Ask for Eunice she is Awesome and helped me get a contact prescription for two different lenses no problem. And while I understand employees need to upsell she was not pushy at all and didn’t try getting me into more expensive lenses (I can’t say the same for the others). I would go back solely because she was SO helpful, honest, and saved me money. Thank you Eunice!

Wish I could give more stars. Eunice helped me pick a pair of glasses and ordered them in less than 20 mins total. Insurances and coverages are so immensely confusing but that stress was mollified by the great service and substantial discounts.

The staff are very nice and helpful. It was very easy for me to get my prescription and new pair of glasses in under an hour. All of the glasses they have are very high quality but are a little pricey, but they also have a buy get one free and a free eye Appointment if you buy glasses; so I think with that heavy discount the prices are fair or at least a lot cheaper than the alternatives. 10/10 would come again and would definitely recommend to a friend.

It was a quick and easy visit. Very respectful employees who were able to take care of my needs. There were some hiccups with the exam and I did have to redo the process, but I saw it as an opportunity to make sure that I got the correct prescription. Horrible customer service. Spent $280, went to return less than 12 hours later and only willing to give back $69.00...and of course no manager was available. They used to be good...would not recommend until they get better staff who do not roll their eyes at you! Update...in all fairness, boyfriend went back to try and deal with the situation, Tiffany handled everything and is trying to make it right...much better experience.

I made an appointment on-line and was able to attend it in on the date without any difficulty. The staff was intuitive and helpful. I was able to get an eye exam and my two pairs of glasses all in the same meeting. took only about an hour for my basic lenses. *Do know that the "buy one get one free" deal only pertains to frames. Not lenses.

My favorite frames broke today. I went into Stanton with a sinking heart. They could not be fixed. Eunice helped me and I am so happy. Glasses are are part of your face and so important to love them. Eunice understood my plight. She made the experience so positive! So helpful, incredibly nice and she really really made the worst situation a positive one and took care of me. Eye exam is a bit strange with the doctor not actually being there physically...but maybe it's not a big deal. The service for choosing and purchasing glasses was excellent though! I worked with Cheaman, who was very helpful and knowledgeable, and not at all overbearing. Definitely recommend Stanton on Diamond, ask for Cheaman.

Staff was friendly however I didn't get what I wanted. I was explained with the sale yes its 59.95 plus a free eye exam and all I had to do was buy a pair of sunglasses and it's free. I was not explained I would pay for the frame and lenses as additional. It's fine but I found a okay pair for now. Will be back for what I want but details could've been clearer. The up side is they had my lens so I got my glasses same day. Other than those things would have given 5 stars.

It's Monday, my glasses broke over the weekend and I leave for vacation soon. I needed an eye exam and new frames STAT! Glad I went to Stanton Optical. They got me in within 20 minutes of waiting and had the lenses in house so I got my glasses same day! Very happy with my overall experience and help from Eunice Kim.

I haven't had my eyes looked at in 7 years because I couldn't afford to pay for an exam with no insurance. I went in and the people were really nice. I was able to get the free exam with the 60$ for 2 pairs of glasses. I wish I had been able to get them sooner but other than that it was an over all good experiance!

I brought some non-Rx glasses in (that I admitted I didn’t purchase from them) to have the lenses swapped, expecting to drop them off and having a wait period to get them back. They did it on site at no charge, it took less than 10 mins. Everyone was super kind, it was nice and quiet with several employees on site ready to help guests. Will definitely come back!

I didn’t get the names of others. Suggestion...wear name tags. Those of us who want to thank you want to be sure we do by name. Can’t wait to get new glasses fitted in the next few weeks. We drove from Soldotna, hoping we could get in. Was not disappointed.

I made an appointment less than 10 minutes out, came in and was seen right away. Zaria was and is absolutely amazing. She was down to earth, personable, and very helpful. I was a little overwhelmed by the prices however I got a call later that evening saying they were unable to fill my prescription, and I was being referred to a local eye doctor (their eye doctor was remote and therefore unable to do standard procedures such as dilating the eyes). They do have a great selection of frames, even for someone with a head as big as mine. I am giving four stars simply for Zaria. I don’t feel right giving five stars when I was unable to utilize all their services.

Had an awesome experience! We were able to get in for an eye exam right away. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! And they did a great job of making our glasses and contacts as affordable as possible! By the time we finished ordering contacts, our glasses were already ready! William did an amazing job teaching my daughter how to put in and take out her contacts and made sure she was comfortable with the process before we left.

The staff and representatives at the front were great, attentive and knowledgeable. They were friendly and presentable. But the office was extremely dirty, the floors have not been swept/vacuum in what seemed like months and the waiting area chairs were dirty and some seats were broken ( looking at a lawsuit if someone gets hurt). For being a fairly new building, I would have expected the office to be more presentable as far as cleanliness. Our sons exam was done remotely, which bummed him out. It was difficult to hear the Dr. over the speaker since it would cut out every now and again. I had to repeat what I thought she said for my son to understand. We were told we would receive a phone call the next morning for pickup, but we didn’t so we called to check - the automated system couldn’t recognize my phone number so I had to wait to talk to a live person... she then was able to access my son’s chart and was able to see that they were ready. Your front office is the FIRST impression for anyone, cleanliness and fixed waiting chairs would be the improvements I suggest as a first time customer.

I was concerned about what I would be paying since I am without insurance, but they have a really wonderful promotion going. So I was able to get not one, but two spectacular frames and lenses at a great price. And to top it off my eye exam was free! Thank you Marie!!

I had just gone to my regular optometrist for an eye check and brought my glasses, which I’d recently rolled over on in bed and broken. My regular optometrist said “sorry, there’s nothing I can do to fix them” so I ordered a new pair. After I left I thought it’d be nice to have a backup pair. Dropped by Stanton in Anchorage off Dimond and while they didn’t have a frame that would fit, they proceeded to fix the pair I’d broken. I asked what I owed and they said “on the house” and wished me a good day. I was impressed they could/would step up when my regular optometrist didn’t and left feeling that’s somewhere I’ll be back.

Excellent customer service from start to finish, Products are top shelf. Best savings, hands down. I had one of my 3 pair purchased within 20 minutes! McKenzie is the BEST! Update- One of the pairs of glasses I got did not seem to fit well, I just did not care for them. I went back and McKenzie replaced them with an alternate pair with absolutely no problem and no expense to me. Another top shelf example of Stanton, 5 stars all the way.

After reading the reviews I can understand where people are coming from. I went in with an appointment and didn't get in for my exam for a good amount of time. All in all I spent around 2 and a half hours at the store. Luckily Mackenzie helped out and got things situated with my glass's. I was fairly happy when I left with what I got but will be going back to get my glass's soon and will be able to tell how they turned out. Was very pleased with the customer service and help that was provided just was a little on the long side of time spent there.

Ordered 2 pairs of glasses was told they would be in In 10 days got one pair In 14 days still waiting on the second and was told it would be another 14 days. Not helpful or truthful. Edit Called and they said would call back with an update never did. Edit Went into the store they are doing what they can to help. Nice people.

I would have rated five stars but I am actually a little shocked at the odd audacity of the staff. Originally, I had a pretty frustrating experience. My glasses were broken in a slightly traumatic manner and I was in desperate need for a new pair and was told I could get same-day frames/lenses through Stanton. The exam went great, the staff were helpful and tried to help me stay in my budget, but then I was told due to my prescription my glasses would take two weeks. Admittedly, I was brought to tears because of the sheer panic of not being able to do schoolwork with finals around the corner. I was then told that they could rush it to a week. Then I was told three days. They were able to match my old lenses with some frames and loaned me those until my glasses could be picked up. Less than two hours later I received a call that my glasses were done. How it went from being 2 weeks time to 2 hours is beyond me. The staff then offered to give me the loaned frames on the house for my trouble, something that I was amazed by as it was a very kind gesture. They said that they would put my new script in the loaned frames and call me when they were done. A week passed and I got the call that the frames were ready. I showed up to the store only to be told that "something went wrong" and the frames weren't available but not to worry, because they "picked something out for me" something that made my stomach drop. The frames they picked out for me are... awful. While I would like to be very grateful as they were free... I actually cried when I wore them. I was hoping to have a nice backup pair if anything were ever to happen to the lenses I picked - but this feels like a form of punishment. I thought maybe I was being ridiculous, as I am known for being picky, but all of my family members and friends that I have shown have agreed that these frames are awful. So thanks but.. no thanks. There should have been some additional steps taken to avoid this mishap. (Honestly who picks out glasses for a stranger? Its hard enough picking out glasses for yourself)

Was greeted and helped by Eunice and had a very relaxed time with the help of other staff as well. Staff seemed genuinely happy to work at Stanton which allowed for staff knowing all the answers to my questions. Covid protocol was very good and thoroughly followed. Overall a good time and also had very nice frames !

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY VISIT AT STANTON OPTICAL! 😍 There was a bit of mix up with what my option of frames were, but it got resolved by the next day. We were in Anchorage with our kids Christmas shopping, so I went ahead and made an appointment. 2 pair of glasses🤓 for $59 and a free eye exam, WOW. I Linda hadn't been to an eye doctor for MANY YEARS, if I had to make a guess, I would say 30+ years. We got into town, had lunch then went for my appointment. I got right in, had my eye exam and was done within 20-30 minutes. I needed glasses, so the lady took me over to the frames and pointed to the ones I could choose from. I thought it was whole area on the wall, because the advertisement said 1000's of frames to choose from. I choose my frames, got them rang up, to realize the frames I choose wasn't in the choices of the advertisement. The choices were just 2 rows of ugly plastic frames. I completely misunderstood, maybe because it wasn't explained correctly to me! Got it figured out, decided we would pay the extra for the frames because there wasn't any I liked in the 2 rows I was able to choose from. Left the store, went and did our shopping, then came back a few hours later. They got my glasses and fitted them to me, one of the pair had a broken frame, PRAISE JESUS, the lady noticed it. I took the one pair, which were reading glasses, then when we got to the van, my husband was looking over the order. He realized I had only reading glasses and they were costing me $300 and some odd dollars, for reading glasses. I immediately called them back, explained my issue and it was taken care off by the store manager McKenzie! She is AMAZING and very professional. She got my pair of glasses that needed the new frame and changed them to my every day glasses. She then gave me some discounts, to meet my needs, and said they would be shipped to me. I was HAPPY & VERY PLEASED with how McKenzie went the extra mile to give me COMPLETE customer satisfaction...She is the best. I would definitely go back to Stanton Optical for my future eye care...ABOVE AND BEYOND IS WHAT MCKENZIE DID! The minute I stepped through the door at Stanton Optical I was greeted by a handsome fellow who immediately helped me schedule an appointment for the following day. The wait for the exam was a little long, but when has it not been anywhere else. The optometrist was not aware that I was placed in the exam room, so I waited in there patiently for around 30 - 40 min. I felt like he rushed through the exam a little when he finally noticed me sitting down through the door way. The exam in total was a little pricey being at $89.00. So for the exam portion of my time at Stanton I would rate it a 2 or 3 out of 5 stars. I wasn't very impressed UNTIL I went into the front room with all the glasses. The help there was exceptional! I am a very indecisive person, especially for a pair of glasses that will be with me everyday. Not to mention it's a little hard to find something you like when you can't see clearly. Katie and Robert were so unbelievably patient with me, and helped me pick out 3 pairs at a very affordable price! Their service was remarkable and made me feel very comfortable to pick out glasses at my own speed (very slowly). Unfortunately their machine to make the glasses broke down so I won't be getting my glasses for a little while. Which is very unfortunate, but Robert credited me $50.00 for the hassle to put to future glasses.. or maybe even contacts. Which was very kind and generous of him. I may not be going back for any exams, but I will go back for the glasses and amazing customer care.

My visit was fabulous. I was seen immediately at my appointment time, and the latest in technological equipment was used to perform a full examination of my eyes. I was especially impressed with Marie, who spent an hour looking over hundreds of frames to help narrow down and determine how my likes aligned with what looked good against my face. Her knowledge of the frame and lens types is impressive, as well as how she is able to apply each discount to ensure that I receive the most accommodating price package for my needs. Marie has an energy and charisma that is rarely found in sales, and even less so in the medical science field of eye care. She is a welcome breath of fresh air to the otherwise intimidating process of choosing glasses, and I would highly recommend a visit. On site lens production is a huge benefit, with less than a 30 minute wait time in my case.

I have no complaints about the quality of my glasses or the eye exam, which was very professional and courteous. My complaints center more around the sales and administrative staff. When I came to check in, I asked if my insurance was accepted and handed over my card. The girl looked at it and said, "Is this even a type of eye insurance?" which I thought was weird. Then when I'd completed the exam and went out to the floor the sales staff was super aggressive and I had to tell them each individually that I was fine to look on my own. One guy even told me that I should have some help because they could tell me what looked good on me. Gosh, thanks.... Finally, after a few weeks, my awful dog chewed up both pairs of glasses because she's the worst. When I called to ask how much repairs would be, the guy on the phone said that I hadn't purchased the hard coat so the lenses wouldn't be covered. I specifically remember purchasing the hard coat just in case but the guy was adamant that I hadn't. So I put it off until last week, when I went in anyway to see how much the repairs would be, and the girl that helped me told me I had purchased the hard coat and the repairs would be reasonable. However while she was trying to help me, another associate came up and loudly whispered that the girl helping me was needed in the bathroom to kill a spider, and the girl actually left me to go take care of it. Bottom line, the staff here appears to be high school students or immature adults and there are no actual adults present to supervise them, so they behave like kids. The gentleman who did my eye exam was great though, and I'm happy with the frames, so I guess that's what really matters.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had getting glasses! I live in Valdez, AK which is a 5 hour drive from Anchorage. I’m originally from Portland, OR but have lived in Alaska for 5 years. I was overdue for contacts and an exam so I drove to Anchorage as we do not have an optometrist in Valdez. Mackenzie helped me throughout the whole process and she was such a wonderful person to work with and I felt an instant connection with her! She was actually SO wonderful that my boyfriend AND my best friend got new glasses as well! I'm from Fairbanks so I normally would go to an eye clinic there, but since I'm here for a little while I figured I'd go check this place out. I was not disappointed in the slightest! The service was top notch, the exam was quick and easy, the optometrist was a passionate individual who very obviously knew his craft, and the selection and pricing were both very very good. Appointments available on Sunday. You should expect a telematics eye exam. It's not the up close and personal, minty chewing gum, visit you are used to. The prices are low because there doesn't have to be a full on Doctor there. My prescription is beautiful. I had no idea it was possible to have mid range reading glasses. There were plenty of frames, but I only need reading, so the cheaper end was great. They accept many insurances, but the special prices were good enough I didnt feel inclined to use mine. I see some negative reviews, but a lot of them seem to stem from people not asking enough questions. The price explanations were a bit confusing. Special prices generally seem to include the lowest price frames.

When I walked in, the manager hit me with typical "let me make you a deal" salesmanship, which I habitually blew off. After consulting with the staff, the glasses were more than I could afford, so I got ready to leave, but then remembered what the manager told me about "making a deal." It turned out not to be typical trash talk. I told him I didn't really need two pairs of glasses -- could he lower the price for just one? I had a bad experience turned great! only because I went in for a walk in eye exam and then got sent home because their system was down and they didn’t know how long it was going to be to get it back up and running, I went home and waited for about an hour, I called and scheduled an eye exam in the same day to reserve my spot Incase the systems came back up. I went back at my scheduled time and unfortunately they were having technical difficulties just with my chart for some reason, they started to see other people before me while I waited 2 hours for them to resolve the issue. The good news is that by the time they fixed it and I was ready to check out, my 2 pairs would have been 180 bucks and the lady Tierra gave them to me 50% off for the inconvenience and I told her that she had made a bad experience good by doing that for me and I thanked her for working vigorously to figure out why my chart was not pulling up when it was my time for my exam. Pricing was awesome. They are running a 2 for one for folks without insurance. They offered me 60 percent off a second pair of glasses for a second pair if i paid the copay on the first pair and the eye exam. I walked out paying $39 for an exam $28 glasses 1 and $67 for a pair of sunglasses. Total was like $140 . I have had this insurance for years and i have always paid more for just 1 pair of glasses. i got a new prescription new glasses and new sunglasses for less than the private practice doctor charged me for glasses

I like that you can make appointments online and at the very last minute. It was interesting to have the exam with a doctor that wasn't in the room, but on a webcam. It works. They have decent prices on glasses and a fairly good selection of frames.

Getting the exam and picking glasses went fine. Sitting for almost half an hour before someone acknowledges you is unacceptable. I wasn't able to pick my glasses up yet because of the wait and me having limited time. We'll see soon.
