This Pearle Vision location is hands down the best in Chicagoland! I have been a customer for 12 years now. Although I relocated to a different Chicago neighborhood still come for exams, glasses and contact lenses to the Old Town location. Their glasses selection is robust and includes multiple brands and styles. There is something to be found for everyone:) The Manager is super knowledgeable about all aspects of eye care and gives the best eye wear recommendations. She has a great feel for eyewear fashion, is classy and pleasant at the same time. The optometrists are highly educated specialists and take time to explain their findings to customers, which is so rare at other establishments. Last but not least, the front office staff is super friendly and efficient. Kaniasha took care of me and she was great - to the point and very helpful. Thank you all at the Old Town location for working together to make each visit an informative and pleasant experience!

I recently went for an eye exam and to choose glasses. The building is very clean. They have clear guidelines during COVID. They are constantly wiping and making sure germs are not spread. After my thorough exam by the doctor, Bobby was very patient as I picked out glasses. He offered help only when asked and respected that picking out glasses takes time if you want to get a fit that is right for you. I have worn glasses since a young child ( in my 50s now) and I must say this is the BEST experience I have ever had at an Optometrist. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Would give 10 stars if I could. have come here for while now for lenses/contacts because the service has always been very good. Recently though, I had a serious emergency eye issue that required a rush on new lenses so I could see clearly after a procedure. The opthamologist couldn't help so I called Pearle. The store manager, Teara, Bobby, Armand, Charles and Vertrice all worked together to arrange for a VERY FAST turn around and when I came in, the staff had actually looked at my profile to see what types of frames I normally like and had an assortment ready! The amazing lens tech, Ben also rushed the order-during Covid AND a huge snowstorm mind you- and the lenses were perfect first time around! I can't wear contact for awhile so went back and had another pair made but then decided I wanted one pair dark for just sunglasses. I didn't even know if it could be done as it wasn't what I originally asked for but Ben once again came through. It is hard to find good service sometimes and this store always delivered but the way they came through for me this time, during an emergency was OUTSTANDING! Thank you Pearle team!

I have gone to Pearle Vision Old Town Square twice, once before I had cataract surgery in my right eye, and once after. Both times, I received outstanding service from the manager Debbie A. and from the lab tech Ben. They are both highly knowledgeable and professional. And...they went out of their way to accommodate me so I could get my glasses before leaving for a trip. The lenses I needed were not in stock in their store, so they actually drove to another store to get the lenses, and delivered my finished glasses to me the next morning. There are very few service providers who would go out of their way like this for a customer. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. P.S. and their prices are reasonable. When I needed a plain glass lens put in my eyeglass frame to tide me over until after my second cataract surgery, Ben did it for a fraction of the cost that another provider quoted me. Love this store!

I have bought new glasses and had a complete vision work up, including that bizarre glaucoma test where they blow a fast burst of air in your eye, twice here. Although the location is obvious for those that drive down Division regularly, many people just drive by, although the service has been very good. The optometrist that I had last was exceptionally personable and made the appointment as painless as possible. I was surprised by the options for glasses selection as well. I got a pair of Hackett frames (a British company that is higher-end) and, although my insurance required the order to be sent out, they came back quickly and were exactly as ordered. Don't drive by this Pearle; it could be your new "eye" place.

Dr. Hungerfold is professional and courteous... But be advised that they charge an additional $29 for a screening on the back-of-the-eye (optos retinal exam) This used be an optional procedure and I always opted out. This time there is a new machine as part of the steps before meeting the doctor in person. The staff was misleading and made me believe that it is part of the standard procedure included in the VSP co-pay. The green flashlight from the optos machine also blinded my vision for a couple seconds. Two stars off due to the above two reasons.
