Dr. Rizzuto recently did eyelid surgery on my left eye. On my first appointment he was able to quickly assess my need for the surgery. He showed me a photo of another patient with a similar problem to assure me of how my eyes would look after surgery. He was competent and caring during all my appointments. I felt very secure with his work. The office staff was friendly and very easy to speak with regarding setting up appointments. His waiting area was comfortable for the person who drive me to the appointment the day of the surgery. This office building has free parking. Just an overall good experience-I highly recommend Dr. Rizzuto.

Dr Rizzuto is one of the most kindest, compassionate Dr’s that I have ever met. I started going to him in 2015 with my best friend that recommended him for she started going to him 20 years ago. I get my Botox and filler and would never trust anyone else with my face but Dr Rizzuto! He listens and advises and never tries to push anything extra just enough to make you look natural. I went to his office twice with my friend just to talk to him because I was very nervous and he never tried pushing me into something he let me make up my own mind with all the information he gave me. And I’m so glad I found this Dr. My friend has eye procedure’s with the Dr as well as her husband because he is an excellent eye surgeon. I went to Dr. Rizzuto for an eyelid surgery and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. My eyes look so refreshed and so much more youthful than they did. I’ve never had any cosmetic work - not even fillers so I was fairly anxious. Dr. Rizzuto and Emma made me feel so comfortable on the day of my surgery. The warm blanket was amazing! The procedure was painless and my recovery was also very easy. Aside from sleeping upright the first 48 hours (annoying but obviously very necessary), it really was nothing. The staff at the office is lovely; they are both down to earth and knowledgeable. I had imagined a plastic surgeon’s office to be pretentious or even pushy in suggesting patients have more work done. This was not the case - everyone was gracious, efficient and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Rizzuto, his office and staff. 5 stars!

Dr. Rizzuto did my husband Tom's eye surgery Sept 2022. Tom had what he called a freckle in the white of his eye. It didn't affect his vision but was getting bigger and needed to be tested. Tom was very nervous about the surgery but Dr. Rizzuto made us feel confident. He and his staff in the office as well as the surgery center are kind, thoughtful, supportive and most of all competent. The surgery was successful and the follow up appointments went well. We would highly recommend him eventhough he is a Yankee and Jets fan.

I was referred to Dr Rizzuto for a lesion on my lower eyelid. Dr Rizzuto and his entire team were wonderful! I was nervous about driving, finding and parking in the area, but it turned out to be very easy. Free parking is on site. Dr Rizzuto examined my lesion and determined it needed to be removed. It may or may not have been benign but surgical removal, along with marginal tissue, was needed, along with biopsy. The surgery itself was very easy at the Surgery Center. I had a few sutures. I used the oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye drops as prescribed and had little to no pain after the surgery. Dr Rizzuto called me himself the evening of the surgery to check on me, a very reassuring touch! I returned to the office to have the sutures removed and the wound site examined. It turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, but was contained and fully removed. I am so grateful to Dr Rizzuto, and his team, both at his office and the Surgery Center, for such excellent care! Highly recommend him for any eyelid or facial plastic surgery! Thank you, Dr Rizzuto!!

Dr. Rizzuto walked through the procedure and what to expect in great detail so there were no surprises. The highly professional staff at the office made me feel that I was in very good hands and Emma (physician assistant) was wonderful at calming me down during the numbing phase of the surgery. I had no pain and numbness post -op and I can only attribute this to Dr. Rizzuto’s great technique and expertise. Dr. Rizzuto was quite accessible throughout the process. I found Dr. Rizzuto when my elderly father was in need of a temporal artery biopsy. My family was terrified and I have never seen my father like that. Dr. Rizzuto was so supportive and encouraging prior to the procedure and immediately before he actually had my dad laughing. I would like to thank Dr. Philip Rizzuto and his team Renee, Michele and Nidia for the wonder care before, during and after my eyelid surgery. I have to admit I was a little nervous about having it done but I’m so happy with the results. I never had any pain whatsoever and the recovery time was minimal. I did exactly what Dr. Rizzuto told me to do with icing and keeping my head elevated which helped immensely with less bruising. I can see so much better when I’m reading and wish I had it done sooner. The whole team was wonderful with my phone calls and concerns. I went to Phillip Rizzuto for eyelid surgery after my cataract surgery left me with droopy eyelids. I was hesitant at first and had a ton of questions for Dr. Rizzuto. He answered all of my questions comprehensively and with patience. On the day of surgery, I was very nervous. He was reassuring and compassionate. I had surgery on my eye on April 22,2021 and from start to finish the whole thing was perfect! I saw Dr Rizzuto in his office before and the staff was so kind and professional. I was seen at my appointment time which is important to me. The day of surgery I was greeted by wonderful people and they kept me in the loop of what was going to happen next and how much longer before they would bring me down to the surgery room. The Surgery Center was spotless. VERY clean. Dr Rizzuto came in to see me before the surgery and put me at ease as to what he was going to do. I can NOT recommend him enough! Even after the surgery in recovery all of those nurses were so wonderful as well. The whole thing was perfect! Who knew having surgery, let alone eye surgery would be a pleasant experience!! You will not be sorry if you choose Dr Rizzuto to take care of you!! A+ care

Several years ago as a younger nurse I had overworked myself into exhaustion. Both of my eyelids were drooping and I went to a well known opthamologist for a blephoplasty. While he finished my left eye there was a sharp intense stabbing pain and rapid tearing. I tried to remain calm while the physician explained that a stitch had snapped but that it would be inconsequential to my result. He gave me a pain med, finished my left eye and escorted me to the office exit. Over the next few days the pain was throbbing, I could not sleep because of excessive tearing...my face and pillow were constantly soaked with tears, the MD told me to be patient. Weeks went by and sleep deprivation and disco mfort exhausted me.I was unfit to work in this condition. Other MDs refused to touch the eyelid, some would not even see me. Dr Rizzuto was referred by a friend. I was impressed by his cool, even demeanor and pleasant sympathetic attitude. He listened intently to me and said he would like to reopen the incision. I was so relieved that he was willing to help me recover. I felt confidence in him; he had too much integrity and compassion to ignore a miserable patient. He quickly fitted my eyelid revision into his schedule. He numbed the area , incised and stitched in a short amount of time. He stated that he was able to remove a bit of scar tissue. In a day or so the edema went down, the tiny red line mellowed and I did not need any pain medicine. The tearing stopped and the nightmare was over. There were no words to express the gratitude and relief I felt. There isn't a scar to remind me of this event but I could never forget Dr Rizzuto, and recommend him without hesitation. Thank you Dr Rizzuto!

I needed blepharoplasty revision surgery after a Boston eyelid doctor performed a hack- job that left my eyelids asymmetric. I cruised the internet for many months in search of a competent doctor. My searches always led me to Dr. Rizutto so I made an appointment for a consultation. I instantly decompressed when Dr. Rizutto walked into the room because of his friendly, calming demeanor. He took the time to listen and understand what I needed. Without hesitation, I made the appointment and am so happy that I did! He and his lovely assistant Renee’ were so comforting during the procedure that I was at complete ease from start to finish. I am 9 days post procedure and cannot believe how good my eye looks this early in the game. The swelling is very minimal, and I only have a single tiny bruise. These results are a true testament of Dr. Rizutto’s competency. I wish I had found Dr. Rizutto at the time of my initial blepharoplasty but I am so thankful I found him to correct the mistakes of the other surgeon. After 14 months of staring at my asymmetric eyes (caused from the Boston Dr.) I am finally at peace and so happy knowing my eye is on the healing road to normalcy. Dr. Rizzuto performed surgery on my left eye. I had a rather large sebaceous cyst growing on top of my brow bone for approximately 15 years and was afraid if removed, it would effect my eyelid, impede my ability to close my eye completely and leave a huge scar where my eyebrow existed. I am happy to report, none of those fears came to pass. If you never met me before seeing the Dr., you would never know I ever had a large growth removed from my eye. My eyebrow shape was never affected and my brow hair grew in beautifully. Dr. Rizzuto has truly gifted hands.

I was referred to Dr. Rizzuto by my primary care doctor for an eyebrow lift. I was told that he is well known in southern New England for his skill with this procedure and has demonstrated the procedure to other plastic surgeons all over the world. I consulted with him last winter (pre-COVID) and he gave me a thorough explanation of the surgery and what I could expect. As planned, my surgery was done last week. I was awake the whole time. One hour start to finish. No pain during the surgery of afterwards. The office was not crowded and was very private so I did not have any concerns regarding social distancing, etc. As to the procedure and the post op, it has been 4 days since my surgery and I have zero complications and only mild swelling and redness around my eyes at this point. The "lift" is completely natural. I couldn't be happier with the results or with experience. Highly recommended.

Two plus years ago, I was diagnosed with an idiopathic condition called blepharospasm. This condition caused an involuntary twitching of my right eye. Being that this condition was benign, I just learned to live with it. However, this past winter, along with the eye twitching, I started to have facial spasms from my eye to my mouth. These spasms at times cause my speech to be a bit unclear. I became concerned and wondered about my diagnosis and if there were more symptoms to come. After reporting this to my doctor, she suggested that I see my optometrist, which I did. He in turn recommended and set up an appointment for me with Dr. Philip R. Rizzuto. To say that I am grateful for this recommendation is an understatement. In a matter of twenty minutes, Dr. Rizzuto put all my concerns, questions, and yes, fears to rest. In laymen’s terms, he explained and showed me that I am experiencing nerve related, hemi-facial spasms. Just as important, Dr. Rizzuto assured me that my symptoms are in the norm and that he could help “calm” the twitches and spasms through periodic Botox injections. I am extremely thankful to Dr. Rizzuto for his expertise and for his personable and professional approach. He has given me peace of mind that my condition can be controlled.
