Everyone was very kind to us! Our appointments were done in the office with telehealth technicians and it was a bit difficult and we felt like our prescriptions weren’t quite right. We expressed our concerns and they immediately had us rescheduled for a redo exams for when their actual Dr would be in the office. Those follow up appointments were quick and we got better prescriptions! And again everyone was so kind!

Excellent experience at this store. Lost my vision insurance recently and didn't really know where to turn to because vision care is so expensive. So I was skeptical to see such good deals at Stanton Optical, but I was actually very impressed. The technicians during the exam were very efficient. I had a bit of an issue with my left eye so they scheduled me for a visit with the optometrist and it was corrected quickly. Most of all, the customer service was very good. Jaylene, specifically, was very kind and helpful. She sold me on a new pair of sunglasses and couldn't be happier with them! Will definitely come back.

The Stanton on Milwaukee is the place to go in Boise! Gaylene & Jennifer were so patient with me and my kiddo as we went through the paperwork, eye exam and overall glasses-picking experience. Wow!! The manager for Stanton is amazing. She gives us cold water bottles, my Mother in-law glass is out of warranty but she took care of my MIL.needs by fixing her glass. The staff there was exceptional, unfortunately they currently only have an optometrist on site certain days, and use a separate company to do exams remotely for the others. The individual who gave me my exam (remotely) seemed to be in a hurry and got my prescription wrong for one eye, which will likely double the wait for my glasses from 2 weeks to close to a month... I would highly recommend going on a day when there will be someone there to give the exam in person!

Skip the boiler house customer service operator in Nampa and insist on local store contact for 1405 N. Milwaukee in Boise. Walked in, no appointment, dealt w/Sales Mgr (Amy), provided my eyeglass prescription, picked out frames. My 2 for $79.00 processed in 15 minutes. In past two weeks walked out of several other eyeglass places due to ZERO customer service. Bravo Zulu Stanton Optical!

Very clean and open! The eye exam was telemed and I actually preferred that. It was a stress free experience. During other exams I would get stressed out because the “is 1 or 2 better” and I would say they were the same or I didn’t know and other doctors would just keep pushing for an answer. This doctor would say “1,2, or about the same”. It made the experience so much better! Everyone who was working in the office are extremely nice and proud of their store and it shows. I highly recommend it. But a heads up is you pay separately for lenses. I’ve never been somewhere fancy for glasses so that caught me off guard!

Walk in for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. Ended up with two pairs of glasses, and a really cool experience in the exam room. It's all digital so there's not any worries with covid. Eye exam was easy to follow and precise. Picked out a few glasses I liked, and the two ladies told me straight what they thought of them. I was interested in contacts, and they let me take home not two, but three colored eye contacts. Got my prescription within an hour of being there. One of the best places I've gone to by far. Thanks so much Stanton!

The staff was very nice but the wait time was insane , we had made an appointment for my 85 year old grandmother and waited over 2 hours sitting on metal chairs and she was very uncomfortable. Long wait times aren’t an issue but maybe better chairs for the wait. Staff was very kind and helpful though

Initially I was disappointed with the customer service I received when I purchased my glasses. When I picked them up and tried them on they were too tight. The customer service agent offered to shape them and made a feeble attempt at doing so. I felt like she couldn’t be bothered with helping me. A month later I brought the glasses back. I expected the same lame service. Then Mattie came to my rescue. She made the exchange process easy. With a smile she adjusted the pair I was exchanging so they fit good enough to wear until my new pair came in. She was patient, kind, and helpful. I will come back to Stanton optical because of her willingness to help me.

For me I had way more cons then then pros. One pro I had was I was able to be seen right away which was a plus. Now for the cons. I hated that the eye doctor was not in person. Instead it was a virtual eye exam which is ok. But for me it made me feel like I was just number and not a patient. The doctor didn't even ask me questions on how my eye sight has been or if I have any concerns. My 2nd con was the selection for name brand frame ware was limited to one wall. It wasn't big at all. Also the sales lady was super rude and not approachable at all. She even made comments to her co-worker about a patient appearance. Over all I probably won't come back here again. I'm only leaving 3 stars because I got my glasses and contact in fast.

When it came time to pick out some frames, Marci was amazing and helped me understand all the different choices when it comes to lenses and pricing. She ran all the numbers to get me the best price on the frames I really wanted and some sunglasses! They went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed, and were so accommodating.

I want to give this crew 100% satisfaction on our service today , I brought in my 2 daughters (ages 14 & 19 ) for eye exams and my self for contact exam Mr, HECTOR , SARAH AND JENNIFER Did an amazing job through the entire visit !! Hector explained to us what astigmatism is in full detail which was nice to be able to understand since ( all 3 of us have it ) we’ve been to different optometrists and no one has taken the time to explain things to us , they also took the time to explain in full detail what our insurance covered and what was going to be out of pockets costs in a very simple break down !! I will definitely be referring them to my friends and family because here they makes you feel like HOME!! Amazing experience, I had gotten to Stanton in nampa and wasn’t happy there , I’m so glad they opened this Boise office ,the entire crew is very pleasant !! Let’s not forget to mention they do telehealth meaning your doctor is on screen but as accurate as an in person doctor ( the future is here)

Great place, especially is you don't have vision insurance! Very easy on the wallet! My husband, 7yo, & I all got comprehensive exams. The optometrist was very patient with my overly energetic son & got through the exam with ease. He did not need glasses this time. My husband's appointment took the longest because his eyes are the worst out of us all. He even referred us to an opthalmologist for my husband's eyes. The optician & his assistant helped me keep our toddler entertained while my husband picked out frames & lenses. Both my husband & I got a pair of glasses & a pair of prescription sunglasses. They have a large selection of frames & can make any sunglasses! They offer a military discount on your frames & lenses! We also got 50% off our lenses for our glasses & their sunglass special is make ANY frame prescription sunglasses for $99! Lastly, I only had to pay for my son's exam! The exam fee was waived for my husband & I because we bought glasses from them.

Ok 3 different points good & not so much. 1 the ladies that do all the work & help are AMAZING!. Yhey are so nice & answered all my questions & even adjusted my old glasses since I had to wait for the new ones. They were so professional & courteous. Absolutely wonderful. They made the whole experience tolerable. I would give the ladies a full 5 stars! 2. Getting my actual prescription was a horrible experience. It was via TV & the woman that was doing the machine via remote was soooooo rude & impatient. I had to repetitively ask her to slow down & she wouldn't. Worst experience ever. 1 star. 3. Then when I went to pick up my glasses the optometrist kept mansplaining everything. I told him I've been wearing glasses for 20+ years & understand how they work & how I know I need them but I guess I still needed a tutorial on how eyeballs work & the difference between my old ones & new ones & why my prescription is different. He would not listen that I already knew allllllllllll about it. Oh ok keep going on different types of glasses & how astigmatism works 🙄. I tries to tell him how I needed my glasses adjusted.. Nope hes still not listening, I just said ok & took my glasses & left. They are still not properly adjusted I'd rather do it at home then be mansplained on what I already know after I asked him to stop twice. 2 stars

Nothing is more exciting than going in to get new glasses after almost two years of not having them. Then pricing things out: your hope slowly fades away. This has been the hardest week for me, and that was the icing on the cake. I broke down in tears. Sarah and Hector came to the rescue. If you need glasses or contacts, YOU NEED TO GO HERE!
