I had a great experience. Dr. Lachenman, Christian, and the rest of the staff really took the time to help me better understand vision, and what options I had with my insurance. (I've never worn glasses before..) What a beautiful old Victorian building/office!

I cannot recommend this team enough! I have had some really bad experiences with eye doctors before and have only had amazing experiences at both Eyes of the World locations. They don't give you the puff of air in the eyes, you can opt out of dilation, and they never keep you waiting. Staff and doctors are friendly, patient, and walk you through everything so you feel comfortable and understand your care. I have told everyone I know to go to them - you won't regret it :)

I've been wearing glasses almost my entire life, so I've had my fair share of optometrist appointments, offices, buying eyeglasses, the whole deal. Let me tell you, I adore Eyes Of The World in City Park. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Not only is it in this gorgeous peaceful Victorian (for you architecture nerds like myself) — but their team of doctors and staff are super kind, friendly, and professional. Eye exams are always great and a positive experience. Also, it's the first office I've been to where they actually put extra care in how your glasses fit, with knowledge about the materials, frame shapes, sizes, and therefore know how they'll wear esp. in the longterm. Their recommendations are also pretty spot on (thanks, Aubrie!). It's the reason why I'm no longer buying frames online and instead buying directly through Eyes Of The World. They have a broad selection for any budget, with a variety of styles with something for everyone — so there's no reason not to! I very much recommend Eyes Of The World for all your eye-care needs!

Been going to Eyes of the World - City Park for a few years now. Brian, the manager, runs a tight ship and will take care of you; turned my wife and I into loyal clients. Over the years, I have seen a few different Optometrists here, however they are all excellent in administering my eye exams and explaining things to me. One time I was in urgent need of an optometrist and they found what was I seeing within my eyesight was related to stress... talk about an eye opening experience! (pun intended) Finally, the selection of frames is top notch, none of that cheap budget optical junk. If you wear glasses daily, you deserve great looking frames and they are here and waiting. Brandwise: Ditas are back! however I settled on some Tom Fords this go around (Thank you Jesse for landing me the right pair). Barton Perreira is another nice brand they carry. A few years back, I had an issue with my old Dita frames, Eyes of the World repaired them, no fuss.

This location on 17th is in an old Victorian and beautifully set up and organized. The staff are nice enough (Brian is the manager and runs around to other locations but if you are lucky enough to see him, he is the BEST!) Dr. Lachenman is awesome and knows her stuff. The young staff do a fine job but just don't book an appointment at 9am when they ask you to be there 15 minutes early as they are just opening up and are a little rude and grumpy. I would recommend this location to anyone living in the area.

Fantastic! I have always hated going to the eye doctor, more than most people hate going to the dentist, mainly because I didn't feel listened to and also because I always have a terrible reaction to eye dilation (unable to see at all afterward, 2-3 days for it to dissipate and always causing a migraine, every single time). Well, for starters, Eyes of the World has a retinal scan machine to replace dilation - it was just a slightly higher copay with my vision insurance to do it this way. Such a relief. And then both the staff and the doctor were kind and listened well to the issues I've had with specific types of glasses prescriptions in the past. So happy I listened to my coworker and went here!

Visited this office after having issues with target optical and misplaced frames, and this was a breath of fresh air. Very calm environment and the staff was friendly. While there was a mishap with my order, they were quick to resolve it and I will be returning next year for my yearly exam. They specialize in special, unique frames that may not be affordable to all, which is something to note.

Everything was great until it came time to pick frames. The guy told me to come back another time to do that. I was under the impression they’ll want to sell while I was there but instead I was ushered out of the building. The doctor was great & all other staff was super nice. The only issue was the frames guy. I’ll prob skip him next time & just go elsewhere to get my frames.

I have been going to Eyes of the World yearly for at least 5 years now and my recent appointment made me realize I needed to write a review. They have always been kind, communicative, and professional. I used to use the fast, cheap “mall” businesses and always got what I’d pay for. Inexperience cost me time and money in quality, comfort and service. Eyes of the World has proven to me they deserve my business through their experience and service. My new lenses came back from the lab with a scratch and once I brought them back in, they ordered new lenses-no issues. Other places I’ve used in the past would have given me so much trouble. Although it seems this mistake could have been caught before I received my glasses, all anyone can hope for is a business willing to fix the problem and have great customer service. Thanks for always making me feel like my business is appreciated!

Roman Chavez delivered top-tier help for fashion and affordability. SOLUTION-ORIENTED STAFF. Everyone there was friendly. They hear you and have ANSWERS. I spent $100 less on contacts and glasses here, than I would've spent on only glasses elsewhere. VERY happy with their connection to SuperiorVision vision insurance. It helped me ball on a budget. Roman quickly understood my need and expertly rang me up. Contacts and glasses arrived promptly, and I got notified plenty of ways.

I really had a great experience with Eyes of the World. I hadn't had an eye exam for over 10 years, and they made the process easy and seamless. Initially when I talked with the staff, they booked me at the wrong location, but were able to fix it and get me in at my same time. The optometrist I saw was very helpful, and gave me options regarding what glasses I could purchase in order to save me some money. The optician was extremely helpful, and patient while I tried on different frames. Overall I'd rate Eyes of the World a solid 5/5 and would recommend anyone go there.

When I first went to get a pair of frames or pick them out rather, they were so nice and they made me feel comfortable.the glasses were ready about a week early and they called me and told me I could get them early. I don't have enough room here to say all the things I want to say about them,accept they are wonderful people. ❤❤❤

I just received my first glasses from another practice and it didn't fit very well. I had it readjusted, however, I feel like the adjuster couldn't find my right fit and it ended up making the glasses uncomfortable for me as well as making the both of us frustrated. My co workers had suggested that I walk-in at this location to get my glasses readjusted since this is where they go and assured me that its a great location. It was difficult for me to find the correct entrance door, but I was able to find my way in. It had a very homey feel, and as soon as I walked in, I was greeted. I think his name was Rome who had helped readjust my glasses without making me feel like I was a bother. As soon as he took a look, he could already tell that my glasses didn't sit well vs my other optician that had a hard time finding my fit. Rome went over the top to attend to my needs AND wants. I loved the atmosphere here and hope to be an actual customer soon :) I guess the only downside is limited and small parking so the most convenient way would be to walk there.

I absolutely love Eyes of the World! I'm one of those terrible people who had not had an eye exam in far longer than I should admit and as time started to nip at my heels I started with a Google search. Fantastic uptown location (and a heavy nod to the Grateful Dead) had convinced me enough to book an appointment last year. Right before the exam began I got a massive ocular migraine, the staff were so understanding and did everything they could to get the appointment done correctly and in the most pain free way. The service was great from start to finish. It was a no brainier to continue with this practice. My appointment this year was again spot on, COVID protocols taken very seriously, great staff (Aubrie (?) In the glasses is amazing, helped me get some great frames and made it WORK for my budget with something I love).

I normally hate getting new glasses, but I'm really happy I went to this place. The exam process was easy and quick. I was helped by Brian, and he sorted out everything with my insurance so the process was smooth and problem-free. They have a good selection of frames, so I was able to find some I'm happy with. Leaving a glowing review for Kathryn Lachenman, OD. She has a great bedside manor, and I thoroughly appreciate the way that she explains what she is doing and what will be involved in a procedure. She let me know when she would have to touch my eye and how. When I needed to have a numbing solution with dye dropped into my eye she explained what it was, and what it was for, and remembered to caution me about the numbness of my eye when I went to reinsert my contacts later. Throughout the examination, she was very thorough and thoughtful and answered any questions I had (she also showed me imaging of my eye, which I thought was cool). As an aside, I have been over-wearing my daily contacts (and hearing stories of how "bad for me" that was) for as long as I've been wearing contacts, so I've sort of tuned it out as scare tactics used by optometrists to sell more contacts. Kathryn was able to listen to my concerns and skepticism and explain to me the actual concerns and effects and, as a result of that interaction, I now feel I can make a more informed decision and have decided to wear my contacts as directed (after switching to more cost-effective monthlies). I think most of the other staff is probably OK, but certainly not amazing. I was definitely skeptical that I'd made the right choice when I first arrived and was very abruptly and without explanation asked to give up my ID and insurance card before having a tablet thrust in my face (literally, I hadn't even taken off my coat and she just stood there holding it in front of my face and scrolling through everything, which made me feel like I couldn't even take my time to read it or just chill for a second). To my surprise, the tablet-holder then took me back for some tests and I silently pondered the nicest way to ask her if she was my optometrist, since at no point was I given her name or credentials. TLDR: First part of my experience was off-putting but my appointment with Kathryn was reassuring and worthwhile.

I stopped in because both of my nose pieces fell off & they were digging into my skin. This was the closest place to me & I walked right in. I was immediately greater by a lovely lady & Heith took care of me immediately. He got me out & seeing again in less than 5 minutes. Great business, beautiful location! Thanks you!

The free glasses cleaner they give out when you buy glasses has a GIANT lint-free cloth. There is no going back to small little cloths that slip out of your fingers so you smudge your glasses all up. Go here for the free glasses cleaner kit.

The best part of this experience was that they offer retinal imaging in place of the usual pupil dilation (they offer both), and the great thing about that is that it was quick and nothing had to touch my eye. No dilation meant that I was able to continue with my day as normal.
