Beyond amazing. I was referred by southwest eye care after my doctor found a torn retina. The same morning I arrived at southwest they booked me at this center with 15min saw me and booked me a surgery with Dr. Roybal within hours. During the surgery with Dr. Roybal he was very respectful treated me great along with the other staff at Lovelace. I was very nervous and scared but they made me feel great. Next day post op was awesome as well amazing staff and surgeon here.

Dr. Roybal and his staff are amazing! They truly care about the health and well-being of their patients. I have been to two other retina specialists in Albuquerque. The first did a good job, but their provider moved away. At the second office I had a terrible experience with the actual injection and was over-billed by $600, which was ultimately refunded five months later. The staff at Retina Consultants of NM were very professional and knowledgeable from check-in, billing, testing, and preparation and care before and after the procedure. Great care was taken in providing after care instructions. There were problems with my insurance paying for the injection on the same day as the testing. It had been four months since my last injection and my vision had definitely declined. Dr. Roybal found a way to give me the injection on the same day as the testing. I am so grateful! It's what was best for my vision and lowered my anxiety about having to take another day off from work. I work in healthcare and wish all providers cared as much about their patients and had the integrity displayed by Dr. Roybal. His character shows in every aspect of this amazingly caring and professional clinic. By the way, Dr. Roybal was very gentle and I didn't feel a thing when he gave me the injection!

Everyone at Retina Consultants was very friendly and nice! Dr. Roybal was easy to relate to and the whole eye injection process went smoothly. I especially appreciated Gabrielle ( I think) and Joe who gave me a lot of information before treatment. My only suggestion is that we oldsters don’t always do well putting our information in digitally, especially when it is an initial visit and vision is already impaired. I have had many eye treatments elsewhere and was more stressed than I thought adapting to a new place.so their patience was appreciated but maybe more pen and paper info would help us on an initial visit. Time to reflect and correct mistakes would then be possible.

Dr Roybal and his staff are very professional. The reason for the 5 stars. I recently had to switch to Dr Roybal as my current Dr had retired. The office staff basically did all the leg work in getting my old files transferred. And were extremely helpful in getting me in to see Dr Roybal in a timely manor since I travel over 250 miles to see a macular specialist. After my 1st appointment I was extremely impressed with the easy of their operation and I really liked Dr Roybal. He took the needed time with me and I never felt rushed. I am very pleased to have Dr Roybal as my new eye physician.
