I like the physicians and office staff well but when I try to call the front office with questions or requests, I estimate I only get through 50% of the time. And I've not found a way to leave a voice message. I did just find a way to send a message via their website and I will see if this works a bit better.

Front desk staff is always so welcoming and patient. They have just updated their system but all the data has not yet migrated so they are using to computers for admitting patients. It was done gracefully and effectively; thank you, Molly! Dr. Brown is always very professional and clear in explaining what he is doing. My whole family has been going to this practice for years and we have nothing but good things to say about everyone there.

Friendly, helpful, and professional/knowledgeable staff. Dr. Crawford is a gem. He is a polite, excellent doctor, who inspires confidence and takes the time to explain, in detail, his findings, the root of the problems, if any, and the solutions to those. I did have to wait 45 minutes to be seen, but the lovely, professional technician apologized and explained that, through no fault of their own, they had become very short-staffed the week before. I actually didn’t mind the waiting and said so. Overall, the clinic is top notch.

Had a great yearly visit with Dr. Brown. He's a great provider as is the staff. Also met with Jarrod at the Sight Shop and he never steers me wrong. Everyone is very knowledgeable and personable. I work in the same building as another eye care provider but I have no desire to go there. You guys are the best!

An efficient, well-organized front office; paperwork handled quickly. Always informed as to next steps in the process from intake to final step to schedule for next appointment; zero inapt wait-time. Dr. Crawford and his staff took time to explain and, most importantly, make sure that I understand, what they did, why and what to expect for the future. The professionality, courteousness, and knowledge of the entire staff is always refreshing, especially during the pandemic. Dr. Crawford never seems rushed, and always answers any questions or concerns you may have. He always checks on prior visits to be sure of your baseline and continued care. Cannot recommend him or his office enough. My parents, family, friends and pastor and wife have also been his patient for many, many years until their passing, and always felt they had exceptional and thorough care.

OES staff have made every effort to help with my mother-in-law's comfort level when she has been in for her treatments and follow-up exams. They have showed a great deal of patience and care. Due to the wonderful care of the staff, every visit has been a pleasure and easy for her. I am grateful for this. Since she was so comfortable, she was willing to return after each visit to complete all the recommend surgeries and treatments. These treatments have improved her quality of life immensely! It has been are real blessing for her!

I had a great experience - this was my first time at this clinic. I appreciated how soon an appointment could be scheduled. I was able to get in within a few days. The optometrist was professional and pleasant. I think I found my new eye doctor! The only minor issue is the parking - be sure to pay attention to where you park and get directions. I was surprised I didn't get lost, ha ha!

I have been going to Oregon Eye Specialists for close to 15 years ~ how fortunate I am to have the same amazing eye doctor the entire time!!! Dr. Eric Brown has been my “go~to” doctor for anything eye related. Seeing the same doctor through the years has been quite a comfort as I age and my eyes change more frequently than when I was a youngster. Not many people can say they’ve had the same eye specialist for almost 15 years!!! I also love that I can visit the Sight Shop right after my appointment and order new glasses/contacts immediately! They’ve made it SO convenient by having the Sight Shop in their office. I would NEVER choose to have another group of people take care of my eyes.

The office is well run and efficient and everyone was friendly. There were no delays in my being seen on time. As soon as I got my prescription I was able to choose a frame and have the optometrist put in my order for new glasses.

I had an eye injury on Sunday and called the OES answering service who got me connected right away to Dr. Martin Balish, my eye doctor. He listened to me, told me what I should do (and not do). Then he said I needed to be seen asap and he would contact the on-call dr. Before hanging up, he reassured me that while he hoped it was just a cornea scratch that whatever it was, we'd work through it. Dr. Thomas Crawford called me within a very few minutes and asked me to come in, asked how long it would take for me to arrive (25 mins) and told me how to find him in the quiet building. He was outstanding and caring to the utmost. He checked my eye (I had rubbed off the exterior film that covers the cornea) and installed a bandage lens, prescribed antibiotic drops (working with the pharmacist to find out which ones they had available since they needed to be started right away), and arranged to have me come in the next day. I went in, he checked it, said there was significant improvement, but the bandage lens needed to stay on the full 72 hours and he needed to see me again on Wednesday. He came out with me to the scheduling desk to let them know that they needed to fit me into his already full schedule. I came in on Wednesday, he removed the lens. My vision in that eye is nearly back to normal already. And the OES experience was entirely wonderful from start to finish. The techs were great, too, as were the front desk people, and the answering service! If you have to rub off the covering of your cornea (which is quite painful, I might say!), OES is where you want to go for help. I couldn't be more satisfied and frankly happy.

I highly recommend Providence Eye Care. Scheduling an appointment was easy, the friendly staff at check-in was efficient and fast. The technician who gave me the initial eye check up was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Crawford is excellent! He is very knowledgeable, kind and caring.

Dr. Thomas Crawford is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He's been my ophthamologist for twenty years or more, not only handling the usual eye exams and prescriptions but also some surgery and other eye issues. He's skilled, knowledgeable and experienced, of course. As importantly and harder to find, he's a kind and empathic person who both listens with concern and communicates in a clear, respectful and patient manner. Everyone I dealt with, from the receptionist to the doctor, apologized for the long wait ~ which wasn't really that bad! But I appreciate that they cared enough to mention it. Shannon and Dr Richard were both friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . When Dr Richard said the word "cataracts" I was freaking out on the inside, but she put me at ease. Thank you for that!

Everyone that I encountered, front desk and Dr with whom I had my appointment, were friendly and professional toward me and among each other. I felt confident with the COVID-19 Precautions and Procedures that were in place. My appointment was on time and the Dr was personable, determined the cause of poor vision with new contact lens prescription for one eye. I was provided with a trial lens and he took back my unopened box of lenses that were incorrect. In addition, he took the box to be returned and said replacement box of lenses would be ordered as replacements at no charge. My expectations were exceeded in every aspect of my appointment.

The staff had compassion for my already bad day and worked hard to fit me in: do the exams, write a new Rx and find an old record. THIS REVIEW IS BY THE HUSBAND OF THE ABOVE ACCOUNT HOLDER: I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas Crawford's for many years and he has treated me for many eye problems including bilateral retinal detachments (one requiring a vitrectomy) with appropriate retinal specialty referrals, abnormal optic discs and cataracts. Today's visit was for a pre-surgical evaluation in preparation for cataract extraction. Although I am a retired Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Crawford ensures he answers all my questions and confirms I have a good understanding of my eye problems and the necessary evaluation, available treatment, and follow-up. I have referred my wife, my daughter and her family, many other family members, and many patients when I was in practice to OES and to Dr. Crawford in particular. He is 5 star physician and I recommend him and OES without reservation.
