I had cataract surgery for both eyes and Dr. Newman takes every precaution to ensure a safe and successful outcome. He is the only doctor I know that provides his cell phone and is there for you if you have any follow up questions or concerns. I had two successful surgeries and can't say enough about Dr. Newman and his very experienced staff

I had my PRK done about two months ago. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I have been wearing glasses since I was 10 years old and I feel like I was never able to see and now 2 months after the surgery I am at 20/20. The office is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Newman explained to me how the procedure looks like and what to expect. The actual procedure is very quick.The aftercare was amazing. Dr. Newman treated me as his priority. He followed up with me daily and answered all my questions promptly. I would say I needed the most attention within the first week, and after that my eyes were healing quickly. Within a month, I saw a dramatic change and improvement. I strongly recommend this office to get this procedure done.

I recently went to Dr Newman due to a cataract in my right eye. My husband had cataracts removed by Dr Newman in both eyes with wonderful results. One of them was difficult and it turned out amazing. He recommended Dr Newman. Dr Newman examined both of my eyes thoroughly and pointed out a retina problem in my left eye. He told me what he thought it was but sent me to a retina specialist to be sure. He was correct in his diagnoses. That issue will be watched in the future. Dr Newman removed my cataract along with refractive correction due to my nearsightedness. I previously used mono vision with contact lenses and this was my distance eye. I haven’t seen this well since I was a child! Very happy with the results. The office staff is knowledgeable and caring. Dr Newman does take his time with each patient so this may put appointments behind. I would rather have a doctor that makes sure everything is right than one that rushes you out the door. I just had my second cataract surgery and refractive correction on my left eye. This is my reading (near) seeing eye. Due to the more complicated issues with this eye as stated above and more in depth refractive surgery needed, Dr Newman could not guarantee how well it would turn out. He said he would do his best. After the healing process and following his instructions to the letter, I am able to see most regular print for reading. I do need readers for very tiny print. Overall, I am very happy with the results. He did an amazing job!

I have been seeing Dr Newman for over six years. I have had several procedures with fantastic results. My initial visit was to evaluate me for cataract surgery on my left eye. During my initial visit, I found Dr Newman to be extremely thorough in his evaluation and recommendations for this procedure. He explained all of my options and the costs associated with the various options. His staff is very professional and friendly, who provide excellent support and followup. After the first surgery I had to wait two years before the right eye needed cataract surgery. Since then, I am able to read without glasses, something I never thought could happen to a person my age. I can also drive safely at night. I can't say enough about Dr Newman and his staff. This has provided a positive change in my life.

Dr. Newman is such a friendly guy and his staff is always super friendly and personable. I've been a patient of Newman Eye Center for about 4 years and they have all become like family to me. I know them all now by first name. Dr. Newman (Bruce) has been treating me for blepharitis caused by chronic dry-eye. Under his care my eyelids are no longer red and irritated. I was thrilled that my husband went to have Catarac surgery first because I was petrified of the procedure! The staff is incredible! They explained everything and addressed all my questions. They see you as an individual and they helped me feel at ease. Dr. Newman is truly caring about all his patients. He takes as much time as needed. I never felt “rushed”. He is gentle and reassuring. I was referred to Dr. Newman after finding out I had a cataract in my left eye. I was very nervous and not sure what to expect - but the whole experience was wonderful! Everyone there was super helpful (and nice) during the whole process. Dr. Newman, Diane and Susan all took the time to go over my surgical options and I felt very comfortable making my decision. My surgery was successful and I could not believe the follow up from the staff and Dr. Newman himself! As others have mentioned he called me directly the night of my surgery to see how I was doing. I had access to him via cell phone and whenever I had a question I could call or text - and he would respond immediately. I hope I don't develop a cataract in my other eye - but if I do, I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Newman! I cannot recommend him and his staff enough!

I was referred to Dr. Newman by both my wife and sister-in-law who had very good results with cataract surgery performed by Dr. Newman. I ultimately had both eyes done by Dr. Newman and couldn't be happier. The preparation work was done professionally and using the latest techniques. I was given several options and chose what I thought would be best for me, since I had Lasik surgery many years earlier. The end results is that I have very good distance vision and can read without my reading glasses when necessary. I would highly recommend Dr. Newman.

I've had both eyes treated for cataract surgery with no issue whats so ever and delicate laser done for improved vision. My vision has been and will always continue in his care. My husband had cataract surgeries and IOL implants on both eyes, a month apart. The experience was wonderful, due to the brilliance of Dr. Newman’s expertise and thorough follow-up care. When the optometrist referred him to Newman Eye Center, I began extensive research into the surgery and local doctors performing it. Dr. Newman is considered top in the field, and for good reason. And when was the last time you were given a doctor’s personal cell number in case there were problems after business hours? Additionally, everyone on the office staff treated us professionally and with kindness. Even the surgical center staff where thee operations were performed were great. Not only was the experience positive, my husband now has almost perfect 20/20 vision! What a difference between dealing with large impersonal eye care “factories” vs. a smaller, specialized, expert level “boutique.” We would never consider ever going elsewhere for our eye care!

Dr. Newman is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to eye procedures including cataracts, glaucoma, refractive and cosmetic options. He also has the newest testing equipment. I had THE most bizzare experience at Dr. Newman's office when I went. I had gone to optometrists for 16 years up to that point, so it was nothing new. You go in, have your eye exam done, they write the prescription, give you your contacts and you are on your way. But not Dr. Newman's office.. So everyone was friendly in the office and I was seen by Dr. Newman who did my eye exam and everything seemed to be good. So then after I was done they had me wait awhile. But then here comes the bizzare part. After Dr. Newman saw me, I didn't get my prescription. The receptionist came to me and told me Dr. Newman DIDN'T do the test and that they would have to call the place I had my eyes done the year before in order to get my prescription. And so I had to look up the number to the optometrist who checked my eyes the previous year and once they had that info, then they wrote my prescription. I asked why they couldn't do they eye test and she said something about a "curvature test" and how it would be extra. Keep in mind that I had eye insurance through my employer and had my eyes checked at other places with the same insurance and nobody else had to call my previous optometrists or have to charge me extra for a "curvature test". I have been to Target optical every year since then and it has ALWAYS gone smoothly just as it had all the previous years I had gone to Newman Eye Center.

I had PRK on both eyes with Dr. Newman in July 2021, and my high myopia (-7.5 contacts RX) was completely corrected into 20/20 vision! Yes, PRK takes longer to heal from than LASIK, but it was worth it because I can rub my eyes without any worry of dislodging the LASIK flap :) Dr. Newman was knowledgeable and I couldn’t be happier with my vision!!

I highly recommend Newman Eye Center. Dr. Newman is great; he is very detailed oriented. I had one cataract surgery 10/2019; the 2nd had to wait with all the lockdowns. Had the 2nd eye done 04/2021. Both eyes went smoothly. I can see! In fact, I'm no longer wearing my glasses (was using for near, far and in between). I can even read my email on my phone. Just a note....lots of eye drops for a few weeks after surgery (not too bad, I'm just not an eyedrop person); other than that, life as usual. The processes were all explained; things are all documented with instructions. I am very happy.

Very customer sensitive care. Appointment friendly to your needs. Dr. Newman is bedside friendly and gentle. He listens to your needs and makes it happen. Unlike, the doctors that reschedule you for a follow up. He explains your condition thoroughly as well as answers questions. Hands down consultation . No medical assistant answering medical questions . Or a nurse rescheduling you to move on the next patient. As a retired nurse, that's huge in my choice of doctors !

I am one day post cataract surgery on my left eye and I am 20/20!!!!!! That's what I said...20/20!!!!!!!! From the minute I walked into Dr Newmans practice I was treated with respect from every one of his staff.. I hit the jackpot when I was taken care of by Sue..I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! She was kind, caring and her meticulous measurements and pre op testing made me feel completely confident that the surgery was the right decision.. . I had my laser eye surgery with Dr. Newman about 4 months ago. I wanted to wait until I was fully healed to leave my review. Dr. Newman explained PRK vs. Lasik. I had never heard of PRK before and wasn't aware there were multiple options for corrective surgery. I decided to go with the safer option of PRK. We met at the surgery center and everything went very smoothly. PRK takes a little longer for your eyes to heal but everything turned out exactly as Dr. Newman said it would. I can see perfectly now. It is as everyone says - life changing. The pricing was super reasonable and I recommend them to everyone looking to have corrective eye surgery! All of my follow up appointments have been included, easy to schedule and thorough. Dr. Newman always asks if I have any concerns and makes sure to spend time answering my questions. I'm happy to say I do not have to deal with contacts anymore!!

Dr. Bruce Newman has been my ophthalmologist since 1993. Due to a cataract in my left eye I lost confidence in my ability to drive, or even walk down steps. Dr. Newman performed cataract surgery, not only taking care of the cataract, but taking the time to do the complex calculations to give me mono vision. By doing this he was able to correct my vision to the point where I can now see near and far. At the age of 69 I only need very mild reading glasses, which I only need if I'm reading for an extended period of time. Dr. Newman literally changed my life.
