Yall I had the BEST experience!! Not only was the price very affordable and less than I was anticipating. Tabby and Crystal were so warm, friendly and comforting because I was excited but also very nervous. They made me laugh so much and were upfront and honest about pricing and aftercare of the procedure. Dr. Ballard was so amazing!!! He literally walks you through every part of the procedure and is so reassuring and calming. Not to mention the procedure only took about 10 to 15 minutes(if that). I'm loving my 20/20 vision and it makes me so happy this process went so smoothly! 10/10 definitely recommend!!! ☺️

Very disappointed. I was supposed to have surgery scheduled next week which I was extremely excited for because I wanted it to be done asap. Paying cash upfront ready to go. I was told to come in today 3/18/22 to have images of my eyes redone because the initial ones were not good enough because my eyelid was in the way. I arrive at my appointment at 4:42pm, office closed, door locked, lights out. Sign on the door says they close at 5:00pm on Fridays but nobody was there. Very upsetting having to leave work early and drive from downtown Norfolk just to arrive to a closed office. A big waste of my time, will definitely be going somewhere else for consultation. The staff was really friendly but it doesn't make up for the lack of communication and scheduling. I'm updating my review from a 1 to a 3. The manger called and apologized for the inconvenience of my appointment. Very kind and generous, I certainly appreciated the follow up call.

My experience here was absolutely amazing. The staff made me feel welcome (especially Crystal) and I always had a great time at my appointments. The procedure went extremely smooth and the surgeon was professional and quick, talking me through the procedure and keeping me calm. I'm sad that I don't have a reason to go back!

I had such an awesome experience at Lasik Vision Institute Virginia Beach. Everything was so quick and easy. I heard about them from an ad on the radio, immediately went online to book my consultation and a couple days later someone called to confirm the appointment. My consultation was with Crystal on a Friday (and Christina helped as well!) and she scheduled me for surgery on the upcoming Tuesday. So fast! I was told that the surgery would be about 5-10 minutes in each eye but I was so comfortable and assured that it seemed like 3 minutes in each eye. I felt confident and informed about what to expect post-op. The next day follow up appointment went well and I now have 20/20 vision! Thank you to everyone at LVI Virginia Beach. I 100% recommend everyone to go to them!

This is definitely the best place to go! The staff is really friendly, funny and made me feel comfortable about the procedure. The surgery was the easy and quick. After getting my right eye done I literally asked the doctor “Is that all??” After years of being scared to get it done, I wish I would have gotten it sooner. It’s been over 3 months since I had my surgery in both eyes. I wanted to wait to see how I would heal up. I had an awesome experience at the Lasik Vision Institute in VB (at Lynnhaven). Crystal was great and really put me at ease with her positive attitude and friendly personality. Dr Roberts was fantastic and the overall experience was great. There were some healing hurdles. For one week, my eyes got super dry, like a desert, and I was using eye drops like crazy. But I don’t even require them anymore at all. Another week, I had bad eye strain and my eyes were twitching a lot. However that has resolved 100% and all is great! It’s awesome not having to wear glasses or contacts!!

I had such a great experience with LVI.Prior to selecting, LVI I did do research and read many of the comments about the communication issues that occurred in the past and that was not my experience at all. Crystal and staff made the process so easy. I also did a consultation with Virginia Eye Consultants and while the experience was definitely a good one as the staff was very thorough and attentive, I ended up going with LVI because I felt like they gave me a realistic picture of what to ecpect post opp. Virginia Eye Consultants (VEC) painted a picture of a pain-free procedure (which was accurate) with minor discomfort post opp (for me not accurate). Their brochure indicates " Some patients do experience mild discomfort during the first 12 to 24 hours, but this is typically just a minor annoyance, usually described as a dirty contact lense sensation." DR. Roberts with LVI was very upfront about the discomfort and for some, real pain that could occur post opp. My experience matched what Dr. Roberts shared vs a mild annoyance. I had burning, eye watering in addition to what VEC described. I am not at all saying not to go to VEC because everyone was very nice, the facility was beautiful and I would have been very comfortable there as their customer service was very impressive, I'm just sharing what made me choose one over the other. I will say for VEC, it was nice to meet your surgeon prior to the operation day but Dr. Roberts was amazing-great bedside manner, answered all my questions and walked me through each part of the surgery as it was happening. He and the staff made me feel very comfortable in somewhat of an uncomfortable situation. Another determining factor was cost. LVI was almost $400 cheaper and I felt like I recieved 5 star service where it really mattered. Overall, I am beyond pleased with my results. I had my postopp appointment today (12/12/22) and my vision is already better than 20/20 and I've still got some healing to go. Great experience and I would definitely recommend LVI. I'm super excited about the days to come!

Went in for a consultation on a Thursday, surgery on Saturday, and 20/20 vision on Monday. Everything was awesome and everyone there is super friendly and attentive. If you are looking for lasik, def don’t go anywhere without checking out the LIV first.

Everything from start to finish was great. I went for a consult and was scheduled for surgery 10 days later. It's been 10 days since my surgery, and I can 100% say I have no regrets. Every single day, multiple times a day, I look around and realize that I can see details I never knew existed. The other morning when I opened my eyes, I thought I fell asleep with my contacts in and then teared up when I remembered I don't need them anymore. The only problem I have now is what to do with the 30 years' worth of glasses I've felt the need to hold onto! If you're on the fence, do it. You won't regret it!

Great experience and staff was very attentive to all my questions, concerns and general apprehension to eye surgery. I just had my 4 day follow up and I’ve gone from -4 with a -2 astigmatism to 20/15. Only regret is not doing this sooner. Everything about this process was incredible from start to finish. I wish I would have gotten lasik years ago. Called for a consultation in the morning and got an appointment that afternoon. No waiting, got seen immediately. Surgery was booked for that same weekend. The surgery took 30 mins at the most with check in and a quick video. Then I was on my way home with some eye drops. The first day was the worst once the pain medication wore off but I took some zzquil which they recommended, slept most the day away and the next day I was fine. Back to work on Monday with no issues!! No dryness, no blurriness. No more foggy glasses or dry contacts. I would recommend to anyone and everyone 1000%

People always say procedures like this are life changing, and for me it most definitely was! Being 38 almost 39 I’ve had glasses since 3rd grade and contacts since 14. After my procedure yesterday 12/22/2021 I could tell a drastic change, fast forward to my follow up today 12/23/2021 and all I can say is WOW! I went to the initial consultation and saw they walk in their own integrity and are very nice and kind to all the patients there with me that day. I was really taken aback to hear the name dropping of the surgeons who do the surgery! Real exceptional and quite great surgeons in their field. I have full confidence in the staff and Dr’s moving forward. Because I’m going on a ship for 6 months, I felt it best to wait until I return to have the surgery and even a third opinion I got independently showed exactly what they did, so I can say with with confidence they can be trusted and that they have been verified for accuracy by another independent optometrist as to their findings. At first I was very nervous, but now that my procedure is finished, im happy I decided to go through with it. I could tell day one that the surgery had worked and by day two I was seeing 20 20 despite some slight blurriness and light sensitivity that I understand is normal and will fade within the next couple of weeks. A professional staff that reassured me along the way coupled with real results and fair pricing has made me into a very satisfied customer. The few hours of discomfort after the surgery are well worth it in my opinion.

They broke down the different services and the pros and cons of them. Very transparent company! Concerning COVID they were taking great precautions, aside from the 2 women who were conducting my consult I didn’t even run into anyone else. My first interaction ended a little frustrating due to a scheduling error. But, once Christine reached out, it flipped the whole experience! I had the consult, and the surgery the same day! Once I met Ashley and Christine, and they diligently made sure I would be a good candidate answering all my questions thoroughly, we reviewed the financial side and the rest was history. The environment in this office will literally get you excited to have the procedure and reap the benefits! My vision is 20/15 with both eyes and no glasses/contacts/blurred vision in the foreseeable future. The staff here are wonderful! They took great care of me during my surgery. I am finally able to function without glasses or contacts for the first time in my life. It's an amazing feeling. I do wish they were more up front about the pricing structure and what you are paying for certain pieces. I was given a package price which included an extra discount for booking on a day they needed more people. However; when I inquired about the cost of the lifetime plan and asked to remove it (we move a lot, the chances are slim I will be able to use it if needed), and was told the price I asked to remove it. She didn't tell me I would lose my other package discounts and the total actual price of the insurance in the package with the discounts was only $500. That was actually the amount I was willing to pay for the coverage, so by not being upfront they lost themselves a sale on that. Apparently other people were told they could not remove it from their packages at all. In a business where most if not all people are paying out of pocket for a service, the fees and pricing structure should be clearer and more up front. In the end though I would do it again. However, I would take more time in the payment office. It's a large amount of money (at least with my bad eyes!!) and I would have added the insurance for only $500 if they had been clearer about what was being taken away when you separated things. The surgery experience was wonderful though. It only took 10 minutes. It wasn't painful at all, but it was slightly uncomfortable. If I had to do it again I would see if they would give me something for nerves on the day of surgery. I think the nerves were the worst part of it. All of the follow up care has been great, and I love being able to see again!!

They even took me a few minutes early to help suit my schedule. The examination itself was quite thorough. My eyes are a bit tricky but they took the time to find just the right combination. An exceptionally amazing experience! The entire staff was extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. The great part about my experience is that some of the staff members have also had the procedure done and were able to share with me realistic expectations that eased my anxiety about pursuing the surgery. The appointments prior to the surgery to determine if I was a good candidate were quick and painless. Plan to spend about 2 hours on the day of the procedure, but the actual surgery literally took about 10 minutes. And yes, I could see right after the surgeon was done. I chose to have lasik surgery that corrected both my nearsightedness and farsightedness. For the first time in over 40 years I can actually see the alarm clock when I wake up! I am beyond pleased with the results and would recommend the procedure to anyone ready to throw away those glasses and contact lenses. 🚫👓

My quality of life has almost tripled! No more fogging glasses or searching for them in the mornings, no more contacts constantly drying out or wasting extra money on them! BEST investment in yourself you can ever make. I couldn’t see anything further than about 2 inches in front of my face without my contacts or glasses. I lost my vision when I was about 7 years old. I’m about to be 24 now and I just got lasik here yesterday afternoon. Only a few hours after the surgery I could see really well. As of this morning, I have 20/20 vision in both eyes. No side effects at all. This is absolutely life changing and I highly recommend it to everyone. I was super nervous, but the about 8 minutes you spend in the surgery room will change your life forever.

The staff was overall very pleasant, professional, and helpful from the office manager to the aids. They do a great job of answering any questions/concerns in a timely manner. Similar to other reviews, the wait time, reminder calls, and heavy promotion of the insurance plan were my only issues. The surgeon and supporting staff were competent and qualified. However, if you're the type of person who is bothered by an eyelash in your eye, I would not recommend Lasik as the surgery itself can be uncomfortable.

These people were so friendly. They got me quick financing and helped me with my PRK surgery and recovery. I would definitely recommend them. My surgery was performed by Dr. Brusco, a man who seems very comfortable with his profession. I felt confident he would do the job properly. He did, and now I have 20:15 vision and my astigmatism has been corrected. UPDATE: 2yrs later and my vision is still 20:15. No pain, no issues, no regrets whatsoever. I'm still super happy to be able to see better than anyone else I know and to be able to just wake up and see.

Pricing is much higher than publicized. I knew it would be higher than the $220 promotion however I didn’t expect the 5k price tag for my relatively low prescription eyes with slight stigmatism. They seemed very knowledgeable and kind but it was still a shock. Thankfully they were able to help my price down with some promotions and flexibility so in the end I am excited to go through with the procedure.

It's a miracle to be able to see! The people who work here are so nice, and caring. I love the atmosphere of the place, and how kind everyone is. The only critique that I have, is the difficult scheduling. It was hard to find a good date for appointments because of my busy schedule and their very limited availability. From Patient Chelsey- I had been considering vision correction surgery for years. I came in for a free consultation at the end of January and booked my surgery for a week later on February 6th. From the first day the staff was personable and an all around pleasure to do business with. Jeanette and the rest of the staff always greeted me with kindness and professionalism. Ashley was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I actually enjoyed my time at the Vision Center. Carleen was exceptionally attentive and helpful to me through every step of the process and I honestly enjoyed meeting her. I’ll tell you what I did a lot of research prior to getting the Lasix surgery done. I own a business and god for bed anything would go wrong that would cost me my livelihood. I found a Groupon for custom lasik on both eyes for the Lasik vision Institute and the reviews were very good so I went in for my free consultation. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and offered me coffee or water and put on an informational movie about Lasik. Breanna was great she got the process started with eye measurements and questions. Then the doctor did a typical eye exam and went over my results from the measurements and images they took. After letting me know I was eligible for lasik I met with Belinda who went over all the options and add ins and payments. I opted to just go with what was covered in the Groupon and I felt no pressure to buy anything further. My surgery was scheduled for one week after my consultation. Belinda was able to squeeze me in first at 10 am as long as I came in at 9 to redo the measurements! Measure twice cut once lol. I was then taken to the patient lounge where I picked a movie and had a snack! A few more people trickled in for their surgery as well and we all had a good time talking before surgery. We then were Les to the prep room where our nurse cleaned our eyelids and put numbing drops in. We got all of our questions answered and then it was time to go into the operation room. Dr Brusco was great he was so personable he talked me through the procedure step by step let me know what things would feel like and look like. After the surgery I got a goodie bag with goggles and sunglasses and eye drops. It’s the next day and I went in for my checkup and everything looks great my eyes have not been irritated or dry at all and I can see great. Everything went great with my lasik procedure! The doctor doing it was great, directing me what to do and talking me through my nerves of not knowing what to expect from the new experience. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I felt like I had to ask questions before the procedure and there is a lot that I think they should have automatically walked me through without me having to ask. They give you paperwork to review and if you don't read everything you may agree to something you don't want. For example, I decided I didn't think the lifetime warranty was worth it and on the day of surgery they just handed me the agreement for it and asked me to sign without asking if I wanted it first; I had to tell her I didn't want it and then she switched it with the waiver paperwork. Thats $1000 added to the price if I was signing stuff blindly. Having a procedure like this you should always do yout research anyway but if you don't they won't necessarily tell you verbally everything you should know. Other than that everyone was very friendly and I was able to get in and out fast (but not rushed).

Alright, now that I've completed my final post-op appointment, let me tell you about my experience with the Lasik Institute in Virginia Beach. First appointment was pretty simple: They sat me down, looked at my eyes, decided what my prescription parameters were and explained everything I wanted to know. Signed the dotted line and we set up the date for my evaluation. 2nd appointment: It took a lot longer, because this was late December (everyone wanting to start the year with new eyesight), and there were a LOT of machines involved. They looked at my eyes through several different machines and decided that I could opt for the procedure that day if I chose. So, we agreed, signed up, and were told to come back later that day for the operation. 3rd appointment: The procedure! Honestly, the prep for the procedure took longer than the laser operation. It was actually kind of funny. They had me lay back on this comfortable bed/bench, they numbed my eyes with drops, and used a device to hold my eye open so I wouldn't blink. It didn't hurt, and they made sure I was comfortable before proceeding with my operation. Then, they slid the laser machine into place and told me to watch the green light. Easy as pie, and while I could feel the laser procedure, it wasn't painful or uncomfortable. It felt like a warm, gentle breeze blowing on my eye and it was over in seconds. Then, they did the same thing with the other eye. Immediately after the procedure, I was given a prescription and aftercare instructions to follow to the letter. I got my medicines filled at a local pharmacy and went home. The aftercare is a long list of instructions, a steroid treatment to speed healing and prevent infections, a pain suppressant (because eyes will be mildly sore and your brain will be tired from processing all the new details it can see), and a sterile eye drops regimen (DO NOT SKIP THESE!!!). The regimen is long, and you must be religious about wearing sunglasses during the healing process! I liked the free sunglasses they gave me in my aftercare instruction kit, and if I hadn't broken them two weeks ago, I would still wear them! Now, after the procedure, I have had to go in again for a series of post op examinations over the past six months. These are meant to determine how well my eyes were healing and if further medications would be necessary, as well as tracking my new visual acuity. Every time I went in, I was greeted and seen to within minutes. They would look at my eyes, ask if I was following my aftercare regimen, and ask if I was having any symptoms or irritations. The final result: After 17 years of glasses, my final prescription being -3.50 on my right eye, -3.75 and astigmatism on my left eye, the expense of paying for new glasses and contacts, not to mention the frustrating and time-consuming maintenance of them... My vision is now 20/15 (darn near perfect), no symptoms of dry eye, my eyes have healed perfectly, and I'm only kicking myself that I didn't get this procedure sooner! The staff at the Lasik Institute in Virginia Beach are courteous, professional, and friendly. They will answer your questions, they will make you comfortable, and they will make sure you have all the information you need to decide if Lasik is right for you! Thank you, Lasik Institute!

I’ve been meaning to get LASIK and I finally did it! I started off with the consultation and scheduled my procedure for the following week. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly which helped a ton since I was soo nervous. It literally took a couple of minutes. I got home and relaxed and slept until the next morning. Aside from some minor discomfort I was fine. Did my follow up 2 days later and so far my vision is perfect, love my results!
