It was really good. I feel like my eyes got a though exam. Everyone was so kind, the office was very clean. It looks like a spa almost! I love that the office is open to new doctor shadowing. As for appointments, the front office is very quick at answering the phones despite being busy. Everyone has a smiling face and is committed to helping you find the right fit for you. Absolutely coming here for as long as I'm in south carolina!!!

The positive energy from the moment I walked in until I left was amazing! You could tell that everyone loved being there and were anxious to get you checked in and to the exam room. This was the best experience I could have asked for. My grandson needed a vision exam for glasses and failed to get a good reading at another provider. Was told he needed to see a specialist but the wait fpr an appt. was a year. Vision Therapy to the rescue! Dr. Martin took a different approach and was able to get him a prescription and glasses ordered. She was very patient and kind. I am so thankful for her and the staff at Vision Therapy. Highly recommend!!!

Great practice! My sister has always had nothing but good things to say so when it came to my daughter needing her eyes checked I called them. I'm from our of town and drove an hour and 15 min. I'll happily drive every time. They are 100% worth it

Natalie Hawkins is not my doctor but always greets me with a smile when she see me, and asks about my family. She is funny, understanding, and one of the reasons I keep going back. Always good to be treated like family and not another face at work or just a patient.

Dr. Katie Davis was an excellent referral from Dr. Jeffrey Gross who is wonderful and is my retina specialist. She and her office and all other staff doctors/ assistants, etc are totally professional and I appreciated the time they took to work with me. I feel they know what they are doing. I also purchased new glasses from them and feel they did a great job. The entire staff is quite competent and I certainly would go there again and suggest you give them a try if you need assistance. We moved here from Atlanta almost 7 years ago and it took a while to find people this professional in the Columbia area after being a patient at Emory for many years, it was not easy. I think they were a wise choice.

This is a different company since they relocated!!!! The front desk admins are SOOO nice..they recognize you as soon as you enter..even if they are with another customer. The person that took me back immediately was so kind and thorough..then the doctor came in and he wasn’t rushing me and was very kind …thanks to him I realized that I don’t need to purchase stronger contacts for one of my eyes. That saved me money.. I really recommend this place!!

I found out about them after looking for a new place after my bad experience with my child else were and lemme tell you hands down the best eye doc ever! They were so sweet and they made it so comfortable my child actually stayed calm and happy during the whole appointment! Dr. Davis and all the staff were so patient, kind and understanding with my kids. When we came in I expressed some concerns I had about my son’s vision and trouble still identifying certain colors (he is 6). Dr. Davis listened to me, validated my concerns and tested him. I really appreciate how she took the time to address the issues and left it to me to explain to him his diagnosis. We will be going to Vision Therapy Institute for all of our future eye appointments.

We called and they got him in a few hours later! Katie is the best! This place was suggested to me by Walmart, and I've been using them for the last 4 years. They take my insurance (cigna) they explain everything the staff is professional and I definitely would refer people to them. I guess the prices r reasonable, as I have no way to compare. Dr. Katie Davis, is the dedicated and brilliant Neuro Opthamologist who runs Vision Therapy Institute. I was close to giving up, but this team cares - they are warm and caring. They encouraged me, celebrating every success with me. I credit them with saving my life; because everything starts with being able to see. I was one of the most serious patients at Vision Therapy. I had multiple eye problems from a car accident years ago. A recent fall caused all these problems to surface to a critical level. My eyesight was blurred and my prior Opthamologist failed to diagnose Occular Rosacea. Dr. Katie Davis diagnosed and has treated with 100% success, the painful rosacea in my eyes which had gone undiagnosed for 15 years. I’d lost my depth perception, had no peripheral vision and my eyes and brain were receiving different information. Dr. Davis and her team of trained specialists, trained my eye muscles to work with my brain again. I can see clearly now with very little correction! A miracle for me!! I recommend them with highest confidence.

All three of my children are patients here and we absolutely love them. We travel over an hour and a half just to go to this office. My oldest has special needs and couldn’t talk until he was three. He has been going there since he was less than a year old, and even then they were able to accurately check his vision. They are very interactive with the kids and are always quick to explain anything you may not understand. I recommend this office over any in SC!

Vision Therapy, recommended by a friend, far exceeded my expectations as an eye care center. Upon entering the building I was genuinely welcomed by front office staff. My wait was short, and the professionalism shown to me by both Natalie and Dr. Davis was second to none! Geneva and Karen helped to pick out a pair of glasses just right for the shape of my face. With my nearsightedness, now combined with presbyopia, I was given 2 sets of test contacts in order to compare results as I combat my middle aged eyesight. Without hesitation I would highly recommend this practice to friends, family, and anyone who asks!

Dr. Davis and the entire staff are the best of the best! It's too bad I could only give them five stars they are more in the ten plus catagory! Everyone is cheerful and greets you with a smile. They are very patient with me as I am a recent amputee and still learning how to maneuver around things. I have to come from over eighty miles to get their impeccable service but it is well worth the drive. I would and have recommended them to all that asks for a eye care from me. You won't be disappointed that's a promise.

Exam great BUT when I went to get my glasses, which Aetna said "no charge up front" I was informed THEY don't take Aetna. Not a very good setup since when you make your appointment the optical side is too busy to answer any questions and the optometrist side seems to not know. I don't believe that they are in the same "room" and don't know about the optical policy. It is disappointing to have a business do this ☹ I also have a complaint about being told "we don't dilate eyes nobody does that anymore" then when I get there that cost $100. more! Don't bait and switch be honest.

I was given a thorough exam and it turns out my previous optometrist had my prescription wrong. Dr. Kate Davis Tarver reduced my contact prescription considerably. It's a little scary to think I was walking around for over a year with contacts that were incorrect. I'm so glad she was able to get this straight. I have toured and observed the Vision Therapy Institute in action. I've spoken with Dr. Brinkley, his staff and some of their parents. I also looked at what the children (and adults) have written about their experiences. I'm frankly impressed. When I look at derogatory web content about vision therapy (VT) by supposed authorities, most of it is obviously financially motivated. Eye surgeons lose thousands of dollars every time a child's vision is corrected naturally, without expensive - and irreversible - surgery. The clinic has grown steadily over the years and just moved into a state-of-the-art new building dedicated to pediatric vision. They regularly receive referrals from 100 miles away, which appears to be due to their reputation and results. Dr. Brinkley is an innovator who has developed a great deal of VT technology, building upon an advanced degree and 20 years experience in the subject. This doctor is one of the most dedicated, kid-friendly doctors I've met. His passion is giving everyone (esp. children) the gift of good vision. Since VT drills are completely natural and do no harm - the first principle of good medicine - I agree with the slogan of Vision Therapy Institute - "Try VT First!"

The Vision Therapy Institute changed my life. After a catastrophic brain injury caused by a hemorrhagic stroke, I was left with visual perception dysfunction. I had headaches, nausea, balance and vision problems which stopped me from driving, going to stores, etc. Dr. Katie Davis did not only an eyesight and vision exam but also a visual perception exam. On a routine yearly vision exam Dr Davis (who is awesome) I had no central Vision field in my left eye. A more in-depth test with Dr Brinkley at another of their locations the next day revealed a hole forming in my Retina. They got me in to a Retina Specialist (surgeon) that very day. THEN the office Administrator; Sandy called to "check on me' twice" Who does That? These people are quite professional and caring, there is no doubt in my mind if I had went anywhere else this deteriorating condition may not have been caught and wouldn't have had such excellent information, care and results. I am now scheduled for surgery. Drs Davis and Brinkley, (and Sandy) with Vision Therapy will ALWAYS be my Eye Doctors.
