Thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Ward. He is very pleasant and took his time answering all my questions about eye care for someone in the end of "middle age". The staff up front was also extremely pleasant and patient as I have very specific taste in frames. They didn't have what I wanted on-hand but new right where to look and we found one in their catalog. The ordered frame with lenses came in just over week and were exactly what i wanted.

The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. The doctor explained everything and was very thorough. The only thing is, I felt that their prices were a little bit steep. I have excellent insurance and my estimate for lenses and glasses was still expensive and didn't have quite the selection of eyewear. But I would recommend Valley Eye Clinic for an excellent exam.

So thankful for Dr. Ward. He is hands-down the most COMPETENT, caring, personable, and intelligent eye doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing (no pun intended). His quick thinking, experience and extraordinary skill as a clinician helped identify and diagnose me with a degenerative corneal disease for which I am now being appropriately treated. He was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable in explaining my diagnosis, answering all of my questions, and recommending the next courses of action with my treatment and what it would entail in such a reassuring and calming manner. He will go great lengths to help you and out and make sure that you are always receive the treatment you need. His staff is always so warm and friendly, and such a delight to interact with. I would very highly recommend Dr. Ward to anyone needing any sort of eye care, whether it be a routine eye exam or something that requires a little bit more attention. He is top notch!

I've been going to Valley Eye Clinic for years and years for all my appointments, glasses, contacts, etc. They are all so knowledgeable and so nice. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm looking forward to meeting Dr. Ward. I'm sure he a wonderful addition. I even brought my BFF Lisa to get her glasses there. I wear contact lenses and no changes!!! Great checkup with Dr. Ward. Best place since I started going here in the 90s. Valley Eye Clinic was the best choice I made in looking for a new eye doctor. I specifically met with Matthew Ward. He along with all the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The use of advanced imaging technology to see inside the eye, as well as their large selection of eye glasses and sun glasses to try on in the store really left a great first impression. The day of my visit I was able to purchase new frames & lenses, which was really convenient - I didn't have to go to a different store! I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new eye doctor.

The lobby is calm and relaxing and all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Simple, painless, and thorough are the words I would use to describe my exam today. Lots of opportunities to ask questions and everything was explained so that I could understand. I'm so used to exams from lenscrafters or target optical. Where their only concern is the prescription. It's nice being able to go somewhere where they care about the overall health of the eye and the patient. I did enjoy seeing pictures of the doctor's families in the exam room. That was a really sweet touch.

Great eye exam with amazing attention to detail and are sincerely concerned and focused on the health of your eyes. Also A nice kce selection of eye glasses. They are considerate and provide a relaxed environment. You never feel rushed and they walk through the process step by step and make sure to include you insurance to give you an inclusive solution on cost. If you don't need it they don't force or try and convinced you that you need anything more for hardware. Excellent service!

Dr. Kyler was very friendly and thorough. While he did find that one of my eyes had a slight astigmatism, upon further questioning he decided that while glasses or contacts may be right for some, he did not recommend them for my personal situation. My consultation was informative and they really wanted me to find the best glasses for me. This wasn’t a get some that look fine and get out. Dr. Swanger has been taking care of my eyes for over 30 years. Believe me if I didn't feel he was an excellent doctor I would not have stayed as one of his patients that long! Dr. Kyler and his team are the absolute best! I had moved to West Des Moines a few years ago, and was nervous to find a new eye doctor, but so happy I found Valley Eye Clinic. I have been going for regular check-ups, but recently had an incident in which I cut my eye (corneal abrasion), and at every single appointment Stephanie, Taylor, Olivia, Pauli, and Isaac made me feel cared for and calm, even though I originally didn't go in feeling calm. Dr. Kyler also took the time to explain everything that was happening, and I walked away feeling more knowledgeable. This is the dream team!

I didn’t even realize my current glasses were under a 2 year warranty but they looked it up & then offered to get the scratched lens replaced at no charge to me. Good people.

Only 3 stars, because it's been almost two MONTHS and I am still waiting for my glasses. Even after paying in full; almost $500. Usually mine take at most 3 weeks to make. Not sure what the issue is, and the response I get when I call is just: "We'll call you when they come in." Not satisfied at all, sorry.
