I went to Dr. Kwitko in 2006 for a similar problem with droopy eyelids. Both times he was very professional and very honest about the surgery that I was facing. Before and after the surgery he continued to make me feel very comfortable and secure in what I needed to do. I'm very pleased with the result and thankful that he was there for me once again.

Dr. Kwitko is a brilliant doctor. He treated my dry, sore eyes, puffy inflammation, heavy upper lids, with ptosis. Always swollen, with constant discomfort. I had two sets of surgeries. It’s been a month since my second procedure, and what a difference! It’s just incredible. I don’t leave too many reviews, but my eyes feel and look so much better, I can’t thank him enough. Dr. Kwitko is undoubtedly the best. Amazing staff as well, at his office and surgical center. Overall a very smooth, top-notch, friendly experience. Thank you Dr. Kwitko!!!!!!

Initially went to Dr.Kwitko several years ago for tear duct surgery and was absolutely amazed at the results.I had the same surgery on my other eye several years before with a doctor in Clearwater and was very painful with notable scarring. Since then, I've had other procedures with Dr. Kwitko and am thrilled with the outcome. Dr. Kwitko does not always have a warm,fuzzy bedside manner but there is no other doctor I would trust with my eyes and highly recommend him to anyone considering eye procedures.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 basal cell carcinoma on my eyelid. my doctor that diagnosed me put me on a chemo treatment that resulted in horrible side effects including vision issues. After seeing a doctor at St. Luke's I was immediately referred to Dr. Kwitko. He explained the procedure to me and successfully removed the cancer and reconstructed my eyelid successfully. I would recommend him and his team if you are looking or are in need of any ocular surgery.

We went to Dr. Kwitko due to vision issues after having multifocal lenses implanted after cataract removal by St Lukes, (who were useless in trying to help my husband). He was very efficient and thorough in his evaluation and further testing and leading us to additional specialists as he couldn't help with the issue my husband was having. His manner is a bit abrupt, but he is professional, knowledgeable and seems genuine interested in helping you. His office staff is awesome, they make referrals SOOOO easy, they are professional and take care of everything that needs doing. Dr. Kwitko did do eyelid surgery on my husband...3rd time he has had to have it (not done by Dr. Kwitko) and this one seems to be really well done. Highly recommend Dr. Kwitko.

On July 5th of this year I had an upper blepharoplasty, and I knew when I decided to get this procedure done that Dr. Kwitko was the doctor to perform it! I follow him on Instagram and could see by the reviews, the posts of before and after pics that I would want no any other doctor to perform this bleph for me! I am SO THRILLED with my results!! I had such an awesome experience from the first consultation all the way to my 4 week post op visit! You will never find a better Dr than Dr. Geoffrey Kwitko for cosmetic eye surgery. I thank God everyday that He brought me to this talented Dr. My only regret is that I did not know of him when I had my original eye surgery 19 months ago and was referred to another local Dr. Sadly that Dr took so much of my right eyelid off I have been unable to close the eye until a month ago. Not only that but it was drooping halfway over my eye obstructing my vision. Dr Kwitko has performed six (6) surgeries including a skin graft on this eye until as of a month ago it closes and finally looks like my left eye. That should tell you what a challenge my eye has been. It has been a grueling experience but thanks to Dr Kwitko’s talents I feel normal again. I am so thankful he has never given up and agreed to take on someone else’s mistake for me. You may read that he can be abrupt but you will not find a Dr that cares more. People who know me have been terrified of this surgery but after seeing Dr Kwitko’s results they will only go to him. I want to also say that everyone in his office has been absolutely wonderful. Thank you, Dr. Kwitko. I fell and broke a bone underneath my left eye, Dr. Kwitko did surgery and repaired the damaged area, and saved my eyesight and I am truly thankful. Thank you, Dr. Kwitko! I had my Blepharoplasty surgery about eight weeks ago. I waited to give my recommendation until I had my annual Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family so that I could get their options, also. It's not about what we think. It's about what others think! Well, I was correct; Dr. Kwitko did an excellent job. Everyone told me how different I looked and how the surgery made me look 10 to 20 years younger. I live alone and was concerned about being alone during recovery. I followed Dr. Kwitko's post-surgery instructions. I had no problems, experienced zero pain and minimal bruising, and carried on with life, as usual, the next day after surgery. (I followed the doctor's instructions for the best practices for an excellent post-surgery recovery). Today my vision is brighter and more precise; I'm no longer looking through half an eyelid and eyelashes. I had been advised by two optometrists over the past 4 years that I needed to consider Blepharoplasty on both eyes due to impaired peripheral vision and daily discomfort, especially tearing. After two unsatisfactory Blepharoplasty "consults" with specialists here in Rhode Island, I did some research online and found Dr. Kwitko. Three round trip flights and a total of seven nights in Tampa/St. Pete hotels wasn't cheap but I consider the "out of pocket" money well spent. My experience and outcome now @ 8weeks post-op was/is outstanding and I highly recommend Dr. Kwitko and his team. Seek the best medical care where ever you may have to go, don't compromise for convenience!

I live on the East coast of Florida. After having a consultation with the only oculoplastic surgeon in our county where his focus was to "upsell" me on the number/type of plastic surgeries required for my drooping eyelids, I knew that I needed to research to find a reputable doctor who would be more interested in what actually was needed to address my vision impairment than what was needed to pad his pocketbook. A friend of mine on the West coast who is a retired surgical nurse highly recommended Dr. Kwitko. I was impressed with my initial consultation with Dr. Kwitko - he performed a very thorough exam, performed some tests, and confidently explained that upper eyelid surgery was all that was needed to improve my vision problems. Dr. Kwitko performed the surgery on one eyelid one week, and the other eyelid the following week. The surgeries went smoothly, with a follow-up visit the next day after each eye and then again 3-4 weeks post-surgery. He is a highly skilled surgeon and I felt so at ease about the surgery. Kudos to his office staff -- they are extremely efficient in all aspects of scheduling and billing. I have never been to a doctor's office with such an efficient staff! Yes -- traveling from the East coast of Florida to the West coast 4 times meant extra expense for travel and hotel lodging -- but it was well worth the additional time and cost to receive care from such a talented surgeon. Dr. Kwitko is the ultimate professional in his field and to me -- that is priceless!! Thank you Dr. Kwitko and staff!!!

In June of 2021, my first surgeon removed a basal cell cancer from the left lower eyelid. Post surgically, I was left with complications and issues. Complications in the nature of a retracted upper eyelid and an everted lower eyelid with a large skin graft. Issues such as severe dry eye, distorted vision, continual eye drainage and of course, disfigurement. The first surgeon didn’t have answers as how to correct the problems. A second opinion from another surgeon said the same and added “I was a poor healer.” I was devastated, feeling hopeless. Understanding my despair, my Mohs surgeon gave me Dr. Kwitko’s name. Eight months later, and only 6 days after meeting Dr Kwitko, he performed surgery to correct the retracted upper eyelid and 4 weeks later, a second surgery to restructure the lower eyelid/skin graft. I am still healing from the surgeries but the transformation is impressive. In addition, all of the above issues were resolved. Unlike the other two surgeons, I knew immediately to trust Dr. Kwitko. He explained the reasoning behind my surgical complications/issues and described the needed surgical interventions. He is an excellent surgeon that instills confidence and reassurance. I highly recommend Dr. Kwitko, without reservation.

Just moved from Canada. I saw him for 5 mins and was told my issue which doctors in Canada couldn’t figure out. I had the surgery the following week and within 5 days it’s almost healed. I couldn’t recommend him enough he truly is the best in America!! I went to see Dr Kwitko for a second opinion after being told by the first specialist that she could not help me. I left the first doctor’s office crushed, feeling hopeless. I value experience and education because I am an educator. I believe that years of experience and knowledge are admirable and I value the positive feedback from other patients. With that being said, I made an appointment and saw Dr Kwitko. I was greeted by his friendly staff. Some tests were run and then I met with Dr Kwitko. He was very professional and I knew with his experience and knowledge that he would help me. I was confident in his skills. He answered my prayers. Had eye surgery on both of my eyes....two days apart. Went to the office and was treated outstanding. Scheduled the two surgeries and even during the COVID crisis they made it feel seamless. The work that was done on my eyelids, I expected I would have discomfort. I've had a splinter in my finger that was far for painful. This was a walk in the park!!!!!. I went in to see Dr Kwitko because I was having several problems with my eyes, pain, swelling, dry eye and double vision. I do get a bit nervous when there is something going on with my eyes however, Dr Kwitko was so very knowledgeable and he made me feel very comfortable. His staff was extremely nice and professional. I think what made me feel more comfortable than ever with Dr Kwitko is that he never left one stone unturned, he sent me to have blood work and CT scans when other doctors brushed me off and told me that my site was excellent that they didn’t see anything wrong. I had lower eyelid retraction surgery for my severe chronic dry eye. Dr Kwitco used the collagen graft method & did one eye at a time, 1st on Tuesday, and the 2nd eye on Thursday. I am exactly 2 weeks post op today & still using my prescription ointment. So far I have not experienced dry eyes after surgery. The staff at the surgery center are phenomenal & really helped me relax & feel comfortable. I experienced no pain at all, even the nurse who inserted my IV did it without pain (ask for the cold spray, it really helps!). My recovery was easy. I went home & felt sleepy, so I put on the eye mask filled with ice & had a nap. My anesthesiologist told me most patients don't use the ice 20-30 minutes on and 20-30 minutes off, so they have more bruises & swelling. Please follow the instructions, they know what they're talking about. I was expecting puffy black eyes but the only discoloration was some reddish marks under my lower lids. 2 weeks there are no marks at all. A couple friends didn't believe I had just had surgery. My eyes are the only thing showing because I wear a mask in public due to covid, so if there was anything funny people would notice.

I went to Dr. Kwitko by a recommendation from my primary doctor. I was having problems with my right eyelid drooping and it feeling very heavy. He found after tests my pupils were different sizes and sent me for more tests for Horner’s Syndrome. There is no cure but he could do surgery to stop the sagging eyelid. I chose to do a bleph on the other eye for symmetry. The results were astounding. I feel like a new person again. I don’t look or feel tired all the time and my makeup doesn’t end up all over my upper lid. I couldn’t be happier with his work! On a side note- the tests run for Horner’s Syndrome ended up finding plague in my carotid artery which now my doctor has put me on Lipitor. This is all after my regular eye doctor blew me off. Thank you Dr. Kwitko!!

What can I say about Dr. Kwitko, other then he is an amazing eye surgeon that saved my eyesight! I woke up with major pressure on my optic nerves causing blurred vision and extreme pain. My regular eye doctor immediately contacted Dr. Kwitko's office and he was able to get me in immediately! I was sent out for the proper testing to confirm his preliminary diagnosis, and my surgeries were scheduled. Both surgeries were a complete success with no complications. I attribute my continued eyesight to Dr. Kwitko's quick actions and skills as a Neuro-ophthalmologist! Dr. Kwitko has continued to monitor my condition with absolute care and professionalism. He has always been open and honest with me, and answered all my questions. He and his office staff are the best!

Wonderful result!!! I am extremely happy with the results I got. I had suffered with extreme irritation, redness and dry eye due to lid lag on my left lower eye lid after bell's palsy, so incomplete closure when blinking. By the end of the day I would sometimes tape my lower lid to keep it from being so irritated. I had a great experience with Dr.Kwitko ! I had a ptosis surgery for my right upper eyelid and the procedure was excellent. Medical staff at Tampa surgery center made me feel very comfortable as it was my first time ever having surgery. Dr.Kwitko answered any questions I had throughout the process . During my consultation he took the time to make sure there were no other major causes for the ptosis in my right eye and I would be a good candidate for the surgery. My second appointment was to see if I had any other questions before my surgery and to schedule it. I paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, I was not informed by staff that my second appointment would cost $250. I was okay with paying just would’ve been nice to know before hand. The total for my surgery was $2,500, plus the cost for the surgery center. The $75 for my consultation was fully refunded to me. Very fair pricing! For anyone else looking to get this surgery I highly recommend Dr.Kwitko! I have no concerns 30 days post surgery I’m healing very nicely and my eyelid is no longer droopy. After the exam I was sent for further testing to make sure there was nothing serious going on. The follow up visit was just a few days later. I've been a patient of Doctor Kwitco for ten years. Dr. Kwitco performed corrective surgery on my eyelids in 2007. Recently I found a spot of skin cancer on my right eyebrow, at the edge of my eye orbit (skull). Because of the excellent work Dr. Kwitco has done for me previously, he was my first choice for the delicate surgery I would need for the skin cancer removal. My insurance provider approved my claim, and I was able to have Dr. Kwitco perform the procedure.

Dr. Kwitko did for me what a few other doctors couldn't. I had basal cell carcinoma between my eye and nose. One doctor tried unsuccessfully to remove it in her office. After 3 attempts and not being able to get clean margins, she had to stop and I had to have a scan to see where the cancer had spread. She consulted with other doctors and they didn't know where exactly to send me. I was sent to three other doctors who said they couldn't do what needed to be done and that I would need several doctors in succession to fix my problem. Then I was referred to Dr. Kwitko. After reviewing my records and scan, he said he didn't see the problem. Dr. Kwitko does amazing work! I was referred to him by my ophthalmologist, I had a severe infection in my eye. He examined me and immediately took action, arranging for me to be admitted to the hospital upon arrival and pre-op work started for surgery the next day. He removed the sack of infection and inserted a tube to repair a blocked tear duct. Due to infection, etc. he actually did 3 surgeries, all through the same small incision. It's been 4+ months since this all started. The tube is now out, and no infection. I am so grateful for his skillful work (No scar!) and his quick action. I doubt if anyone is better in this field of surgery in the Tampa Bay Area. I recently had corrective surgery for droopy eyelids (not the exact medical term for my condition). Within a minute of my first meeting with the good doctor in his MacDill Avenue office, I knew I found someone that I could trust to do the job right. He gave me straight answers and a plan of action during the first meeting. He inspired confidence in me that I was in good hands. Within two weeks of my office visit, the surgery was completed. (A surgery day for each eyelid.) Once the healing was complete (initially I looked like I had a bad encounter with Mike Tyson), my eyelids were back up where they should be. I was very pleased that my eyelids looked normal, not with a "wide awake" or "surprised look" that a friend of mine had happen to him with his eyelid surgery with another doctor. A couple of other points: -Plenty of parking at his office -I never had to sit around for a long time in his lobby. He keeps things moving. -The staff is very professional and helpful. They handled all of the insurance paper work and always knew the status of it. I did't have to get involved with my insurance company. The admin staff is great! -I saw a picture of him holding a pet dog. Gotta respect someone that likes dogs.

Diagnosis was basal cell carcinoma on lower eye lid. The choice was to have Mohs surgery by a dermatologist followed by reconstruction of the eye lid by an ocular plastic surgeon. This meant 2 procedures performed by two different physicians on two different days. I elected to have a single procedure by the ocular plastic surgeon,Dr. Geoffrey Kwitko. He not only removed the growth but also identified two other areas that needed to be excised. This resulted in excision of half of my lower eye lid. The reconstruction was amazing. The lids on both eyes look identical even though one was untouched.There was one complication though, a stitch failed to dissolve. This resulted in a significant amount of discomfort. Dr. Kwitko identified and fixed the problem. He was very responsive. Got me into the office right away. He even called that evening to check to see how I was doing. When was the last time a physician took the time to call you at home to see how you are doing? He is very efficient and very caring.

I am the happiest girl in the world. I have hated people always asking me if I'm ok and that I look exhausted. I was also terrified of surgery. Especially anesthesia and recovery. My friend was inspired and had the same surgery done elsewhere. She had complications and needed a second surgery to revise the first one.
