My father has been staying here for about 2 weeks and I see major improvement. The physical therapy has helped a lot. The front desk receptionist are very kind. Especially William, he always makes sure to greet me upon my arrival. So far very satisfied with what I am seeing and the progress my father is making

Praise Jesus the plaza east on University Avenue rehab and nursing center is an awesome center to put Your loved ones and they do a awesome job with rehabilitating them in OT or PT or even in the medical areas when things are being done for your family to be transition back to their own home, they take care of everything that they may need in the home they make sure they have a nurse set up to visit the prescriptions and wheelchair or whatever you my need are sent to the pharmacy before the client is sent home and they’re just very respectful kind and considerate people to your needs one person especially is sir parm I would like to take time out to say thank you I appreciate all you’ve done for my dad and helping me get him home with everything he needs. This is my mother's second stay at the plaza in 2004 it was the Jewish home. The day staff from what I observe are very attententive to her however at night there is limited staff but they do what they can to help those in need.

My sister has been at The Plaza in Kingsbridge rd. for the past four years. They have taken great care of her since then. At the present time she is in hospice for the second time. Her health is extremely fragile but she is still fighting. Her care has been very satisfactory and the staff care even though you can see they lack manpower. She is always clean, great hygiene and even though she is not eating. Juices are provided regularly. She has a great roommate that despite her lack of hearing, television is extremely loud, she is alert and keeps an eye on my sister. I thank all the staff there.

I was able to visit my Uncle with no delays. Also, the fast test COVID was quick and precise. It shows me that the nursing home does care about its patients and visitors. The staff was polite to me as well as my Uncle's roommate!

My aunt was there in 2016 when it was still “the Jewish home in the Bronx”. I would’ve given it a 4 or 4.5 because there were so many things they did right. The facility was clean and bright and friendly. The staff was responsive and they provided excellent care. When my aunt needed to return l in 2021, I was glad she went there. Unfortunately the many stresses on the staff seem to have taken a toll. It is no longer the place that it was. One of the hardwst parts was that It was impossible to get a call back or to reach my aunt directly (she lost her cell phone). The phone system was flawed and frustrating; there were many times that I could not get through to a human being. The people on staff were mostly lovely and I know they did the best they could in a difficult situation. For this I am truly grateful. But I could not get a response from Physical therapy, especially from the Director. My aunt didn’t care for the food but she ate it and it really helped her to get stronger and ultimately to leave. I think it is a shame that our healthcare system does not provide enough nurses to really care for patients and not become overloaded and then burnt out. I wish I could say that the facility was as excellent as it had been in 2016. But judging from my experience trying to help my aunt, I have to acknowledge how much harder it was to maintain contact and to get clear answers to important questions. I hope everyone has a better experience but this is what happened for me.

The staff take great pride on making sure everyone that comes to there facility is well protected and specially there residence. PPE is provided, temperature check and a rapid covid is also performed before going upstairs. The only problem and a fire hazard is the elevators. The elevator's are usually down. The facility is very neatly kept. The majority of the staff members are helpful specially on the 3rd floor.

I visited The Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center today. It was a great experience. The lobby looks amazing. The security or front desk attendant was very nice. He welcomed me and led me in the right direction. The staff there are so polite and respectful. It was a pleasure being there. I enjoyed every minute that I was in the building. It was an awesome experience. My reason of being there is an interview for a cna position. I would definitely love the chance of being part of The Plaza.

Unfortunately, my dad recently passed away at this facility. I am writing this review for all the dedicated, compassionate, hardworking professionals who worked with my dad while he was in residence at The Plaza. His initial social worker, Josett, was amazing, as she kept me up to date on his progress, and his therapists, Ashley and Courtney worked patiently tirelessly with him despite his severe osteoarthritis. His doctor, Dr. Dinovitser, did everything he could for my dad to make sure he had the best care possible. His main social worker, Raquel Bennett, is a shining star, who gave me consolation and walked me through some hard and sad processes, while insuring that his personal effects were dispersed in a timely and safe manner. I am comforted that there are such caring and compassionate professionals in this world, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

My father was admitted in The Plaza rehabilitation, it was a good experience for my dad the physical therapy that he received helped him tremendously. I did have some issues with certain departments far as the nursing department and the doctors responding to questions and giving information back far as doctors appointments that my father Had to attend prior to discharge. The associates at your facility that really stood out was Anna the concierge, The social worker Kerry Ann and security guard William. Security guard Williams was very pleasant due to the circumstances of things not going smoothly during my discharge it was his outstanding customer service that kept me calm during the process. Anna was so caring and knew about the facility services that my father would be receiving. Anytime I had a question she returned my phone call in a properly matter. The social worker make sure she had meetings that filled my father and I in each step of the way. I would like to thank The Plaza.

I loved the wonderful greeting I received from Mr Rosario and Ms Sherry. I love the fact that The Plaza safeguards their patients right from the start by giving COVID-19 test for their visitors. It's a relief to all that come into contact with our loved ones. However, don't have loved ones stay for a period of time. Service from some of the CNA'S is horrible. I'm still waitng for paperwork from the social worker.

This is a great place. The building is nice and is under renovation- sits on a very nice piece of property with gardens. Everyone was very kind and helpful from Security to nursing to dietary and beyond. This place is very clean and there is absolutely NO smell- Which is amazing! They will fix the patient an alternative meal or make them 3-4 different kinds of sandwiches any time- very accommodating. They served broiled chicken and fries for lunch the day We were there - it looked very good. The rooms are rather plain, standard nursing home fare but very clean and the divider curtains are multi colored and cheerful. A nice large dresser and good sized closet and three drawers in the bedside table. Each bed seems to have its own push pin board that you could decorate. We put pictures up on the wall and brought our family member a comforter and throw pillows and a throw blanket and made it very cozy. Our family member is being very well cared for by this cheerful and caring staff. We are grateful.

The plaza Rehabilitation nursing, It’s one of the BEST nursing homes in the Bronx. I truly recommend anyone who wants their love ones to be taken care with love and compassion to choose the plaza, from all the Doctors to the nurses the therapist all the staff are very caring. The nursing home was very clean and well kept. When I walked in, it smelled like my mom's cooking. The management makes sure to screen all visitors without making them feel uncomfortable but to ensure the safety of the residents. My mom was there last year, she went in after a fall but is not home. This place is in need of more nursing staff, My mothers as in the dementia unit and the staff was great. They are in need of more staff at night & during meals. The patients also need help at lunch because they ct eat alone. You also need more chairs for patients and visitors in the floor. The social workers is pleasant and helpful she was usually available when I went to see my mom. she also spoke in Spanish to them. I do know if the head nurse is still there but he was good. I hope you let them know Amy family and me appreciate all they did for my mom.

I had a very good experience at The Plaza. I interned there, the staff is very welcoming and treat residents with care! I interned in the recreation department and learned so much working with Recreation Therapist Paulette and David Hernandez. My supervisor was Joan who always helped me with my learning experience. The director of recreation is Ruthy and she helped me with my resume and looking for employment. The staff there is like a family and when you come aboard as a intern, resident or worker you are treated as family.

I had to express my content with this place. When I walk in I am always greeted by security with a smile. They always make sure to check my identification and provide me with a guest pass. It feels very reassuring that my father's is in a safe and secure place. Security does not stop there though. I find security at exits and walking through the halls. I love the remodeling they did also. When I get upstairs the staff is welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Love this place for my loved one! Highly recommend it!

The dialysis staff is very nice and helpful. They answered all my questions. The nursing staff and the aids are very helpful. There is only one nurse on each floor per shift with alot of patients to deal with so they can get overwhelmed . I had two different social workers while I was there with two totally different experiences . Raquel Bennett who went above and beyond answering questions rapidly and assisting me with anything I needed. I also had Fernando Villamar who rarely returns phone calls or answers emails. I would ask a question and he would take at best a week to get an answer if he even got back to you , physical therapy never got answers from him .

This was the first time I have been in a rehab unit in New York. I was impressed at how clean the facility was. Staff was very amicable. The patients were all dressed nicely and seemed very content with their surroundings. I was visiting on 10 east and was surprised to see how many employees stopped and talked with me. My Dad ended in the Hospital due to Covid related. I was extremely skeptical which nursing I should pick due to the media. I can not be more thankful and grateful I chose The Plaza Rehab. My Dad lasted 5 weeks in the covid section. The service is outstanding from Nurse to Therapist to Nutrition. I receive a weekly update with the entire team. My dad was discharge when there was two consecutive negative on covid test. They delivered as promise. The Plaza Rehab will always be my heroes.

Visiting The Plaza Rehabilitations and Nursing Home today was refreshing to my spirit as a Social Worker . I had the opportunity to observe a well maintained facility with friendly Supportive Staff. I especially enjoyed speaking with a few of the Residents as they entered and exit the elevator after partaking in games . I inquired with a few Residents regarding as to how they are enjoying their stay within the facility. The majority of the residents were very pleased and spoke of the great services they receive at the facility.

Excellent experience from University entrance- kind, friendly security and reception desk. I felt very welcome and treated well. The thing that struck me most was the staff from entry to 2nd floor all had a smile on their face and a kind word or greeting. My sister has been at the Plaza for awhile, and I must say we are very grateful and impressed by the cleanliness, care & hospitality given at this facility. My sister normally complains but she is very content at this place. Even with the food she's been pleased. They also have daily activities throughout the day, if they wish to attend. I would definitely recommend "The Plaza" to anyone who is looking for a decent place for their their loved ones to stay. It's been awhile since I was allowed to go on the floors like before to see my mother .From the rapid test , to the shields and masks during the visit I hope these new precautions they have in place stop the spread of covid that rapidly spreader in this place and many others . To whom it may concern, My aunt was at the Plaza rehab for about 4 weeks. I was very concerned because I was not aware of this rehab facility. Nonetheless, I was very pleased with the rehab. From the security to the nurses- everyone was very pleasant and helpful. My aunt was pleased with the staff and had only good things to say- especially of nurse- Koekoe. She was her favorite. Koekoe was very attentive to my aunt's needs and concerns. The lunchroom staff was also very accommodating. The days my aunt did not want to go to the lunchroom, her lunch was delivered to her room. The housekeeping person was also very nice. The floor my aunt was on (11th floor)- was very well kept. The floors were swept & mopped often. My aunt and I were very satisfied with this facility. My physical therapist is amazing his name Romesh he pushed me to do great and I will be going home soon. Chris and Gail are also great. There is considerable concern from the entire team providing care to my dad. Whenever I’ve expressed a concern it has been attended to in a prompt manner. The team welcomes family input and I’ve received numerous calls to inquire about the likes/dislikes of my father. After experiencing the worse care possible for my mother at Rebekah nursing and rehab, this place the plaza have been a blessing for my mother and family. When I went to visit my father in-law, I noticed a big change from the last time I was there. The facilitiy is very welcoming , and had A fresh, smell. His room was very neatly clean and organized . I really like the fact that although he has eslzimers, he was in the room where activities were happening. The TV was on, a young lady was drawing, others were making jokes and taking to patients. I was able to do my internship at this facility and while it was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting I learned so much. The director and co director of recreation really worked with me to get a better understanding of how Therapeutic Recreation works in the field vs what you know in a textbook/classroom. My T.R leader at the time help me get comfortable with being around the residents and eased my my way into her daily routine which I learned can be ever-changing. For the future Therapeutic Recreation students/interns who will reach the point of looking for a facility to do their internship at I would highly recommend this place as they work with you when it comes to being flexible with your schedule and teaching you on how you should and shouldn't do things.

My grandfather got his arm broken by another patient and my grandmother was blind and she always dropped that stupid button that calls for assistance. One morning we found her dead on the floor. Terrible workers. Never checked up on her even though she was blind . That's when it was called the Jewish nursing home for the aged.

I have been a consultant for a few months in this facility . I currently am a full time employee in another SNF . Coming from a snf and seeing the way the facility is makes me want to inform people. From the time I walk into the facility I am greeted and asked to sign in with a smile. I have been providing zumba classes for the dementia residents to reduce agitation, increase socialization and promote inclusion. As a whole we wouldn’t be able to do that if it isn’t for the staff!! The staff that they have employed are amazing ! They are so full of life , they are attentive, they dance with them, laugh, and provide care. I wish i would have known about this SNF before when my mom had Dementia. Having dementia is very hard and you need all the support you can get. The staff provides support not only to the resident but to the family . They are great ! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in search for the best care for their loved ones. It’s not easy choice but the staff makes it an easy one when they provide the care they provide!!!!

I came here from the Hospital, first time here. The place is beautiful! the staff is knowledgeable and supportive. For you smokers they do provide a scheduled smoking room. The Physical and occupational therapy center downstairs on the second floor is top notch. They know their stuff and will get you back on the mend real quick, it doesn't matter if your in a wheel chair, or missing a limb or two they will work with you until you are self sufficient or close to it, none the less you will leave here better then what you came. The activity crew is very active, they have socials at least twice per week with smoothies and tacos. If I ever or even know anyone that needs rehab I highly recomend the Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center. The atmosphere when you enter from either the Kingsbridge side or the Universtity Ave side reminds you of a high class hotel lobby. They are going through a renovation to beautify this place so that when you enter you know that you are in a special place. I'm so greatful to this place! and lets not forget GOD they will come get you for church but its your choice rather you want to go. As for me as a minister I am going to vollunteer to show up to conduct a spirituaral service on Sundays. In closing Kudo's to the THe Plaza Rehab & Nursing Center located at 100 West Kingsbridge in the Bronx its truly and exciting place to be if your looking for rehabilitation or long term care you got the right place!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I got off the elevator many of the residents were sitting in their wheelchairs in front of the elevators by the nurses station. There should be a room available for them to sit in and congregate with each other.
