I am very satisfied with my experience at Point of U. Ahmed is very passionate about eyewear and was willing to spend time to help me find a pair of frames that suited me. There is also no pressure to purchase and shopping in the store is a relaxed experience. I visited a couple times before making a purchase. The selection of frames available is tastefully curated and very unique. I would highly recommend this store to anybody who is interested in a new pair of glasses.

First of, let me just say that if you need awesome and beautiful frame then come to Point of U! I have spent numerous of money on glasses frames and sometimes finding limited edition frames can be quite difficult. But when I step into Point of U on Newbury St, Ahmed greet me with a very warm welcome. He run this business with a passion and dedication to help everyone who walked into the store and find the perfect frame that suitable for their face. Ahmed is great to do business with, the process was simple and the whole experience wasn’t even rush at all. You definitely have a private experience shopping for frames. I am very indecisive for frames, so i came in twice and happily walked out with DITA Schema-Two frames. Which was Awesome! First time I came, i tried on a buns of frame, Ahmed look at my face and gave me some suggestions but also help me narrow down my search since I do not want a duplicate of what I currently have in my collection. I mostly wear suit to work so he help me find the perfect frames that suit my taste for daily with suits & ties attire. Please come to the store if you want to experience the proper guidance for sunglasses & eyeglases frames since you might find yourself spending hours looking and trying on couples. With that being, the process was never rush and eventually you walked out happy knowing you have been helped and pick the proper frames for yourself. This is an amazing store with outstanding selection of independent brand, and I am tired of big corporate brands name. Look for independent brand, and you will have unique piece that doesn’t look like everyone else. Come and check out since my experience was amazing so I am expecting everyone who come in would feel the same as well. P.S: I already on the hunt for another one now.

Ahmed is the nicest guy I’ve ever met! He’s passionate about eyewear and definitely professional! He treated us like friends. My glasses were too loose and hadn’t been fixed for one year. But he fixed it within 2 minutes and helped me to clean my glasses! Greatest eyewear shop experience!

Point of U carries some of the most beautiful, luxury glasses. They have a large selection of the Dita brand, which in my experience are super well crafted, high fashion frames. They’re also extremely light and comfortable on the face compared to other brands. I haven’t seen Dita glasses at any other store in the Boston area, so I’d recommend stopping by for the unique styles. Ahmed, the store owner, is the main reason we love this shop! Sometimes it can feel intimidating to walk into a boutique store, but it was so comfortable and easy to chat with Ahmed, and we also truly felt no pressure from him to have to purchase anything. We couldn’t decide on a pair after the first day, so he kept the store open late for us when we came back later that week. We’re so grateful for his time and help!!

The owner is BEYOND skilled in helping people find the right shape, fit, and LOOK! Ahmed and his lovely wife were both so equally attentive from the minute we walked into the store. We felt heard and welcomed. You could tell how passionate and knowledgeable Ahmed was right away. I wish I could give out infinite stars because this place is truly THE BEST. Point of U. deserves to become known by more people. The owner Ahmed is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He is extremely patient and passionate about what he does. One hinge of my glasses was broken and I asked if it’s possible to keep the lenses and have the frame replaced. He spent a lot of time looking for a frame that matches perfectly with my lenses. I knew it’s hard to find a perfect match but he tried one pair after another patiently just so I would be able to have my glasses fixed before school starts. He genuinely cares about customers’ needs and feelings. His kindness really made my day.

Today on the way to class, my left lens fell out of my sunglasses. Keep in mind that I didn't buy these glasses at Point of U. I took them to Ahmad hoping that he could point me in the right direction to get them fixed, and he repaired them himself. It's not often anymore that the customer is given the opportunity to form a connection to a store and the people that own it. Ahmad at Point of U has created an eyewear store that, at its heart, is a small town shop. I go there not just to browse and try on amazingly high quality glasses, I also go there to catch up with my friend. Thank you

I was wearing my old glasses when I first walked in, the frame was already tilted. Ahmed, the store owner, offered to fix it for free without me even buying anything there yet. He has awesome taste, found 3-4 glasses that fit my face shape right away, super efficient (and I have a diamond face which is hard to find glasses that looks good!). There is no pressure of buying, and you can take as long as you need to figure out what you like best. What I valued most about this place is that Ahmed would give his most honest opinion. I was debating between two frames, one is around 500 dollars and another is around 300 dollars. I personally thinks the 300 dollar one fits me better, but the 500 dollar one has an interesting frame shape that I've never tried before. After a long time of going back and forth, Amhed said: "If I'm honest with you, I say the 300 one fits you better." I was happy that our choices are the same, tho it was a surprise that he would recommend the lower price one. He is passionate about glaases and really wants what he believes is best choice for his customer. I had great experience here and would def recommend this place.

Upon entering Point of U, I was greeted by the store owner, Amit, and was amazed with what a genuine, kind, human being he was. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable which speaks towards his impressive collection of top of the line independent producers. I went into Point of U on Saturday and was so impressed by how incredible the collection was. However, I truly returned on Sunday not just for the collection but more so because of how great Amit was. Beyond exited for my new Thom Brownes and to have a reliable, communicative, and genuine friend to do business with going forward.

Nothing like getting into a store and quickly feel at home, and realize that everything there is top quality. Point of U quickly won my trust for its quality of products and dedicated honest service. Everything is so tasty, from the ambience to specially selected brands, known for their trademark of durability and slick beautiful designs, like Oliver's People and Francois Pinton. A small boutique with only one person to serve us, so kind and knowledgeable (clearly a specialist), the guidance is solid. All of the glasses in that store were hip and new, they had some cool fashion one, with a retro neon vibe. The best part was all the help and care I was given while picking my pair. Simply the best optician and eyewear I’m Boston. You don’t go there for glasses only you go there for the experience. The way the owner takes care of you makes you feel special.
