Our kiddo has an intense prescription for glasses and it has been a pretty constant struggle over the years to find an optical shop that can create effective glasses for him. We were referred to Sports Optical by our kiddos' Opthamologist at Children's Hospital for prescription swim goggles. They were incredible to work with, making sure that he got the correction he needed to participate with his swim team. Then when we had an issue with one of the goggle lenses falling out in the pool, they remade and ground the lenses for us no questions asked. Everyone we have worked with in the shop has been incredible, friendly and thoroughly committed to helping us make sure that our kiddo is getting the best vision correction he can. Incredible customer service across the board. They also have the most amazing selection of frames! We will definitely be going to them for all of our glasses needs from now on.

I originally purchased a set of prescription sunglass and clear lenses for shooting with a single set of Oakley frames. They worked great, and if I hadn’t gotten LASIK surgery, I’d still be using them. That was about 8 years ago, and after getting LASIK in 2021, I ordered new lenses (non- prescription polarized sunglass and clear lenses) for my wife and I. We went with the tactical rx Little John frames for both sets of lenses. The frames feel lighter than my Oakley frames, and the arms are thinner, making it more comfortable when wearing over the ear hearing protection. Hoping these are the last set we’ll need (assuming my eyes can keep up).

The optics are remarkable. I use them for tennis and cycling, transition lenses, so one pair for multiple uses. Somehow i mismeasured the IP distance which through off the focus but they made a new pair of lenses after I got an accurate IP measurement at my optician.

Had learned of Sports Optical during the height of the pandemic...finally made it into the Denver store Summer 2022, and have since order 4 pairs of prescription glasses - including one WileyX frame and their proprietary Mt. Falcon frame for RX sunglasses, RX sport shooting glasses also in the Mt. Falcon frame, and a replacement clear RX lens for an older pair of Oakley frames I owned - probably my best eyeglass buying experience ever - am very pleased with every pair...!

I bought 2 pairs of prescription safety glasses for shooting. They were able to do what others can’t. So now I have my strong rx looking like a badass in wraparound safety glasses. So many choices. With the help and opinions of 2 office personnel I choose a frame, one of two. During this process, they held the frames so I could consult with family. I am extremely happy with the lenses. New prescription. The nose pads were irritating. After 2 attempts to fix, the nose pads wee replaced with softer pads. Very helpful, concerned service by both persons (which I could remember their names). I HIGHLY recommend Sports Optical for their knowledge, service and final product. As I needed prescription glasses but have no ears to hang regular eyeglass frames on (and needed goggle-type frames with an elastic band to go round my head), Sports Optical were the only place here in Denver that could help me. Emily and the owner went out of their way to help me find the right frame, get it fitted to my earless head, and special order the prescription lenses (bifocal, antiglare, and transition/polarizing) to fit the frame.

100% yes!!’l highly recommend anyone that wants custom Rx glasses , especially in Oakley, they made the lense that fitted inside my RADAR EV frame. Literally edge to edge scope of clarity I can see peripherals clearly, just such a sick concept, it blows oakley their prescription model out of the water, the whole bubble look is gross the way OAKLEY does it, this company made the whole lense seamless for ur prescription. 2000% happy, Davis is an excellent rep that took down my info he initially said my Prescription was almost Not doable but he checked with a second opinion and made it all happen , that’s how you get it done Davis, great job.

I have an issue with my eyes where I cannot close my left eye properly enough to see down the sites to shoot. I contacted these fine folks and told them my issue. After a few minutes of describing the problem, we came up with a pair of frames that would block almost all of the light on the left eye with a blacked-out lens and foam behind the frame. I took them to the range and it's like magic how I can now see down the site and don't have to contend with a patch or some kind of flip-blocker on my regular glasses. This has been a dream come true. Thank you!

This is my second visit to Sports Optical and I've been extremely impressed. The first visit was for a pair of prescription shooting glasses that, after more than 2 years, are still going strong. So many other places just offered prescription lenses that would sit OVER the shooting glasses and that looked and worked terribly. Sports Optical actually made me a pair of true safety glasses with my prescription on curved lenses and they still work great. My most recent visit was also for prescription lenses but this time they were for some very high dollar unique frames that everyone else said couldn't be fitted with prescription lenses. Andrew and the team at Sports Optical took a look and immediately said they could do it. The results are perfect and I couldn't be more satisfied. In retrospect, I probably should have just come straight to them instead of wasting so much time trying to get other opticians and labs to get this done but I won't make that mistake again. These guys are the best especially when it comes to custom and specialized prescription lenses.

I am an eighty year-old whose last cataract surgery did not work as well as the first. The first was a miracle on my close up vision, but the second left distance items blurry. I hike in the mountains and was given last year a pair of transitional lens sport glasses that I love. I heard recently that you could get prescription plastic lenses and I found Sports Optical on-line. I went about a month ago, ordered new lenses for my glasses, received them in less time than they estimated and can now read street signs before reaching the intersection and a mountain goat that I would never have been able to see. Called to ask questions and place my order for prescription safety glasses for hunting (brown tinted transition lens). Sales person was very polite and knowledgeable about the numerous lens options, durability and differences between similar options. Advised on similarities and differences with type of lens and lens coatings. Delivery time was a bit long (estimated 3 weeks but took longer due to wrong color lens produced). Very pleased with fit/quality of frame and clarity of prescription transition lens with anti-glare and scratch resistance. Right eye prescription is stronger and lens edge that seats into frame was thicker which required some thickness reduction. The thinned lens area is wider than what seats into the frame so a lens line is visible along the frame. Received a 20% military discount.

My Sports Optical Sunglasses for real saved my life... I've been a customer for years and own five pairs of glasses/ sunglasses from Sports Optical/TacticalRx ... Anyhow I was driving home through the mountains on 285 [12/20/2020] and I encountered the worst whiteout conditions in my entire life.
