Everything has changed!!! Dr. Bardash has left to retire and move to Costa Rica; I learned on next door. Everybody there is new and nothing like the old staff. I received a business card with Dr Bardash crossed out on it and the new person’s name written in. He failed to send my referral for cataract surgery to clinic after a week. When I called to find out why I hadn’t been called for an appointment front desk very rude. They have not changed any information on the website to notify clients of the changes. Very bad experience. I just stopped into Dr. Spex because I had carelessly slept on my glasses and bent my nose piece. I was feeling guilty and stupid. They were so wonderful. Happily fixed the bent piece and replaced my nose pads free of charge. Not only free but done with absolute joy. Always a great experience to stop in. My favorite optical store.

I started going to Doctor Spex when I moved to the East side of Denver four years ago. I moved to Lakewood (West side) recently but will continue to make the trek across town to go to Dr. Spex. This is THE BEST eye care provider I have ever been to, and there isn’t a close second. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming, personable, and knowledgeable. It is obvious they invest in the most cutting edge technology to make the experience as comfortable as possible for their clients. For example, they can take a retinal image instead of dilating your eyes. Anyone who has ever been dilated knows how inconvenient and uncomfortable that can be - and now I never have to deal with it! Their prices are very competitive, and turn times fast. A big shout out to the entire Dr Spex staff - you all are AWESOME. Keep up the good work!

Loved the actual eye doctors, nice and helpful people. I don’t like that their contact prices are noticeably higher than other retailers. The person who finalizes the glasses and contacts also likes to over charge you when you are unsure about all the add ons. My advice is to do your research on the lenses you want/need before coming here. That way you get what you need and do not have to spend extra money.

I’ve been to Dr. Spex’s for about two years now. The front office ladies are always amazing and incredibly helpful, specially Stephanie. She always has a tremendous attitude and disposition, not to mention she’s great with kids and my children LOVE her. I was seen by Dr. Wong today and she was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I always love coming to this place, whether it’s for contacts or to get new glasses. They go out of their way to please you and help you - like when I run out of contact lenses and I’m due for my yearly checkup but my appointment is a week or so away and they give me free trials until then. They don’t have to do that but they do. They glasses selection is great too, good for all budgets. I’m glad I found this place.

The care was great. The doctors listened and addressed my needs perfectly. I had received a prescription from a priori doctor that did not allow me to we wear my contacts and read at the same time. Dr. Bar dash was able to recommend contacts that work much better, allowing me to use my fitness watch and cell phone without reading glasses! Two thumbs up!

I highly recommend Dr Spex to anyone needing an eye doctor. This place is out of my way but I still choose to come here as I think the staff are amazing. Stephanie is always so welcoming and positive and Dr. B is very personable and professional with his services. In the past when I had a bad eye infection he made sure I was taken care of when my insurance fell short. He has always made sure I have the best fit for my contacts and glasses. If you need your eyes checked, do yourself a favor and make your appointment here. I saw Dr. Won and she was friendly, engaging, and thorough. The staff is outstanding. I've never been to an office where every single person is genuinely friendly and great at what they do. I had a great experience here. Oh, and the pricing of their frames is spot on. I didn't have to drive all over looking for a better deal. "Eye" can't imagine going anywhere else.

They have a policy that if you’re more than 10 minutes late, they will cancel your appointment but they do not tell you this when you schedule your appointment OR when they confirm it. I was 11 minutes late and called twice when I was on my way to keep them updated and explain I have adhd/forgot it snowed and didn’t factor in enough time to wipe my car off. The front desk lady almost turned me away for missing the grace period by ONE MINUTE! Most places have a 15 minute grace period and will even advise to come a certain amount of time early to fill out forms or whatever. The person I scheduled with over the phone and the automated reminders had absolutely no mention of this policy. If I wasn’t a courteous person and didn’t think to call ahead I would have driven 20 minutes just to be turned away for missing the grace period by one minute. The front desk woman was not kind about it and definitely needs sensitivity training in understanding disabilities like adhd and autism. If they are strict about enforcing this policy they should definitely be up front about it when scheduling and confirming the appointment because I thought I was doing the right thing by calling ahead when I realized I would be late, but based on the attitude of the lady at the front desk, you would think I killed someone. I couldn’t believe how unwilling to budge she was over one minute and the disgust she spoke to me with was jarring. Everyone else was extremely kind and understanding though and they got me in and out efficiently. I just hope I never have to deal with that woman at the front desk again.

The care and service I received here was probably one of the best I have had for eye care! I came at the very end of their day and was the last appointment to be received. Usually at the end of a shift people are tired or you feel like they are in a hurry to get you out but not at Dr. Spex! Everyone was super friendly and genuinely kind. Eye exams in general can feel rushed or like you aren't doing the exam fast enough choosing between which fame is clearer or worse. Dr. Won was friendly and encouraging during each frame we went through. I never once felt like I was making the wrong decision on which frame was clearer, or feeling like I was second guessing myself. I appreciate that the team gave me time to pick out glasses an give genuine feedback on what worked great for my facial features. Genia was fantastic and helped me feel comfortable trying new frame styles. It's the friendliness of this office that makes me want to come back again.

I have had some profound changes to my eyes as I have progressed into my 40's making finding a workable contact lens prescription a bit of a nightmare. The process was extended due to Covid and Dr Bardash stayed the course, trying over 5 different brands/types until he found the best option for me. I am very grateful! Dr. John Bardash has phenomenal bed side manner. I came to him for a second opinion after receiving a bad prescription from another eye doctor. Not only did he confirm the original Rx was bad, but he reassured me that if I had any issues with my new one from him to come back and he would re-review the Rx for free. Dr. Won and her staff were incredibly accommodating. First, they worked me in as a very last minute addition. Secondly, Dr. Won spent so much time working with me to ensure that I had the lens that I needed to deliver the clarity and crispness that I was looking for. Medical people make the worst patients - I know this - and for that I truly appreciate just how much effort she gave to make sure all of my concerns, questions, and "well, what about this" random thoughts/ideas were addressed. I would recommend Dr. Spex Vision Care to anyone (and have--I've recommended it to my fiance and to many of my colleagues dissatisfied with their current vision provider). The staff there is very professional, friendly, and seems very knowledgeable. The Dr. Bardash is fantastic and very accommodating, and getting an appointment there is pretty easy with the fact that they are open on Saturday. I don't think I've ever enjoyed any visit to any doctor as much as I have to Dr. Spex. I wish every doctor was as knowledgeable, friendly and pleasant to see as the doctor of this practice is!

From the moment i walked in and was warmly greeted by Stephanie, I knew this eye doctors’ office was different than all other offices i have been to in the past. The doctors technician was friendly, patient, and very competent, and listened! what? i wasnt rushed and was treated as if i was the only patient that needed care. Next i saw Dr. Puzzo. He listened to my concerns, asked great questions, did a very thorough I exam on me. He suggested a new contact lens brand to try for a week. On my follow up visit, he reexamined my eyes and made a small adjustment to my prescription. Dr Puzzo corrected my vision so well, I'm seeing better than i have, ever! I have low vision and felt overwhelmed with joy when he told me the level of sight he was able to give me. And, to top off my fantastic experience, their pricing was affordable and my glasses and contacts arrived very quickly. If you have special vision needs or are just looking for a great eye doctor, i encourage to look no farther and book an appt.

So many good things to say, so I'll just list them: appointment was quick, no puff test, option to *not* have eyes dilated during appointment, large selection of frames, very helpful and friendly staff, great prices. The two associates who work up front are especially fun to work with (who ever thought one of these appointments could be fun?); one picked out a set of frames for me I would never have considered and the moment I put them on, I knew they were the ones. Dr. Bardash is so easy to communicate with and he takes time to explain test/imaging results in terms that are easy to comprehend.

Dr. Bardash was also fantastic in providing an extensive exam and creating a treatment plan for a chronic head ache issue I've dealt with for years. He was kind, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable during the exam. He spent time in educating me about the various contact options and about my new diagnoses. For my first eye exam and pair of glasses, the eye exam was thorough and Dr. Bardash took excellent care of me. Recently coming to his new practice, I would say that the amount and quality of frames has increased greatly, as well as the customer service. The staff at Dr. Spex are friendly, and knowledgeable. I had a few issues with my insurance, and Victoria at the front desk helped make sure I was taken care of. Dr. Bardash was very informative, he explained the results of my eye exam to me in a way that I understood, and then helped me make the best decision in choosing a pair of glasses. My brother recommended I see Dr. Bardash and I'm glad I did. It was a great experience from the minute I walked in the door until I left. I am a bit of a geek and like seeing pix inside the body. He showed me pictures of my retina and compared it to a damaged retina. It was a great education and fun for me. He was really easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable with him and I didn't feel like he was condescending to me, like other Dr's are. We even joked around a bit. The woman at the front desk was great too. She explained a new technique for looking at the retina and it was very interesting. The woman that was fitting me for my new glasses checked her work to make sure my glasses would be delivered to me correctly the first time. Also, Dr. Bardash likes me better than my brother so that's always a bonus! You should go see him. He's great.

I received excellent care from both of these doctors. I needed custom fit scleral contacts which are very expensive. These doctors made sure they put in documentation so that my insurance would cover them as medically necessary. I'd seen a well respected cornea specialist in town where the office could have cared less whether my insurance covered or if I was taken care of physically. In my search, I came across Dr Spex Vision and decided to give them a try. The care that I received from the Doctors and Staff was outstanding. The staff and doctors are all intelligent and caring. I definitely trust these guys with my eyes. I've had other medical issues that have occurred with my eyes that they were able to care for and went out of their way to check on me and be available for. I definitely recommend them. These guys gave me my life back with the scleral contacts. I can now drive at night with no issues!

This is now the second experience at this eye doctor that I haven’t enjoyed. I really wish I didn’t have to write this, but it should be known. I should mentions that it is not the eye doctor that should be blamed, but unfortunately the staff that assist in the process have not been efficient at the job and also not very professional. I spent 30 minutes of them trying to get the right image of my eyes instead of being asked to forego the machinery and just dilate my eyes with drops. It was clarified when I addressed with Doctor that it was the machine, but there was never apologies exchanged for the inconvenience. I also had a staff in a previous visit very impatient that my peripherals were not registering (it’s my vision like if there’s a problem, it should be known). I will not be returning.

This is a great office. You can tell that Dr. Bardash is well informed, cares about his patients, and doesn't keep you waiting. His staff is friendly as well. To check your retina's health, they give you a choice between a quick photo or doing it the old fashioned way with dilation - go with the photo. It's worth it. Fantastic place! We had been going to a place we weren’t happy with for far too many years, hoping that somehow it would get better, but it didn’t, so we went shopping for a new optometrist, which I hate doing. I hate shopping for anything new, it’s always such a pain and you take a gamble that it’s going to be even worse, you know? So, I will admit, I was skeptical at first, because there wasn’t an online appointment form to speak of or anything, and when I called, nobody answered the phone and I had to leave a message for somebody to call me back. Honestly, I figured that was the end of that, but it’s close to the house, (walking distance if it wasn’t literally freezing outside) so I left a message and kept looking through the other optical choices on my insurance website. Poked around online and procrastinated a bit, (whatever, you know you do it, too) got distracted, looked at frames, plated some online games on my phone and then lo and behold, probably an hour or so later I got a return phone call! I was on the phone with a client at the time, so it went to voicemail and I promptly forgot about it. The next day I listened to the message (after my melodramatic brother called and left three voicemails that I had to listen to the first five seconds of that reminded me I had a voicemail from the doctor’s office). Immediately I had to play the message for my daughter, because the voice on the message was the kindest, bubbliest, most enthusiastically friendly sounding voice that I’ve ever heard in my life. It seemed unreal. I was compelled to call back. I had to see if the person that left that message was really as kind as they sounded. (Spoiler alert: the answer is yes) From the people you speak to in the phone and at the front desk (like Annie, the enthusiastically sweet voice on the phone, who was just as lovely in person) to Annalise, the optometric technician who was thoroughly adorable and put both my daughter and I at ease. Then there was Dr. Won, who was kind, personable and very thorough in both of our exams (she even had a lengthy discussion with my preteen over the merits and wisdom of Disney’s seeming determination to remake every one of their animated blockbusters into a live-action film... and who might be cast in future roles). Not to be outdone, Genia who helped us with our frames and insurance questions, was very knowledgeable and also personable and friendly. Both she and Dr. Won stayed late helping us with our glasses and chatting like we were all old friends at a wine club. She helped us find the best frames for both of us, made sure they were a good fit and that the options we wanted were available and when one of the options I really wanted simply wasn’t being manufactured anymore, she went out of her way to find an alternative for me that IS still being manufactured and is very similar to the option I was pining after. All in all, we spent about an hour longer in the office than I had planned to, but it was honestly the best care we’ve ever received from start to finish and we left feeling like we had found our new optometric home. We both give this place and the fantastic people within an enthusiastic four thumbs up! Highly recommend you check it out yourself.

I needed to find an Optometrist fast after breaking my glasses at work, and Dr. Spex Vision Care, to my surprise, was just around the corner from where I live (I had been looking for one closer to work down in Centennial for day trips if needed). Well, nevermind that - these folks were on point, with a great selection, and the exam was fast and friendly. My new glasses are on the way, and should be here soon, and it was just all around a great experience. If I had to comment on one thing, when I rolled in there, it smelled a bit like an air handler or the duct work needed cleaning or something, had that sort of dank old-building scent. Easy to ignore, but curious none the less.

Doctors here are great but trying to work with the front desk is extremely painful. When requesting information from previous exams, my three experiences over the last 4 years have been this: "we'll email it over in a couple minutes", i'll wait a few hours and not receive anything. Then i'll call back and get the same response. Really like the doctors but yeah front desk is killing the whole experience for me and it hasn't improved over the years. **As an update the staff has been very helpful to get all the information I need over to me since my initial review and I have have updated my rating.
