Dr. Earl and his staff are amazing. They are VERY kind, understanding, listen to what you have to say and make you feel at ease - even with getting shots in your eye! Dr. Earl is knowledgeable and takes his time and cares. I would highly recommend them!

Dr. Gealy was amazing with my father who is a disabled veteran - very professional and positive - First time ever he has been in with a specialist and left feeling hopeful! The office staff was courteous and helpful- so happy to have this wonderful practice in the Treasure Valley!

Very Happy with Retina Specialists of Idaho. I have seen them 8 times and was happy. I saw Dr Gealy several times and he did a torn retina surgery. Then I saw Dr Earl and he did a surgery for scar tissue distorting my macula. I can tell you that Dr Earl is as good of a eye doctor that you could ever want. Wonderful and very professional man. I love him!

I had surgery by Dr Earl to repair botched cataract surgery by a local provider that only uses traveler surgeons. He and his staff are the experts in this field and I am happy to give them five stars. My surgery was a success and the follow up has been superb. The entire staff treats all patients with respect and dignity and although their office is very busy at times, i have observed nothing but kindness and assistance to all those waiting. I would highly recommend this practice!

We were referred to Dr Roberts after my son experienced an eye injury. From the first phone call with office staff to each of our meetings, we felt taken care of, cared about, and the staff were amazing. It was a scary situation and Dr Roberts took time to fully diagnose, care for, and prescribe steps to help our son recover. Never did we ever feel rushed or not listened to....Dr Roberts was great! Yesterday, Dr. Roberts performed eye surgery on my husband, Milt, to correct a retinal pucker. My husband was in very good hands from the minute we walked into Retina Specialists of Idaho's office for the initial consult. We were treated courteously and respectfully by the entire staff. Our appointments never felt rushed. Dr. Roberts thoroughly explained the surgical procedure and answered all of our questions. My husband's surgery went well and our follow-up visit was very thorough with his post-operative care explained completely. We highly recommend Retina Specialists of Idaho.

Dr. Earl is A#1 in my book! After an eye occlusion, I was fearful that my sight could ever be restored. Dr. Earl was spot on with my treatment and I am so thankful for all that he and his kind staff have done for me. We are lucky to have someone like him in our community.

After reading some negative reviews I was guarded about how I would feel about visiting this practice. I was referred here by my optometrist to further investigate a Macular edema issue. I saw Dr. Roberts and was very impressed with his professionalism, caring demeanor and his ability to answer all my questions concerning a course of treatment. The front desk staff was pleasant and Brandy was very kind as she performed the tests required before I saw Dr. Roberts. I also really liked the ability to fill out all the necessary paperwork for a new patient before my visit via an email and text.

I was referred to Retina Specialist from my Optometrist because of finding hemorrhages behind my eyes close to the retinas that I went to see him because of a visual change I had as well as an optimap he did in his office to confirm the hemorrhages. I saw Dr Robert’s who made room in his schedule to see me. He was very thorough and very personable as well as taking the time to explain and discuss as of why this may have occurred. I had radiation therapy in April for breast cancer diagnosis in January, he put my mind at ease after my visit and recommended I come in 4 weeks later, and saw that the hemorrhage was process of dissipating, as he thought it would. I would highly recommend him and his staff who were all very courteous and personable.

I was little (or a lot!) nervous in having a doctor examine my eye after a traumatic eye injury. Dr. Earl and the whole staff made me feel so comfortable, and I am not one bit concerned to return for my next follow up visit. Everyone was nice and professional, and I highly recommend them should you ever have a need to see a retina specialist. Thank you Dr. Earl for treating me so well.

I have been seeing Dr Earl since Jan, 2021 because blindness after Cataract surgery in one eye. I believe he has saved my eyesight although it’s a slow recovery. Dr Earl is always kind and patient when I am asking tons of questions and he answers in a way that I completely understand. He is amazing.

We were a special/ unique case and he has continued to treat us like a special case, consulting and providing us with the utmost care. We are so blessed to have been given this care. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and intellectual surgeon than Dr. Roberts. He explained the operation in great detail, and did everything he could to get my surgery scheduled in a timely manner. He also spent time explaining exactly what was happening with my diabetic progression to my significant other after my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Denton Roberts. I also found most of his staff to be very friendly, empathetic, and professional. Beti and Brenda were wonderful to talk to and I found their efficiency and ability to make me feel comfortable very welcoming. They are very good at their jobs. My only complaint was with one of the receptionists. I almost switched my referral solely because of my first experience with her. Tawnya, I believe is her name, was short tempered, unprofessional, and rude over the phone. She gave me no time to talk or explain my situation, and left me feeling hurt and worried about my condition for a few days. I am hoping this was due to a bad day on her part. All of the other receptionists were wonderful and a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Dr. Roberts and staff, for saving my eyesight and being so caring.

We are very pleased with this medical practice. Dr. Roberts is very kind to my wife. The Billing Department, headed by Melita, is awesome as well. Melita goes out of her way to explain what is going on and she is a person who does what she says she will do and she does it when she said it will be done. In other words, she is very dependable.

I'm writing for my husband, Ed, who recently was referred by our local opthamologist in La Grande, Oregon, to Dr. Roberts at the Retina Specialists of Idaho Clinic. Ed had developed a macular hole in one eye which Dr. Roberts then operated on a few days later at the Surgery Center of Idaho. We were both VERY pleased with the prompt, informative, comprehensive, and encouraging work done by Dr. Roberts and his staff at the Clinic. Their follow up with us has been excellent, and we would highly recommend this doctor and this clinic.

Dr. Earl is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had, and I have A LOT. I go to him for my diabetic retinopathy— I almost couldn’t see anything anymore, so he gave me injections in my eyes, in his office, while I was wide awake. I was HORRIFIED at the idea: no one likes to think about a needle in their eyeball, but Dr. Earl has been beyond amazing for almost three years now. My eye sight is doing wonderful now, so thanks, Dr. Earl!

My optometrist referred me to Dr. Roberts because of a cluster of floaters that were causing problems with my eyesight. Dr. Roberts explained what the situation was, what could be done to remedy the situation, let me know the risks and answered my questions. I was scared to have the surgery. After all, it is your eyesight. The day after surgery when the eye patch came off, I was totally amazed at the result and how different things looked. No more cloudiness over my eye. Since I had floaters in both eyes, after waiting the timeframe required, I had the other eye done also. I was not nervous about this second surgery because I felt extremely confident that it would go as well as the first one, which it did. I did make a call to Dr. Roberts on a Saturday because of a concern and he got back to me in a very timely manner and let me know if I had any other concerns to get in touch with him. I feel my followup care has been great, very thorough. I would recommend Dr. Roberts to anyone with eye concerns.

Honestly, after reading some of these reviews, I have to wonder which doctor's office have these people visited? I have been going to Dr. Roberts for a couple of years now and have always received excellent treatment and the staff have always been courteous and friendly. I have come to the conclusion, after reading some of these reviews, that some people just like to complain. 🙄

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Roberts. He was my last stop.. along a line of many other specialists. Most of whom just kept passing me off to someone else. Dr. Roberts took the time to not only listen to me, but review my forwarded charts. He went above and beyond to help me get to the root of my problem. He never wrote off my complaints of ailments as complaining. He listened and helped me find the problem. Because of him... I now have a diagnosis and a pathway to treatment. I can't thank him enough.
