whatever they are) and losing all but ONE of them in two weeks, I decided to just go back and order my usual brand (one of them even went rogue and dissapeared into the back of my eyeball, gross). Okay fine, I got talked into buying a crappy product and that was that. I didn't even come in looking for a refund or discount or anything, for the ONE remaining contact lense I was able to keep from falling out all the time. All I wanted was to order another three month supply of my usual name brand and chalk it up to bad product. AFTER they happily took my money for ordering my normal brand, I wanted to buy a box of whatever they had in my prescription to get me by in the interim. Pretty reasonable, right? The lady at the counter said that while I had A) been a documented customer of theirs for years and B) just ordered a new three month supply 5 MINUTES AGO, she wouldn't sell me a spare box because my eye exam was overdue by a couple of days. Instead of doing what any one else EVER would do and scheduling me for another eye appointment before selling me the requested lenses (have you ever tried making it through the day with only one contact? My head hurt pretty bad already), or even taking one look at my record and seeing that my PRESCRIPTION HAS NEVER CHANGED in four years anyway, she refused to sell me a box of contacts to hold me over until my new ones arrived. That doesn't make any sense. Instead of trying to work with me and come up with a solution (all this after I'd paid for and had an eye exam when I ordered crappy-house-brands but "nothing came up" on my record) or even properly explaining whatever bass-ackwards policy forbade her from selling me a box of contacts without aparantly several up-to-date eye exams, she just told me that she couldn't help me, and even refused to tell me her manager's name when I went to yell at someone else. That's just bad business. Save yourself a headache and go anywhere else, Eyeglass World has crappy products, and even worse customer service.
