All the negative reviews about waiting for hours are true. And it is true your time with Dr. Shields herself is quite short. But all that is small stuff compared to the big picture: they save eyes and lives there. I drove three hours each way for Dr. Shields to save mine. The reason there's 50 people waiting is you are seeing the people with the best technology and the person who wrote the texts. For that, I'll accept the inconveniences.

Yes very long wait, but how can anyone expect anything else with an amazing specialist. The time with Dr. Shields was brief, but she is clearly is a brilliant doctor. Her staff are all very polite and knowledgeable.

6:45 appointment and it’s 9:30, still waiting to see the Doctor, I appreciate the fact that she is excellent at what she does and saves lives but a little respect for the patient and maybe some better communication would go along way. I’m sure they can do better than this if they tried.

The most amazing eye hospital in the world! Top notch people. Just know there's a lot of waiting around even during routine visits, and the waiting area can get very stuffy at times!

I have had 3 ocular oncologists. Appointments with any of them usually require an entire day. This cancer is very rare, so a doctor like Carol Shields is going to have a very busy schedule. That being said, when I saw Dr Shields 6 months ago I was there for 5 hours. I really liked her- she was fast but answered all of my questions. The receptionist helping me prior to the appointment was really friendly and helpful. Also, I had no problems with billing. Dr.Shields is one of the best in her field. I was happy to only wait 5 hours!

Dr. Shields is amazing and compassionate for my daughter who was diagnosed with eye cancer at 6 months. My daughter is now 15 months and cancer free. We still will see Dr. Shields every 6 months to make sure the cancer does not return. The manager David is a nice person even though some people say he isn't he is the one that contacted us late on a Friday night and got us in to see Dr. Shields.

I wish I could give Dr. Shields more than 5 stars! She is world class and is a brilliant doctor. If you have an eye problem, you can do a lot worse than Dr. Shields, but you cannot do any better.

Amazing experience with everything from office visits to surgery to billing, the Drs are great, you can not get any better care, I can not say enough good things about them, thank you for everything!!!
