Wonderful service, caring doctors and staff. Someone asks what they can help you with when you walk through the door. My family and I have been Dr. Bauer patients for several years, always professional and pleasant. Always inquires about my son that lives out of state. The lady who helped me with glasses was enthusiastic, happy, super informative, walked me through with everything. Tackled insurance like it was a cake walk. Highly recommend Bauer & Clausen!

I have to say up front I’m one of those people who value substance and quality of health care delivered by caring providers over how places look and how many freebies and waiting room treats they give out. I was skeptical of Bauer & Clausen initially as a place that seems to emphasize its “look”. However, I then had an excellent visit with the provider I saw, followed more recently by an even more outstanding response to a weekend contact lens emergency I had across the country. Dr. Bauer was on call and sent me my prescription by email; then when I needed the brand on this adjusted to something a local store had in stock, he was able to fax this new prescription in a very timely fashion. He saved the weekend and especially made my 2 hour sunny drive home from the airport safer and more bearable. Can’t thank him and his co-provider enough for their excellent care.

I appreciated the process our doctor led us through; we won’t need glasses for them today but maybe in the future. She spoke about growth & change in children’s eyes. there are too many people there. i had to check in with two people for a follow up. and i realize that customer service is great but i find it an insult to be told that i will be escorted to the waiting room that is 20 feet away. i overall like the clinic very much just to much and over the top sweetness and helpfullness!!!!that is why only 3 starts

Even though he has Medicaid and could have had his exam elsewhere without any out of pocket cost to me, I chose to bring him to Bauer and Clausen because of the excellent service I have received and because of how amazing they were with my father after he suffered a stroke that left him without the ability to effectively communicate. I’ve seen Dr Bauer for years. Even though he is excellent, his staff is poorly trained. I had one pair of glasses I could never wear and when I made an appointment to see the Dr, I was sent to an optician. Now this is the second pair of glasses I have ordered that have been delayed because the staff member did not get all the information when I was in the office. They are very expensive, but I’m willing to pay for a great product. I am losing faith in this office.

I had my usual satisfying and informative visit with Dr. Clausen but the highlight was my session with Alexa T. to adjust my glasses. I had previously given up on having my glasses comfortably adjusted to my face. Alexa immediately understood my 3 complaints about the fit. She completely changed it. The entire weight on the glasses is no longer on one nose pad, my glasses are no longer closer to my right eye than left and they are finally level across my face. To my complete amazement that cured my subtle double vision. The edges of everything, whether near or far, were suddenly crisp and definitive. I was thrilled and almost cried. Got me in quickly for the exam and Dr Forsch was efficient and friendly. The optical shop was a bit disappointing. BC no longer cleans glasses between customers or at all?. Every pair was smudged, smeared and fingerprinted... No wipes were available to clean the frames and asking the tech about a cleaning cloth made it seem like I was making a ridiculous request. COVID it's still around... Cold and flu season.. these go on people's face..I was totally yucked out by this. Also, no prices on the frames... Already expensive to continue full service eye care here when so many other clean & clearly priced options exist.

Jamie enjoyed visiting w Dr Bauer and his exam pwas thorough. He was trained into contact lenses for his first time ever and Kali did such a great job training him. She nailed the training and then some! She has so much passion for contact lenses and the training she provides. Jamie thought initially that he wouldn't be able to put a contact into his eye and Kali proved him wrong. :) She taught him all of the "ins and outs". Every office needs a Kali. Dr Dooper's prescription for my son Lukas for the krispy kreme donut was probably one of the cutest things I've experienced as a Mom. You seriously delighted Lukas w the free donut. Luckily Krispy Kreme is not far away...we grabbed the donut after the appointment. Thank you! I watched and listened to the staff while waiting for Luke and Jamie and I was impressed with their level of service during what was a very busy time. Everyone worked as a team and the flow was so efficient. You all should be so proud!! My vision is horrible so I wore glasses all the time. It was getting really old. I hate touching my own eyes, so I never wore contacts. When I made an appointment, they were very polite over the phone and asked MY concerns before making an appointment. When I arrived at the facility, the first thing I noticed was how immaculate the building is. Second, was the staff and how welcoming everyone was. The exam went well and the optometrist was just as friendly and caring as the rest of the staff. They really helped me with the contacts and had a staff member assist me in putting them in and taking them out multiple times to get me use to wearing them. Will be going back for all my eye appointments.

I was early for my appointment but one of the women who checked me in said that the staff has just gone out for lunch. The waiting area was comfortable. Soon I was called in & the pre-tests were done, with explanations about what they were checking out. I was taken in to Dr. Clausen’s office & she came in soon. We talked briefly & I told her my concerns & she did all the tests & exams. She assured me there were no signs of macular degeneration (which is prevalent in my maternal family). She said the changes were minimal & she thought I could continue to wear the glasses I got last year after my exams. Before I left another woman adjusted my glasses & told me to come in any time to get my glasses readjusted. The office is beautiful, the staff is polite & explains everything. I really like Dr. Clausen whom I’ve seen for many years. It’s a top notch place.

Fantastic experience from the beginning to the end. Very welcoming/ friendly staff. Dr. Dooper was very knowledgeable, personable, and pleasant to speak with. He and his staff were on time and professional. He was patient and took his time/ I did not feel rushed. I have always considered LASIK but was always told that it probably wasn’t worth it since my eyes aren’t that bad. Dr. Dooper informed me that I could have the procedure done/ no longer have to wear contacts. I’m definitely considering it since the price of yearly contacts/ hassle is in the Long run is more expensive. Aside from the great news about LASIK, I’ve been wearing the same daily brand of contacts (apparently the most expensive) for many years now and have never been given the choice of other daily less expensive options. I wouldn’t have even thought to ask but Dr. Dooper suggested I give the cheaper ones a try and see if I could save some money! Makes me have faith in their services. I would highly recommend Dr. Dooper to friends/ family!
