This is my second time returning to Stanton Optical, where I had the pleasure to be assisted by Alex Sanchez who came in from San Diego. His service was phenomenal and I left happier with new glasses and my old ones fixed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good selection and great service!

What a great experience! I am a veteran and my glasses are provided by the VA, but I wanted a new pair of safety glasses which the VA does not provide. My wife had an eye exam and purchased two pair of glasses at this store, and was really impressed with the service and speed and professionalism of all the staff. Today I was assisted by Joshua, who listened carefully to what I wanted and had excellent recommendations for safety frames and specialty lens. Furthermore Joshua saw my wife's name in the computer system and was able to extend a discount which saved me hundreds of dollars on my prescription! Good deal! When I need more out of VA care, I will certainly return for the excellent service!

Definitely recommend Stanton optical if you are looking for new glasses or eye exam. I went in looking for 2 pairs of glasses and already had my eye exam done somewhere else. Stanton was a little busy but was still greates right away apon entering the store. With 10 mins the sales manager Joshua was able to assist me. He was very friendly with great customer service. He explained every step including what the numbers on my prescription actually ment. Once I had all the extras added to my glasses Joshua began to look and found a better deal online. Which he priced matched and saved me.close to $400. I am grateful for all of Joshua's help and information. I highly recommend Stanton optical for everyone and I definitely will return myself.

UPDATED!!! Please Read!! Review Part 1: Please be on the lookout for part two which I will post once I recieve my glasses and finalize payment. Ok, jumping in! Showed up and they were very busy but friendly, got signed in and an appointment ASAP! I needed an eye exam and two pairs of new glasses. Exam went great and then was helped one on one by an associate, Jennifer, who was incredibly helpful in helping locate frames my style aswell as to help make sure I was in my price range. Friendly, professional, and I left with a great deal and feeling great! Will post again when my glasses come in, (due to serious impairment my glasses usually take two weeks from anywhere as they are a very custom job.) I’ll let the Google world know how the final product fairs, but so far I can say service and price were excellent! Thank you Jennifer! Review Part 2: Alright! Glasses arrived! Jennifer, again saves the day! She called me when my glasses came in and warned me the automatic system can be a bit delayed. Sure enough the auto called me 4 whole days later. That’s four more days I would have been waiting without her above and beyond customer service! So I swung by after work to pick them up! I waited only a brief minute so I could deal with Jen as she had helped me previously. She brings me the glasses and has me try them on, check vision, inspect them etc... They’re amazing. I have great vision, the prescription is perfect despite my concern with the Skyped optometrist. The frames are in perfect condition. One doesn’t fit quite right, so she helped me to adjust them for a perfect fit. I then paid my remaining balance, with no surprise fees, and happily went on my way! It is important to note I have been wearing these frames for a bit over a week now and they handled my grabby one year old, my roughhousing dog, and day to day normality. Overall I am incredibly happy with the price, service, and quality. Three cheers for Stanton, and three for Jennifer, who helped me above and beyond every step of the way. Attached is a couple pictures to prove I am not an elaborate bot! Highly Recommend!

I have been getting my glasses and my kids’ glasses here for years, and I have never had an issue. Get the protection plan! It is 100% worth it! There was one summer where both of my boys kept breaking their glasses - stepped on them, popped the lenses out and cracked them, bent them beyond being able to bend them back, broke pieces off - and we kept having to replace them. Stanton always has them ready quickly and the protection plan saved us a ton!

They had my lenses in stock so I was able to leave with my glasses the same day, and even though I didn’t have insurance, it wasn’t too expensive (comparatively, it was still almost $400 because of my incredibly high prescription) and ended up with two really cute pairs.

Excellent 👍 experience at Stanton Optical. Friendly staff walked us through entire process from filling out the forms to picking out frames. We were able to get in and out in about 45 min. Picking out the frames took longer than the actual eye exam! I was very impressed that the doctors performing the eye exam were virtual. I felt completely at ease knowing I wasn't exposing myself with COVID issues. Will definitely visit Stanton Optical again, especially this location. Very close to home and well worth the visit. Went to Stanton Optical on Corrales yesterday. On a Saturday there was one tech on duty Neil. The store was filled and Neil was stressed. Instead of servicing those in order he wanted to get the quick issues out of the way first. After one and a half hours of being in the store I refused to have anyone go infront of me again. He then refused to service me and was so rude. The store manager came out and tried to fix my glasses and was polite. Please have more staff on duty on peak days or hours along with customer service training.

This was seriously the BEST eyeglass experience I've ever had in all my years of wearing glasses. The staff was excellent! Dr. Adams and her assistant were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! Super efficient but not in a rushed feeling kind of way like I've experienced at other eye exam spots around town. My time with the employees at the frame side was just as pleasant. Stephan is one of the most amazing employees at this store. He is very helpful and has a good sense of humor! However this review was bumped down a few stars because of another employee, Dino. I came and spent $522 on glasses Monday May 17,2021. We came the next Tuesday to get my grandma her eye exam done and upon waking in I am told that my task trained service dog isn’t allowed in the exam area by Dino, which happens to be the assistant store manager. This is illegal under federal law. My service dog is allowed anywhere I am and those rights are protected by the Americans with Disabilities act, which is a federal law. I had to report this place to the DOJ. Don’t come here if you have a service dog because you will be turned away. What I find funny is that they allowed a pet dog in without issue but my highly trained service dog wasn’t allowed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great experience. Because of COVID 19 it’s been hard trying to find a place to get my vision checked. All the places that accept my insurance had no appts available for several months. Great place to get an eye exam and very reasonable would have prefer to have dealt with an optometrist in person during the eye exam instead of someone on a TV screen but at least that person was nice as well. I definitely suggest this place to anyone who needs an eye exam. While I was there someone came in not wearing a mask I was very impressed with how the manager handled the guy and the woman that was with him. She was nice and even offered to help the guy as long as he stood outside since he didn't have a mask. The guy was very rude to the manager but the whole time the manager stayed nice and told him as long as he goes outside she will be more than happy to go out when its his turn and help him with picking up his glasses.

I went in for a glasses and contacts exam and had a trial pair of contacts and 2 pairs of glasses by the time I left. Their lab onsite is fast! I noticed an issue with the prescription for my left eye and went back, they redid my eye exam and ended up replacing both lenses in both pairs of glasses since they found a change in both eyes, again so fast I was surprised. Their customer service was amazing and they fixed my issues at no charge. Even if they are a bit more expensive than other places, I would gladly go back just for the care and service! But I felt their costs were comparable to other places I have been. The manager is wonderful as were all the associates that helped me. The only issue I felt they have is the virtual docs that do the exams. That will no longer be an issue as of June 1.

Follow up 9/30/2018 Spoke with Stanton corporate and they came through on this for me. They made things right and brought good customer service. When I went to pick the glasses up, I did have to wait a little bit due to the store being busy. The customer service was great. I'm not too sure if they do walk ins or if they were behind on their appointments but I did have to wait 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I didn't mind that too much because I spent most of the time looking at glasses. I knew it wasn't going to be as advertised because I didn't want cheap frames but still felt it was too pricey so be ready to pay more than the 59.99. I ended paying 300 for 2 pair of glasses which I don't think is terrible without insurance but definently not what was advertised. I'm a college student on a tight budget and just moved to the area so I was looking for a new eye care/vision place, Stanton Optical was a win for me. And the staff was phenomenon. They helped me with all the questions I had. I only came in to ask some questions, but they had such a great deal for glasses and contacts I went forward with it. I was in and out in about an hour and a half. I picked out new glasses and had an exam done for glasses and contacts lenses. The doctor was great too, his name was Dr.Chad. UPDATE: I was overcharged by one of the staff when I told her I only wanted to do an eye exam instead of purchasing my glasses here. This person confidently said that it was $101.65 for the eye exam, only for me to find out after I go home to do a quick research that it was only $45. I called this branch to let them know what had happened only for me to be told that I needed to file a formal complaint and I was put on hold for a long time before deciding to hang up because I was wasting my time. Ultimately it wasn’t this branch that helped me out with my predicament. I believe it was corporate that called this location after I had posted a review on Google. Of course, I emailed their Customer Service line as well because I wanted to make sure this gets resolved. Two of the staff members ended up calling me after a couple of hours to help me with the overcharging issue and I eventually received my refund for the difference. If you are looking for a Stanton Optical, please look elsewhere. It doesn’t look good when you get overcharged for something as basic as an eye exam which all staff members should know the price of.

I was told to come here by my sister who got her glasses there a few weeks before. She told me they had a positive energy with their customers. They were all a little nervous bc of a nasty customer but they kept their composure with all the other customers. The girls were very friendly and got me in and out as quick as they could! Gave me advice on which frames looked best on me and everything! Maria helped me out and she was one of the nicest and most helpful person I've met. I would recommend going to anyone!

I was helped by many great people, but Maria helped me the most. She was able to set me up with great warranties and price options and overall just made it a great experience. 11/10 would reccomend to anyone who needs eyecare help, without crazy costs and over charging.

I went to Stanton because I had broke my glasses and the insurance wouldn't cover a new pair and they are one of the only places in Albuquerque who does in house glasses. The staff was really nice and understand about the situation. They helped me pick out one pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses and even made sure I understood all there warranties in full incase my glasses broke again. I haven't had a problem with the glasses so when it came time to get my eyes checked again I went over to Stanton to use my insurance to get a pair of glasses. The eye doctor was nice and did a great job. In the glasses area I was helped by a manager he was a little over the top but he was nice and helpful and made sure all my needs were met.

5 stars to Eric who helped me! He was patient and persistent with figuring out my insurance and helped make a corporate place feel welcoming. He was helpful even when manageament was not and often flat out ignored my or his questions. 3 starts overall. It was a little weird doing the exam over a video call, but welcome to 2018 I suppose. I liked how I got my glasses in 10 mins. The rest of the staff was standoffish though.

Walked in on a Friday night without an appointment and was greeted by Kelly. Told her I needed new pads and an adjustment for my glasses. She told me no problem, took my glasses and put the new pads on and made the adjustments to my glasses in about 5 minutes. No charge !!! Great customer service!!! Kelly rocks !!!

This was the first time I went to Stanton Optical. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only draw back was there was not enough of them! The wait times were long due to only having one staff member at the front desk multitasking many tasks, plus answering the phone calls.

I really enjoyed this place. They were very patient with my picky self. Customer service was excellent, especially the manager Mannie. I enjoy the huge selection they have for frames. I recommend over any other eyes glass place in town. Also affordable. But note its even though its advertised as a free eye exam be aware that you still have to pay $45 for the doctors time. Which is cheaper than any other exam. Walmart charges about $60.

I had a wonderful experience with Staton Optical Corrales location. All staff I encountered were extremely helpful, courteous, and very knowledgeable at their job. My nervous toddler was getting glasses for the first time and employees Jennifer and Ivan went above and beyond to make my child comfortable and make our appointment as smooth and as quick as possible. No matter how busy these two employees were they made sure to answer all my questions and constantly checked to see if we were okay. I would highly recommend Staton Optical for your optical needs. I walked in to Stanton Optical (In Corrales) and I was immediately greeted by a tech (Maria), she answered all my questions and concerns without trying to sell me on products/services I didn't need. I really enjoy the customer service here the employees are top notch, I have a major gripe against one employee in the scheduling department. He had a thick accent so I couldn't understand his name but I called and asked for a copy of my prescription and he said that it's not the right department and he'd get me transferred. Great, I'm okay with that, front desk didn't answer and I was hung up on, in sure it wasn't their fault they might've been busy. So I called the stanton optical line again and somehow ended up talking to the same guy only this time he was disgruntled and moaned and groaned when I asked again to be transferred. He treated me VERY disrespectfully, i felt like an inconvenience to him. If it wasn't for the speedy service other excellent employees and the price of service I'd never shop here again. You guys have a great company but a few bad apples with bad attitudes for no reason have no place there. I tried to air a grievance on the corporate end but since I didn't get his name unfortunately nothing could be done, which wasn't. The woman on the phones fault, she apologized and treated me with the utmost respect and even offered a discount on my next visit which was unexpected. This rating would be a 5-5 if he hadn't left a bad taste in my mouth.

My husband and daughter had an eye exam and glasses just a couple days prior to me having and appointment and getting an eye exam and reading glasses. I didn't realize the importance of needing reading glasses with a stigmatism versus having a cheap pair from the dollar store. Your eyesight can actually get worse. I was treated with respect from the moment I walked in the door and returned to pick up my glasses the next day (I was there at closing, they couldn't be made before I left). Everyone who works in this store is very polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience!!! I've worn glasses since I was a toddler and truly despise the chore of getting new ones! I ONLY get them when literally desperate! Today I was greeted at the door by Geena with a friendly smile that I couldn't ignore!! I DIDN'T do a thing!!! She asked me some questions and help me look for different frames making it a fun rather than torturous experience!! I had my vision checked and the Doctor was so wonderful!!! Not only was she professional but friendly and kind! I hadn't been able to wear contacts in years but she worked with me and I have new contacts too! We celebrated with a hug I was so thrilled! When I came out I was again met by Geena and joined by Jonathan! What fun we had! YES fun! The one who hates getting glasses!! The 3 of us went through the collection of frames we had narrowed it down to and tried them back on! I ultimately got 2 pairs! For the first time in my life I actually enjoyed getting glasses!!! I don't think there's a better compliment!!! Having been bullied as a kid because of my glasses this has NEVER been a pleasure however today thanks to Geena and Jonathan it's a new day!!!
