This was my first experience at Eyemart Express and Maria was extra helpful in helping me decipher my new insurance benefits and helping me to select the lenses I wanted to go with the frames I decided on (so many frames to choose from)! The best thing and main reading I went there was for SAME DAY SERVICE. I picked up both pairs of glasses after only a little more than a hour. A great custom fitting ensured they’d be comfortable. Overall I’d give them a 10+ rating.

Dr Erik Thompson and his staff of Eye Pros of Boise are amazing! This is the first place I have had an eye exam resulting in the correct prescription. When I tried on my new prescription glasses, I could see clearly and my eyes were relaxed instantly. Kayla and the team at Eyemart Express are awesome! Kayla made sure the new frames I picked out fit correctly and helped me choose the best prescription lenses for my new frames and replacement lenses for my prescription sunglasses. Both establishments share the same building and provide a professional, efficient, friendly and seamless experience!

My customer experience was overall very good. Once I was able to sit down with the specialist,Maria, she was very helpful and offered her honest opinion when I was undecided on which frames to get.She was super friendly and very professional … I gave it a four out of five star rating because the one thing that I found very frustrating was that the entire experience took four hours! There were so many people waiting to be waited on, whether it was to simply pick up their glasses or to pick them out… there were several people there waiting just to have the fitting adjusted and had been waiting for over an hour. It was very chaotic. People were just standing around-there wasn’t enough seating. People were waiting at the desk to be waited on and at one point I counted 13 people standing in line some with with their prescriptions in hand,waiting to meet with someone. There was one person on the right of the desk that was taking people and new prescriptions and doing the fittings and trying different styles and there were about five people on the other side that were assisting people that were picking up they’re already finished glasses and fitting them . each person spent on the average of thirty minutes to forty five minutes with whoever they were with… personally that’s great that they spent that much time with their customers and not one time did I ever hear any of the associates get frustrated or even seem overwhelmed they all had happy positive enthusiastic personalities! you get that many people in a room and everybody’s getting frustrated and people have been waiting for a very long time and even having to come back several times throughout the day and still having to wait, it was becoming very chaotic. I have experienced this on other occasions at other eye marts so I am sure it is not just this particular business. I think there needs to be appointments made and set for these particular things I understand there’s a staff shortage all over but it does not help anybody if people just start walking out and taking their business elsewhere. I know this is a long post but I wanted it definitely to be known that though my experience took forever and I was even late for an appointment elsewhere, the staff were fabulous!

Everyone from Dr.Bloom to all the staff, they were fun and funny. And for my visit with everyone on the glasses side, they helped me with picking the pair of glasses that looked best for me! All I can say everyone I know that needs glasses I will recommend! Eye-mart Express and your entire team are excellent! This is the all in one eye care place I've gone to for years. I get my glasses and my contacts here and my eye exams. When I didn't have insurance they took care of me and when I did they took care of me still. Reasonable pricing and the timely and professional manner in which they made me my eye wear was phenomenal I highly recommend them for any of their Treasure Valley locations.

A good day at Eye Mart yesterday, the 2nd day of December. The wait for sales was relatively quick. Enjoyed the extra hour, getting a hair cut, before returning to pick up my new glasses as they texted me the lab had them ready.. A busy place and great staff!

Eyemart Express was so good to me. It wasn’t my best day because my glasses were broken in a fall and speed in getting new ones was super important. Not only were my glasses broken—along with my face—but my spare pair was so old as to be useless. They produced 2 pair of glasses for me in less than thirty minutes at a ridiculously reasonable cost. The frames for my new spare pair were only $20. I have never been so happy to get a pair of glasses in my life! Eyemart has my business from now on.

The sales person, Sara, did a great job of making sure that I was happy with my frame selection. She was chatty and informative. It was a good experience. I received my text for delivery actually sooner than I expected. When I picked up my glasses we had a great deal of trouble getting them straight on my face. The representative (I wish I had gotten her name) was very patient and tried really hard to get it right. I took the glasses home but wasn’t entirely satisfied with the fit. After wearing them throughout the evening I realized that not only were they not exactly straight the ear pieces were were messed up. I took them back the next day and the manager was manning the adjustment desk. She was awesome. The store had several employees not make it to work due to snowy roads so she was swamped. She kept her cool and was polite and patient with all her customers. She could immediately tell that I had a defective frame so she took another one off the rack, popped my lenses in and I was on my way. Great experience. I highly recommend this company and the Boise location in particular!

Highly recommend this place! They do walk-ins for glasses if you come with an up-to-date prescription so it’s a really easy and simple process. My glasses were ready within 20 minutes!

I have been going to Eyemartbfor years. I decided, about 3 years ago, to try America's Worst in Boise for an irresistible sale they were having, on Franklin Rd.. We live and learn, what A HORRIBLE choice and experience!! I went back to Eyemart Express yesterday and I am so glad to back. The people were amazing and the prices were amazing and I have an amazing pair of glasses and I still have money in the bank! If you want great service & amazing glasses ready the same day, this is the place! The staff are knowledgeable & professional. The selection was outstanding! They took my insurance without hesitation. I got 2 pairs of glasses for $18 after insurance. The 1st pair was finished in 16 minutes & the 2nd in 11 minutes. I needed the glasses quickly due to a serious eye problem. I was thrilled to be able to get them the same day. Then within 30 minutes was above & beyond my expectations.

Went in to shop for some new glasses and was very happy with the experience. Jordan was the lady who helped us and she was absolutely amazing. Really fun personality, very professional, always checked on us if we had questions, and she made the process quick and enjoyable. She really knew her stuff. The store also was very serious about cleaning and keeping surfaces clean and glasses. I felt safe while shopping and moving about in the store. As well as interacting with the staff. They did an amazing job and we had all 3 pairs of glasses we bought done and on our faces the same day (though that may not always be the case). The prices and selection here are also amazing. They didn't even take my insurance and I didn't spend over 100 bucks and got 2 pairs of glasses with lenses. I highly recommend shopping for glasses here. Great job Eyemart!

Customer interactions on the optical business are always more involved than, say, checking out at Walmart. So if the place is full of waiting patrons, wait times are long. I waited perhaps 30 minutes to be seen for my needs, but once there, I felt genuinely heard and well served. After settling on frames and paying for them, my “one hour” wait for my new glasses was actually only 24 minutes. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the whole experience. Going from desperately needing a solution to wearing new glasses in about 90 minutes was great service.

I love all the discounts on eye wear that Eyemart offers. I like that I can have multiple glasses to wear because they are affordable. I’m a busy mom and was short on time picking out new frames. Jace saved they day! He made it fun and less stressful. Jace gave me an honest yet fun opinion about the style of frames I was trying on. He made it feel like he was your good friend and made it a great shopping experience. I picked out some frames I wouldn’t of normally bought but jace found all the great deals and discounts for to me to help make it affordable to get the frames and lenses I wanted. I went to Eyemart Express to get two pairs of glasses for under $39. My frames were $19.98 each and the lenses were inexpensive also. All together I paid under $10.00 out of pocket for two pairs of glasses. The wait was alittle long due to covid and employees being out sick, but it wasn't unbearable. My glasses were ready in an hour and they took the time to make sure they fit just right. If at any time I need an adjustment, it's free!! I'm pleased to be the new owner of two pairs of Eyemart Express glasses.....!!

This is one of the few places that I know in the area that has a lab, meaning they don't send it away to get the glasses customized. They aren't able to do special orders, but for standard prescriptions this is the place to go. The staff is very warm, friendly and helpful. Same day service, shocking!

My kids are always losing glasses or breaking them. I love that I can get replacements done in less than an hour. From the time my son picked out his frames it took 15 minutes to get them made up. They said it would take an hour so that was an extremely quick turnover. Staff was friendly and the price of 2 pairs for only $39.99 was amazing!

Technical Difficulties

My kid had broke his frames last week while I was out of town and he had to live sight challenged for a week. We went to eyecare hoping they accepted Medicaid but they don't. That did not stop the sales technician from going above and beyond to help him. She was able to take the old lenses and pop them in new frames. Also gave us a discount on the frames. Will definitely be shopping there when it is time for me to get new glasses.

Everything went smooth, got my glasses quickly and was offered a case but no cleaning cloth. I went to put the glasses on and saw a finger print but I had no cleaning cloth. This should be one thing the sales person should make sure is given with a new pair of glasses, a case and cleaning cloth. Other then that, everything was perfect.

This is the place to go for an eye exam and to get glasses I could write A book about how above and beyond these people went for me. The initial experience was excellent already had eye exam I just went to buy glasses. But couldn't see with the new glasses that were made in 40 minutes Which is awesome. When I went back thinking there was a problem on their behalf They went through everything no questions asked very polite. They did their own eye exam at a discounted rate and find out the prescription from the other doctor in Virginia was totally wrong. I thought I was gonna have to repay to put lenses not only in my glasses but my sunglasses that I had bought from them. Is to my surprise nothing 100% covered they said our pleasure to help you the glasses are wonderful I can see great you can't ask for better than that. There problem my problem it didn't matter they made it clear they were there to fix it and make me happy it's hard to find customer service like this in today's world

I asked for my glasses to be shipped. They didn't get shipped. I called once and was told it would be looked into. Then I was hung up on. Possibly by accident. They next time I called, Morgan helped me quickly and is getting my glasses shipped. I'm very thankful for the quality service from your company. Recently I chose a different eye wear provider because of insurance reasons. I’ve always gone to Brian and his staff for my glass needs. I was very displeased with the service I received from the competitor and demanded a refund. As soon as I got the refund I was at Eyemart ordering my new glasses. My insurance still covered some of the cost and my glasses and they were done within a half hour. I not only had the best service from Brian and Kala but saved over $100 from the previous company. And, I was told I could have a free second pair of glasses. Amazing. (Actually, my final cost at Eyemart was way less than my cost from the competition with insurance) I learned my lesson. When I get the best service from someone, stay with them, promote them, pray for continued success. Thank you to all who assisted in one of the best experiences ever for me. BTW Kala and her assistant were not only professional in their ways but very personable. I like the combination.

I don't have insurance, but you don't need it here. Service was top-notch from Gabby helping me select the correct lenses to Keith helping make sure my new glasses fit correctly, they were fantastic. I got Esquire frames w/ anti-reflective, scratch resistant, UV blocking lenses as well as a set of RX sunglasses for under $200. Very impressive! They are also really fast. Upon entering it was confusing to know the process. One is expected to check in at a front desk, then be called to be assisted. But there wasn't anyone at the desk and no sign indicating what to do. Everyone was wonderful. I was the first appointment of the morning. They checked my eyes and I received a new prescription. They even accepted my insurance! I took my prescription to the other side where I was greeted by Kayla. She was friendly and professional. She gathered my insurance information and I looked at glasses. After she pulled up my info she explained to me what my insurance covered and helped me pick out glasses. After picking them out she sent it all to the lab. Both pair were finished in just over a half hour! My glasses were fitted to me and I was all done. The whole process from start to finish took about an hour and a half. Thank you Eyemart Express!

Moved to the area last year and needed my eyeglasses updated. After combing through many reviews, decided to make the trip from Eagle to this Boise location. As a RN, I was a bit worried about COVID-19 precautions. This establishment made me feel safe with their procedures of placing eye wear selections you've touched in your own personal bags so they can disinfect them before returning it to the show cases, disinfecting surfaces often, and employees wearing masks...kudos! I'm very picky with my eye wear and what usually takes me a few hours to browse the selection took just about an hour due to the help of their employee Katrina. I required an Asian fit eye wear which is difficult to find. She helped to make personalized frame recommendations based on my facial features, prescription, style, and insurance. With all the years of traveling I've done as a military spouse and for work, I have never been to a place with such excellent service. If looking for an establishment for your eye wear...look no further. This is the place. Many thanks Katrina. My family members will definitely be seeing you on an annual basis.

I have worn glasses and contacts my entire life. Last year when I went to my typical place to get my prescription updated, I was disappointed with the outcome, so this year I tried this unassuming retail location. What a difference! I expressed my concern about “getting it right” and the doctor truly heard me. My prescription is spot on and the contacts are great, but that’s not the end of the story. Yesterday I phoned on pricing for glasses. The prices were fair so I popped in. My prescription is rather robust so we talked about size of frames, shape and ways to minute the thickness. Great guidance. This is when the shocker came in. We started talking about how my daily use of the glasses came in to play. I only use them when sitting in front of the screen and never outside. We talked about coatings and infraction. I’m needing out a bit, but I am so impressed by their knowledge and investment in getting it right that I had to share. A huge thank you to this team!

They were pretty great. Most of the people were awesome, one guy was rude on the doctors side his name tag said manager. He was just ignoring everyone, staff and customers. Our doctor even told us to tell him we needed another picture or the back of the eye and when we approached him for the 3rd time (first time was the open customer service window where he was sitting, we stood right in front of him where we were supposed to wait for about 5 minutes, where he ignored us until someone else helped) he just looked at us and didn't respond. Then another staff member helped. While fitting the glasses the doctor had to come get us for the picture. Everyone else was great. Aside from that rude guy it was great. The people that worked with the glasses were wonderful.

I began wearing glasses in my 40's. It was, and continues to be a difficult adjustment for me. I went to Eyemart, Boise for the price... but the service was exceptional. Upon getting my new prescription and glasses, and living with them for 9 days, the new glasses needed an adjustment. The optometrist re-examined my eyes and gave me a revised prescription, and new lens were installed in the frames. The new prescription was less effective than the original. So back I went. At that point Brian (manager?) took me on as a special project :) and the prescription was revised once again. This time the results are wonderful. The best part of the experience was that even though I was clearly what I myself would call a "problem customer"... Brian, the doctor, and the entire staff, were extremely pleasant, professional, and each change I asked for was met with a smile and a sincere attempt to solve my problem. I would recommend them highly.

I came to eyemart express because I wanted to replace the lenses in my current glasses. Had I let the eye clinic I go to do it, I would've been without my glasses for a week. Eyemart Express got it done in about an hour while I was out at breakfast(my roommate drove, since I'm blind without my glasses), and I got a free pair of glasses since I bought an extra pair while I was there. So I walked away with 4 pairs of glasses(2 which I already had the frames for, 2 entirely new pairs), all of which were ready in an hour. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. There are so many choices for frames, but one of the girls quickly helped me find 2 that I liked. I'll definitely be back when I need a stronger prescription again. :)

We had a couple hours till I could get in so we ran a few errands. Got called back in earlier than anticipated and got the eye exam out of the way. I almost gave less stars, but this is the 4th time I've gotten multiple pairs of glasses here. Good prices, fast, and usually good customer service. Trying to not let this one experience ruin it for me. As I'm being fit for my finished glasses, a man walks up and leans on the counter next to me. He stunk of alcohol. A man hands him his glasses and he physically rubs against me to squeeze in front of me and steal my mirror. I of course move away quickly and sit down at a station much further from the counter, upset by his rude behavior. The girl fixing my glasses had her back turned heating them up, but 5 other employees were standing right there and didn't say anything or offer him another mirror...?! When you are called up to fit your glasses, that is your personal one on one time at the counter, that's why there is a list and you wait your turn. I know it's fast paced and busy in there, but if you can't get a minute of personal service when fitting... it was right before closing, only a few customers left and ample employees and other mirrors everywhere. I'm still upset by it. I took my 2nd pair and left pretty fast at that point. Hope they fit right.

Getting old and getting Bi-focals is not what anyone wants to hear, but Eyemart Express made the whole process easier.
