We've been patients of this practice for over 35 years. Even though the doctors and staff have changed over the years, we still feel welcomed. We receive excellent optical care. For us it is well worth the drive from south of Billings to the Billings Heights. Billings Family Eyecare is the absolute best!!

From the front desk staff to the patient care to the Optometrist and finally the last stop picking out glasses, every step along the way was impressive, beyond helpful & compassionate. Billings Family Eye Care actually makes an eye examine pleasant. From the front desk to seeing Dr Despain, everyone was very pleasant and helped me feel at ease. When looking at the charts, the tech asked me to read the lines(s) that I felt comfortable with. No one has ever put it that way. Right away I relaxed and read the lines I could see the best instead of struggling to see what I thought I should have been able to see. 5 STARS to Dr. Despain and his his team.

I would have given 5-stars however one of the ladies that fit & take orders for glasses was having a bad day and a bit snarky. Did not catch her name or happily would submit. She did not fit in , everything & everyone else was great. I did over hear her complaining to a fellow employee she didn’t sleep well so maybe that’s her problem. She’s in the seat to the left of front desk, farthest from entry door. Just an FYI, something like that can turn a person off….

My optometrist retired, so I had to find new eyecare, covered by my insurance. I was certainly pleased by the professionalism of all staff, including optometrist Dr. Despain, but also the quality of the exam, with the latest high tech equipment, since I am starting to deal with both cataracts and glaucoma. I also appreciated the atmosphere here, with easy parking.

Just had an eye exam & also selected glasses here. VERY impressed. I get very nervous having eye exams (they freak me out - I can't even wear contacts). Simply the best, most comprehensive, funniest optometrist I've ever visited! The doctor also gives you very practical advice on how to take care of your eyes economically. Highly Recommend!
