My husband and I both had appointments with Dr. Nikil Patel at the Cumberland Costco yesterday. We have never had a more thorough examination. This optometrist is excellent...very professional and knowledgeable, and his equipment is state of the art. We have both decided to move from our previous opthalmology practice and start seeing Dr. Patel regularly. His office staff is also to be commended. They went over and above to make sure we were taken care of in a timely manner. Kudos to this doctor and his staff!

My exam took less than 20 minutes even with a piece of equipment that needed to be rebooted. The doctor took some extra time to educate me about the retinal scan. I would highly recommend them!!

Vani vision offers better and less expensive eye examinations than the ophthalmologist at Marietta Eye Clinic. The optometry service is superior as well. Overall very satisfied with the reading glasses and distance glasses from them. Keep an eye out for their specials.

Both the Dr. And the assistant are very efficient! No wait time for me. Dr. Patel knows what he's doing, he gave me the best tips on how to put in and take out contacts and I got it in no time! My initial intention was to start wearing contacts sometimes because I didn't want to deal with the struggle like I experienced 10 Yrs ago but now, I'm thinking it would be nice to wear them everyday because it's not a hassle for me anymore thanks to his great tips. Dr. Patel is warm, efficient, thorough and a bit rushed at times. His staff gets a mixed review. One staff member was warm and engaging while the other was rather impersonal. Both however, did their jobs conscientiously. I noticed that last year's eye drops he recommended were sold at Costco and this year he recommended different drops - also sold at Costco. Last years drops which I prefer, are no longer sold at Costco. I'm suspect that he's pushing Costco products instead of recommending the "best" drops. To be fair, he may believe that all the drops are the same and really doesn't have a preference.

My appointment was with Dr. Nikil Patel. I had made the mistake of putting my appointment in my calendar at 9:00, but it was actually 10:30. Dr. Patel arrived a few minutes after I did and managed to get me through the appointment without having to wait until 10:30. I thought that was super considerate and kind. The examination was smooth and after, we discussed the conditions he detected. Most important, the macular degeneration I have. I was first diagnosed about 3 years ago, but no one has taken the time to discuss the options I have to slow down this disease. He also made sure I was able to experience the decline in my eyesight already in play. This was helpful for me to understand the importance of taking the disease seriously immediately -- and not waiting until I noticed my vision failing. I hope he stays at this location. It's super convenient and he is a stellar doctor! If he changes locations, I hope I can find him!

Dr Patel is the best! His practice has state of the art equipment and his location is very convenient. I hate getting the drops in my eyes to dilate my pupils and Dr Patel has a special machine so I don't have to get the drops. That alone is worth the visit!!

Dr Patel was fantastic. Despite being the last appointment of the day, he was all smiles and full of energy. They got me through my appointment in record time but without making me feel like it was a 'cattle call'. I recommend the retina scan as it provides valuable insight to health issues you may not otherwise be aware of. My own retina scan helped relieve me of worry I had with an ongoing health issue. I was impressed by the technology used in Dr. Patel's office. He knew exactly what to do to diagnose my peculiar problem with double-vision and he was honest and direct with his plans for fixing a problem I have had my entire life. After having seen dozens of eye doctors about my issue, Dr. Patel just seemed to know immediately how to resolve it. I had been to TWO separate ophthalmologists over the past two years through my Kaiser insurance to be told that "Nothing was wrong or I needed to wear sunglasses". Dr. Patel was amazing and fast! He recommended two additional scans to my eyes and quickly was able to diagnose my blurry vision as a combination of dry eyes and a piece of vitreous that was connect or was not floating around that was casting a continuous shadow over the retina in my right eye. He suggested that I wait and see if it will naturally detach and not need surgery for now. He also recommended progressive lenses with coatings to decrease eye strain at work viewing very small print and then looking up at computers going from dark to light back and forth. VERY impressed and cannot wait to get my glasses.
