Mom came in for surgery on her eye lid the Melissa was very helpful and caring . The office is decorated in the Christmas spirit . The waiting room was very nice . They have snacks in case you get hungry while you wait . You have to wait for the patient while they get their surgery . Very happy with their process . Thank you for helping mom !!

This was the first time for me to visit Berkeley Eye Center. It did take a little while to get in but I can say it was well worth the wait! The technician under Dr.Chou was exceptional! Extremely nice, constantly explaining to me what was going on and making sure I understood what he was saying. He was really the best technician I've ever experienced. Dr. Chou was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable and just a very pleasant person. She addressed my concerns and made sure I knew the game plan. Yvonne the Optician who helped me pick out the glasses and answer questions was so friendly! I felt like we had been friends forever. It was such a pleasure to speak and be cared for by her. She is such a sweet person!

The staff was very courteous and skilled. I saw Dr. Jeong and he is the best. He was very thorough with my eye exam. He showed me all my options and explained them in detail. My experience with John to spec out the glasses was informative and fun. He took time to take all measurements and explain my insurance coverage, options for lenses and best bang for my benefit. Overall I feel Berkeley Eye Center provided thorough care and consultation and I will be happy to refer my friends and family.

The Doctor's are great here, but some staff members not so much. Martha is a dirty person she didn't clean the equipment before or after I used it. She gave me the impression that she probably doesn't wash her hands after using the restroom, because she kept saying OH MY GOD after I would wipe my chin and forehead with an Alcohol wipe. Also, Monique the contact lens lady kept looking at me like I was crazy just, because I could not tell her exactly what my doctor said, because my case is complex. An African American lady looked like she just rolled out of bed and came to work without brushing her hair, because her hair was messy. She works in the Eyewear department. Not to get her confused with another African American women who is thinner she was very kind to my father. So if you don't mind some rude staff members than come here. You have to consider everyone not just the Doctor's.

Each time I visit, everything is organized and efficient. The staff are friendly and helpful and answer all my questions. I had some major eye issues and they reassured me and encouraged me along the way. I can’t wait to pick up the glasses Aurora helped me choose!

It is very hard to put into words how grateful and thankful I am for Dr. Maria Choudhary and everyone at the office. I have been dealing with a stye and chalazion issue in my right eye for the past three years. I have tried everything, warm compresses and the eye lid scrub, but it reached a point where I didn’t see any more improvement. I was told the remaining options are surgery or an injection of steroid into my eyelid. I was very nervous and scared to have anything in my eye so I didn’t think steroid injections would even be an option for me. I actually went to a different doctor at a different clinic trying to be brave enough to get the injection and I got cold feet and cancelled and went back home so my eye issue was never treated. Fortunately, after getting a second opinion and meeting with Dr. Maria Choudhary, she was the only person I would trust with giving me an injection. She’s very caring, compassionate knowledgeable, and very gentle with your eyes. I was so impressed by her that I decided to let her give me the injection!!! Now I wait a week hopefully soon I’ll start seeing the results and get my life back. I will update this post with you soon!❤️🙏!

I visited Berkeley Eye Center in Katy for a LASIK consultation and was very impressed with the thorough and professional service! Cindy was very helpful in explaining LASIK and how the entire process works, from pre-op to surgery to recovery. Even when an issue with my eyes presented a concern, all of my questions were answered, and the doctors took the time to explain my options and determine with confidence that surgery would be possible. In less than a week since surgery, I'm already pleased with the results of seeing 20/20 again for the first time in 40 years!

Awesome experience. First time going there. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jennifer with a friendly smile. She was very nice and directed me on what i needed to do. I waited not even 5 minutes when i was called to begin my exam.The staff, including Martha and Dr. Preston Davis, were very friendly, professional, and thorough throughout my exam. At the end, Ms. Kathy Dale, helped me with my check out. She was also awesome and Professional. I will definitely return and recommend my family here for their eye exams. First, in this day and age, I think it is important to mention that their COVID-19 prevention procedures and processes is some of the best I’ve seen in any business. The precautions they take should be a standard. Some businesses do the bare minimum and that alone can make a customer/patient feel uneasy but not Berkeley Eye Center - Katy. So rest assured, they definitely put their patients first. After some research, I decided to try to get LASIK and Berkeley Eye Center had some of the best and thorough reviews. Between the staff members and the facility, everything is amazing! Each staff member was so helpful and informative. Not once did I have a question unanswered or felt uneasy. So anyone nervous about LASIK, I hope this review serves you well. My whole experience was nothing short of amazing. There is a tech named Angela who prepped me for surgery that made me feel really comfortable and settled any uneasiness I might have felt. I almost felt like I was getting a spa treatment when she prepped my eyes. Dr. Do handled my eyes with care and communicated every step of the way during the surgery which helped keep me at ease. The surgery itself for me was fast and painless. It literally felt like I barely laid down for surgery and I was done. I can go on and on about how amazing getting LASIK through Berkeley Eye Center - Katy is but nothing will do it justice than going in for a free consultation. I just finished my 2nd post-op follow up and my vision is 20/20(actually a bit better). 5 Stars and I’ll refer everyone and anyone I know for any eye care they need.

This was my 2nd time at Berkeley Eye Center in Katy. There was not much of a wait. The staff was attentive, patient, and caring. Especially Olga!! Super patient with me. I get a little anxiety when it comes to eye drops and eye stuff. The facility was clean. I also didn't have to wait very long after my exam for optical to pick out glasses. They didn't try to upsell me or anything either. Loved it!!

I really like Berkeley. My wife has used them for years so I started coming here after we were married. Amber Dixon is great for fitting and frames. This was my first experience with Dr. Davis and Karla. Both were top notch. I had specific questions about my vision while playing tennis and my options were explained to me perfectly. I will continue use Berkeley. I just wish we could get past the Covid masks, it really makes it difficult to do exams and I miss seeing the friendly faces. They taped up the top portion of the mask to help with the fogging.

We have been to Berkley in Katy for an exam and 2 follow ups in the past month. It is operated well, a lot of different employees help the process move faster. We are never there for longer than an hour total, which to me is great considering the amount of people that are always in the waiting area. Treatment is great and so is their covid protocols. Service is super slow, I had to wait over 1.5 hours to see the doctor, which is odd because he didn’t seem to have time to talk to me as a patient - it was more just in and out. It would be nice if the doctor was a little more attentive especially when you have to wait so long to be seen by them! It would also be nice if there was some communication rather than have you sit in the office waiting with drops in your eyes for almost 2 hours and not knowing why! Another complaint was - there should be clear info about your treatment plan. If the doctor doesn’t have time to talk to you and neither do the staff at least print the info out so the patient can read it themselves! Additionally the front office girls could be more friendly, a simple how are you and a smile would make a huge difference. Would I recommend this place? In short, yes and no. Yes because their treatment is good but no because their customer service sucks.

My husband and I have been going to Berkeley Eye Clinic for many years and the service and the doctors have always provided excellent service. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and they are someone that you know you can trust with your eye site. We both have purchased our glasses through Berkeley and again the service is excellent. We usually deal with Lesley and she has always provided us with great service, helped us pick out the frames that best suited us and when we picked up the finished glasses they were perfect. The times that we have used other ladies in the department they provided great service too. I have used Berkeley Eye Clinic not only for my exams and glasses but also for my eye surgery.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bertrand and the the staff at the Berkeley Eye Center Katy location! I was able to get a new patient appointment that worked with my limited availability within two weeks of the day I called. All the staff were so friendly, and took the time to explain everything they were doing and gave me lots of options. Leslie in the eyewear department was WONDERFUL! It took me at least an hour to go through all the different financial scenarios between just contacts and contacts and glasses, and then look a ton of frames, and then lens options. She was a joy to work with the entire time! I highly recommend them!

She is a sharp diagnostician and clear on her instructions and explanation, yet also compassionate and took the time to see if I had questions. There were lots of patients in the waiting room, but each was served quickly as far as I could see.

Berkeley eye center in Katy is a top notch well run caring establishment. Dr Doe and his team of nurses and medical specialist made my cataract surgery an absolute breeze. I felt so comfortable and confident as I watched them work. Everything was explained before it happened and the post op instructions were laid out very clearly which i was worried about because of the multiple eye drops that need to be administered when I got home. I am actually looking forward to having the other eye done! Imagine that!!! Good job team!! And thank you for your caring touch!!!

OUTSTANDING -Everyone working in the Katy office was absolutely awesome. Best money I've ever spent! Decided on a Thursday to go in for a consult Friday morning. 1 week later I was having the procedure done! The staff is extremely pleasant, front desk girls remember and greet me by name every time I've gone in. Christina in Optical was a pleasure to deal with. Dr Doe and Garrett were awesome. I was so pleased with the care I received from the minute I stepped into the office to leaving. Dr Garrett was great and very thorough, and I never felt rushed. Cindy was so friendly and helpful when it was time to choose my new glasses. As I was about to leave, I noticed an elderly lady leaving the office, and a front desk staff member jumped up to help her out and even walked her down to the lobby. I was very impressed, and I'm disappointed that I didn't catch her name. Will definitely be using them from now on!

Everyone who works here is so wonderful and helpful! I had not been to the eye doctor in 5 years and when I got my eyes dilated I had a bit of an anxiety attack (don't know why but getting the drops in my eyes freaks me out). Doctor Garrett and several other staff members were so helpful and understanding. They immediately got me cold towels and oxygen and assured me I was ok. When that kind of thing happens it is easy to feel embarrassed and honestly like a burden on everyone, but again, all of the staff who helped me that day were so understanding and kind and made me feel more calm again. He is professional, very knowledgeable, conservative, yet personable and has a sense of humor which I like. I also see his optometrists prior to his exam and the two I have seen are terrific. His nursing staff are prompt, caring, and excellent. The front office staff actually answer the phone and take time to kindly answer your questions. I have not had to wait hours at my appointments. They even worked in my yearly exam with a follow up appointment visit, so I would not have to come in a third time. I highly recommend this office in all aspects. I enjoy going.

His glasses were promptly made - in about a week for two pair - and when we picked them up, they were fitted perfectly to his face! Dr. Doe, Jessica and Angela were amazing. I was so nervous for my lasik and they helped me relax and feel comfortable. They explained everything, multiple times when I was still anxious on the day of my procedure, as well as making jokes and just being funny. I genuinely appreciated that to help me not be so tense. I had lasik during a promo so I even got a great discount on some ray ban sunglasses with my new vision! Excellent service overall. It being during covid, I visibly seen everything wiped down before and after use and there was always distance kept in the lobby and temperature checks at the door. I’m very thankful for the experience and that the Good Lord watched over them and myself during the procedure and now I have 20/20 vision. God bless and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to invest in yourself with lasik. Sometimes I still wake up and surprise myself because it’s amazing to see everything without my contacts or glasses.

My last visit I was told I would need glasses and the folks that work with getting people glasses gave the same care and one on one customer service as the rest of the staff. My exam went as expected, although they did not do a couple of tests that I received regularly at my previous eye doctor in Colorado. I may have gotten used to the level of personalized service that we experienced at our previous provider. I don't know what caused the delay, but my appointment was at 8:45 am, and I wasn't taken back until 9:10 or 9:15. Normally not an issue, but I had set up the appointment as early as I could so that I missed a minimum amount of work. The optical store did help me save some money; offering me a better price on a new (old stock, previous design) silhouette frame than a replacement temple would have cost me.

I have found that the staff is so friendly and helpful no matter which location you happen to be. The staff that assists with ordering eyewear is also wonderful to work with as they are very patient and helpful with choosing the best fit.

The doctors and staff in the Katy office are very kind and efficient. I have a horrible time with dilation of my eyes. I told the assistant, and she made sure to use a lower percentage solution which resulted in a much easier recovery. I wear RGP lenses and they are quite knowledgeable about options. There is an ophthalmologist at this office, which is important for someone with very bad eyes. I've also had trouble fitting glasses, and the staff there was very patient. I got a great fit in glasses and contacts. 2016 update - still very happy with this practice!

I'm confused about all of the complaints about wait times and rudeness of the staff. I was in and out for a lasik consultation with Olga, who was amazing, answered all of my questions, and made me hate her bc her vision has always been perfect, lol! But I felt very comfortable the entire time, didn't feel rushed by anyone, including the doctor who was very friendly and attentive. I received an immediate call back for initial consultation, multiple reminders sent through text and email regarding dates and times, as well as at least 2 phone calls. All the complainers also need to keep in mind we are in a pandemic and they are still going above and beyond. So if there is a longer wait, be patient, even though I can't relate to that one. I'll update my post after the procedure in a few days. I just felt it necessary to express my opinion now due to the negative comments. Truly blown away by them.

When I was getting my eyes numbed it felt weird and I told them that and she said very politely it was ok because its supposed to feel like that. then when I was getting my eyes looked at they poked my eye and I blinked and jumped basically out of my seat and they told me to calm down they were just looking at my eye. then after it was done the nice young lady told me she touched my eye with the machine and I was very surprised but I thanked her for not telling me she was about to touch my eye so I wouldn't panic or jump again. she kindly started asking me questions about which number I could see better and I said which ones I could see better and she said thank you. and then I saw the doctor and she asked the same questions and shined a light in my eye and told me to look different directions and I did. the staff was very kind to me and my mom when we checked in. when we were done doing the tests, the other lady asked if we wanted to look at glasses and me and my mom said yes. we went to look at glasses and of course I went strait for the Oakley's and ray bans. and the very nice lady that asked if we were interested in anything particular I said immediately 'Oakley's.' she was also very nice by calling our insurance for us twice to see if we had any coverage for the glasses but we did not. I also love this place because its conveniently located by our house. thank you so much for helping us out in finding glasses for me.

Love Doctors Doe and Davis and Amber Dixon, Optician If you want quality care from one of the most knowledgeable doctors in the field, then you need to see Dr. Erin Doe. He performed cataract surgery on me in 2010 and has taken care of my needs as a diabetic patient since. This month, I saw Dr. Davis for my annual eye exam and I could not have been more pleased. Both doctors have excellent bed side manners and truly care about you. I have seen Dr. Ruda for an indepth retina exam and I find him knowledgeable, but not quite as personable. I have seen Dr. Garrett and I find that he rushes you and he's not as thorough. I purchased glasses in the past where my requests were not heard resulting in unworn glasses for two years. This year, I was assisted by optician, Amber Dixon, and I found her to be refreshing and more than willing to listen to me and provide me with my requests. Overall, I really appreciate BEC and will remain a customer for years to come.

Their systems to plug in information for insurance did not work. Promised to call back, but did not receive a call for 6 days. On the 7th day when I called, was on hold for 10+ minutes. Total cost came out too expensive, almost three to four times as much as you would pay at Costco or Sam's Club for the same features and progressive Bifocal lenses.. Also you get lifetime replacement for nose pads, and free adjustments at any time.

I first went to Berkley Eye Center when I was diagnosed with shingles. Since the outbreak was on my head and around my eyes, the dermatologist was concerned about the nerves around my eyes, so she urged me to go see an ophthalmologist. I wanted to get in right away and called a few in the area. Berkley was full, but worked me in that day due to the circumstances. Outstanding! I first saw Dr. Doe and then was referred to Dr. Canseco because of the damage to my cornea. She has been absolutely amazing. After the wonderful care that I have received at Berkley for my medical needs, I quickly decided to change to Berkley for all of my vision needs. Berkley is my favorite for many reasons, plus the fact that they take Davis Vision insurance! Thank you, Berkley!!

It was all good until drops were put in my Mom's eyes and haven't seen anyone for over 30mins. Took a peek outside the door and asked why it was taking so long. The Dr. had an emergency and there were two people a head of us with a wait of at least 20min. REALLY, and no one cared enough to inform us of the situation. The emergency is understandable. Not letting us know is not called for and unprofessional. I'm sure this doesn't happen everyday but I hope this post will make them aware to be more more cautious of people's feelings. They take every precaution and take extra steps to protect their patients from getting covid-19. They forgot about customer service. I will mention they were nice and apologized. Being there for the first time and the quility of their service I didn't except this. I will give them another chance when it's time for the next appt. "just wanted to share my experience"

I showed up for my 2:30 appointment early to fill out the paperwork as I am a new patient here. However, I was informed I didn't have a appointment set up. But I did have one, see, look at my phone, I even have a text confirmation. Jahira, a lovely young lady who works the front desk looked and politely informed me that it was for a different eye care business, not Berkeley. How stupid did I feel and look at that moment. But instead of turning me away with a polite "sorry" Jahira was proactive and professional and said she would go see if they could squeeze me in on their already busy schedule. As I'm waiting to hear, Kathy, another warm and caring front desk person takes time to console me about my error and with her bright, positive personality actually makes me feel good about being there. Well to my surprise, Jahira informs me they will accommodate me and to have a seat. I'm now expecting to wait upwards of an hour but in less than 10 minutes my name is called and I'm being cared for like I was a long standing patient. Christy took me in and did the full exam prior to seeing the doctor and was a pleasure. She even handled my humor with a smile and a chuckle. I'm not that funny! They have a loyal new patient now due to their warm professional and caring way they "took care of me". I can't say enough about the entire staff and my oh so POSITIVE experience today. This is how more if not all businesses should operate. Top notch people and top notch care. Thank you all for making my mistake such a great experience.

I have been terrified to get Lasik. They talked me through everything and made me feel comfortable. The Xanax they give you before the surgery helps a lot. The surgery was very quick. They are very attentive in the following months to make sure everything is healing well. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars, is because my astigmatism was not corrected during the surgery. This means, my sight it better than it ever was at 20/25, and I don't need glasses or contacts. However, one of my eyes is blurrier than the other and it can sometimes give me a headache, or when I'm tired, I need to close one of my eyes for a bit.

I had gone last week with one of my kiddos, and the other front desk person was a whole opposite of this experience.
