We have been going to Advanced Eye Care for years. Would not go to anyone else. The staff is more than helpful with everything from picking the right frames to all the insurance paperwork. Really friendly staff, clean office with amazing/close parking. I was seen right at my appointment time and they were very friendly to my 2 kids I had to bring along... While I would never usually bring my 7 and 8yr old to an appt, they answered their questions and showed them everything they were doing to mommies eyes. :) I appreciated it so very much. Circling back to the staff... not only were they friendly, they were amazing. Conveniently located for me in Urbandale but they are just a mile off of the interstate and easy to get to for anyone in or around Des Moines.

We discovered Advanced Eye Care Center in Urbandale, IA when we noticed our daughter squinting a lot. 5 years later, 3 of my children and I all see Dr Wendy. She is fantastic with children and adults alike, and her staff is incredible. Always patient, and always extremely friendly. We have no desire to go anywhere else!

They are absolutely AMAZING! From beginning to end the staff is knowledgeable,friendly, and helpful! The facility is high tech from what I'm used to. My husband, son, and I got all of our eyes checked. Bree put me through the tests as well took a photo of the inside of my eyes and Dr Wheeler went through my chart and took a couple of more tests since I told her I have watery eyes to show me that I actually had dry eyes. She suggested that I do a treatment. It was weird and cool to do. Then someone (geez forgot her name but she was Awesome too) helped me pick out glasses and sized my eyes up. So go here you will not be dissapointed!

Everyone is helpful and friendly, Dr. Wilson has eased my transition from single vision to bifocals and worked to get me fitted with contacts that would work for me with my new eye reality. My first visit since Covid restrictions have been put in place went extremely well. I felt very comfortable with the protections in use for the protection of patients and employees. All the people here are really nice, walk you through every step, and explain the results of the tests.They actually looked up my insurance info ahead of time and had it all ready to go. I don't have optical insurance but they informed me that my health plan includes a yearly exam. I walked in expecting to pay the full price out of pocket and ended up only paying my copay!

The new Lipiflow procedure has helped my dryness and allowed me to start wearing my contact lenses longer! Before the Lipiflow, my contacts would dry out after a few hours, but since I’ve been able to wear them all day comfortably. Very easy procedure and actually very soothing. I would recommend the Lipiflow to anyone suffering with eye fatigue or dryness! I’m glad Dr. Wilson has it at her office now.

These guys have been giving me help with glasses I got years ago, been thru some hard times and couldn't afford new ones. This group of people in this business replaced my nose pieces I can't tell you how many times and tightened them up and adjusted them for me at no cost. I recommend these guys to all my residents too.

I had a great experience here this morning! I bought my glasses from one of the big mall-based chain stores, and they're very good about selling you glasses. However, recently the frame separated from the lenses on one side of the pair I use most often. It looked to me like all that was needed was to replace a small plastic connector. I took the glasses back to the chain store and a salesman took about ten seconds to tell me there's no way they could be repaired. I pointed out that it looked like a simple repair and he still sent me away. The next day I looked for a store closer to my home and found Advanced Eye Care. I took the glasses in and they fixed them in about 15 minutes! They will have my business the next time I need new glasses or repairs.

Great caring , knowledgeble and professional service! HIGHLY Recommend. My only issue is not with Advanced Eye care. My angst is with the pharmacutical companies. Dr. Wilson -after careful examination and knowledge of my condition perscribed Restasis. I gave the perscription to my pharmacy. The gave me the perscription with an $1800 bill!! I don't need to tell you I do not have Restasis and the pharmacy still has it and will have it forever. My point is there has to be investigations and laws made to reduce drug charges!!

Dr. Wilson is one of my favorite health care providers. She is knowledgeable and thorough, and I appreciate the time she has taken to get to know me and my family over the years. Her staff is also knowledgeable and very helpful.
