My posting of 5 stars regarding Dr. Melendez, his office and staff is based on my recent experience with Dr. Melendez. I was referred by my eye physician and upon my initial exam and throughout my treatment, my care has been nothing less than outstanding. During a time of medical care getting a bad reputation. I commend Dr. Melendez for creating and developing a culture of professionalism which is immediately recognized and felt. I was a bit concerned as anyone would be regarding ones health and a new Dr. However, I immediately became less apprehensive as I was examined and tested by what proved to be a well trained and educated group of individuals who thoroughly educated me on my health, making me feel they are truly concerned with my well-being. Although my recovery is not complete I am confident that the results will be better than expected so far they have been. I am thankful to all of the staff with a special shout out to Trish Torres and Gabrielle who's compassion and professionalism was appreciated during my procedure. Dr. Melendez I do believe that your Mother is and should be extremely proud of how you are meeting your mission to provide world-class medical care in New Mexico. A sincere Thank you.

I had SMILE done by Dr. Melendez and I could not recommend enough! From the first thought about getting a vision correcting procedure to my post-op appointment Dr. Melendez and his team at Juliette Eye Institute have been nothing but amazing. Before I even went in for a consultation I had a scheduled video call with Dr. Melendez who explained all the different procedures in depth. After that I had my initial in office consultation. The whole experience was incredible . The staff was professional and kind and the office is beautiful and clean. Brett was particularly amazing! He was amazingly kind and encouraging! They answered all my questions and were welcoming to my dad who came with me and also had a lot of questions regarding the procedure. The procedure itself was quick and painless. Dr. Melendez explained everything throughly and was so comforting! He even called later that night to check up. The next morning I had 20/15 vision. All this to say I could not recommend enough investing in your vision and your well-being. You can’t go wrong with Juliette Eye Institute. Thank you Dr. Melendez and your whole team for such an amazing experience and the gift of vision!

Excellent - high touch, high tech. Everyone is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Melendez knows exactly what he is doing and my outcome could not be better. Trish was great and so was Gabrielle along with every single other staff member. What a tremendously positive experience. This practice is the gold standard that all others should strive for in delivering patient care that combines high level expertise with concern for the patient. The facility is pristine and comfortable.

Oh What can I say! I am beyond thankful for Dr. Melendez and his staff! They all made me feel welcomed. The staff was very thorough on my eye exams, always comfortable! Guided me every step of the way! Dr. Melendez explained the procedure with detail and made me feel more at ease! By far the best! Would definitely recommend him to everyone I know! Love this facility, they gave me my eye sight back! Perfect vision just day 1 post op! Thank you all for being so helpful, you guys are truly a BLESSING!

I had lens replacement 8 months ago. Used to have 15 pairs of glasses and boxes of contacts! Now I see 20/20 thanks to Dr Melendez and his team and only wear sunglasses now! Amazing results!! Today I went in for a followup. Gabrielle, new to the team, brought me in and did follow up testing. She was able to answer my questions, let me know about my eyes and overall comfortable about my followup visit. Dr Melendez is a master at his work and highly gifted. We are lucky to have him in New Mexico! and I highly recommend Dr Robert Melendez and his team at Juliette Eye Institute.

The team at Juliette Eye Institute was absolutely wonderful! They were compassionate, kind, and always accommodating and attentive. I never had a negative interaction with anyone working there and they made me feel like I was in a safe and caring environment. Dr. Melendez did an amazing job with my LASIK surgery and and continued to consistently provide thoughtful care both pre and post surgery. This is by far the best “doctors office” experience I have ever had and I would recommend anyone seeking vision correction go to Juliette Eye Institute!

I had REFRACTIVE LENS EXCHANGE yesterday and today I can see near and far, it’s AMAZING!!! Dr Melendez and his staff are phenomenal and amazing, they make you feel right at home!! Josh went above and beyond to make this happen. Alana, Trish, Carissa, Gabrielle and Melissa were very friendly and helpful. Yesterday I had an eye appointment at Juliette Eye Institute with Dr. Melendez. From beginning to end it was a stellar experience. Thao checked me in. Patiently and pleasantly she answered all my insurance questions and went the extra mile to check with a co-worker to confirm the answer to a convoluted insurance coverage question I was confused about. Within a few minutes I was called into an exam room by Gabrielle who administered several different tests. She was so professional, and she explained each procedure thoroughly before beginning the test. I was a little apprehensive at first because some tests were new to me, but she was very reassuring, and in no time Gabrielle had me relaxed, laughing, and actually enjoying the experience! Next I was shown into Dr. Melendez' office. Dr. Melendez was very thorough and never made me feel rushed. He listened intently to my concerns and explained things in a way I could understand. His kind and compassionate demeanor was so appreciated, and his depth of knowledge and experience gave me the confidence I need from my doctor. The moment you walk into Juliette Eye Institute, you can feel in the atmosphere that it's the kind of place where the staff enjoy working. A 5 star rating doesn't even begin to cover my experience...should get at least 100 stars!!

Dr. Melendez & his entire team are FANTASTIC ! I am amazed with my new vision after cataract surgery (on both eyes). I can't say enough about Dr. Melendez' expertise and professionalism. Also thanks to the entire staff who helped with scheduling (Trish), numerous vision tests, and helping me feel at home throughout the entire process.
