My grandmother stayed here for some time and she had an amazing experience. The staff are friendly, competent and professional. We were really impressed with the facility it is clean and well maintained!! I would totally recommend this for anyone’s mom, dad or grandparent. I give Maggie the reck specialist 5 stars because she's always intentive to her patient's. She's always looking for new things for us to do. She plans events. She even goes around door-to-door seeing if she can do anything that will help. Maggie doesn't forget anyone, that's why I give her 5 stars.

I'm not much of a review guy but after my experience with the folks over at Split Rock I felt it incumbent upon me to write this review. Finding the right skilled nursing facility for a loved one is extremely difficult especially in NY were there are so many choices. The number one criteria for me was care. At the end of the day, who can care for your loved one better then you so finding the right home was tricky. After many weeks of searching, a friend of mine referred me to Split Rock and all I can say is that I have not been disappointed. From the moment my grandma entered split rock till the day she left and moved back in with us, the team over at split rock has been extremely supportive. The rehab was superb and the care was 5 star. The nursing home world was a dangerous place during covid but the split rock team got grandma safely back to us and we are forever grateful.

I've been here at the facility for about 8 months...the staff is wonderful, especially the activities department, they are all great and keep us busy throughout the day.

This facility has such welcoming staff and looks very clean and well kept. The patients are always smiling and involved in the recreational activities. The CNAs, nurses, and other staff members are always available to care for the patients in a timely manner. The day rooms are spacious and clean, and the patients are able to enjoy 3 hot delicious meals a day. Split Rock is really making a wonderful difference in their patients' lives.

It's hard to put your mom in a facility but we lucked out when she ended up at Split Rock. They're like a family there and treated my mom as part of the family as soon as she arrived. The nurses and aides are helpful and great at their jobs. But everyone we speak to when we've visited is super nice, the housekeepers and the social workers too. Oh and the food is really good which is great because we didn't know what to expect. We'd always rather she be home with us but they take care of her in all the ways we can't so we're happy she's there.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I've never seen anything like that when visiting my aunt and I visit a lot. As soon as you come in they're so nice and welcoming. The nurses I've met are very nice. My aunt has never complained, in fact she has made friends with the staff she interacts with and so have we. Their rehab staff is top notch. We're happy we chose this place for her.

Thank you to the Split Rock employees who cared for my family member while there for Rehab. The Rehab staff was absolutely wonderful and patient. The nursing staff on the 4th floor, even when short staffed took time to make sure my father was well cared for. And the recreation team was great, providing activities, and spending time reading or simply talking to him. Everyone made his rehabilitation stay enjoyable and safe. Thank you, Thank you!! I was skeptical to go this center, a lot of negative reviews. since it is close to me I've decided to visit them to check. I've noticed many new faces. I shared my concerns about negative reviews and patient experience. They said we are trying our best and made a general overhaul in management, new experts joined. Thus i will give it a chance and try them.

The nurses at SplitRoc are caring and patient.. My grandmother can be difficult at times, the nurses have always treated her with kindness and love.. SplitRoc has also been making renovations to improve the facility for the better. If the facility was a little more modern I'd rate it a 5. However the staff is AMAZING.

I am a staff member here at Split Rock, who has been here for 2 yrs and have worked at other facilities for the past 26 yrs , I can honestly say that split rock by far is 1 of the top facilities I have worked in. I can surely say that management and staff take great pride in there residents / families needs . Split Rock as any other facility faces challenge's daily but what is more important is how our staff from housekeeping to management come together as 1 in solving issues that may arise. I myself had a family member placed at split rock for short term rehab and witness there hard work and dedication to have my love one discharge home once rehab was completed.

Ive been at split rock 3 1/2 years. When i came i was bedridden & in bad shape. The staff worked with me diligently and the results of their expertise & bedside manner i slowly began to recuperate. I had bariatric surgery & the dietitian has been working with me & i am seeing great results. I never knew,how,to crochet & recreation taught me how to crochet a blanket. I highly recommend this facility. Thank you split Rock!

I am currently residing at Split Rock. I have been living here for almost 2 years. At first I did not like it here. It was a transition I was not ready for. However, since then my view began to change due to the professionalism of certain staff who are dedicated to making sure a person like me gets the kind of care that is needed to be succesful. Then I met the Social Service department. They helped me with certain issues I could not have done on without them, The new social workers are caring professionals who move beyond their scope of function to see that care is provided in a dignified manner. And then came along the new social service director who is now in the process of bringing a new transition of enhancement to the department,which is an upgrade. To the new director of social services Ms. MK i wish you well and your team and i TIP MY HAT because you all are difference makers .KEEP STRIVING ON !!!! I must tip my hat to is MS. PALMER DIRECTOR OF NURSING who without her insight guidance Wisdom ,Made it possible for me to get through this whole process...... Thank You ALL....

Split Rock is a lovely facility. We were stuck between a rock and hard place: no other nursing home in the entire Westchester, Greater NYC and Suffolk county area would accept my husband because of his weight except Split Rock. We felt trapped and then made the mistake of reading (and believing) some negative reviews. BOY WERE THEY WRONG!!! The staff has done everything to make my husband feel at home. Honestly I cannot single out one person better than another. Everyone who works there is competent, pleasant and willing to help. FINALLY my beautiful husband is getting the rehabilitation he needs without being made to feel like a criminal for being a big guy. Thank you Split Rock and keep up the good work. It is much appreciated.

My 30 yr old nephew suffered a stroke 10/2017 affecting not only him but the entire family. After spending months in the hospital, we were forced to look into a nursing home/rehab for further care. Lets face it, no one can care for a loved one the way a family member can but even that comes with limitation and help is needed. We chose a nursing home in the Bronx (Bay Park in Co-Op) and he almost lost his life there because the treatment and lack of care was so bad and he ended up in the hospital again, septic. Five months after his stroke, hospital stays and the worst experience at the first nursing home, we reluctantly had to search for another nursing home. We chose Split Rock. From day 1 we saw the difference in the care. I didnt care if WE were greeted with a smile or not...all we wanted was the best possible care for my nephew. We were pleasantly surprised and relieved. Most of the nurses were all nice, pleasant and caring. They were attentive and answered all our questions whenever we had them. My nephew was well cared for and at the first sign of a medical situation that they didnt feel they could handle, they wasted no time in sending him to the hospital. He was seen by the doctor regularly and they worked with him daily with his physical/occupational and cognitive therapy. He spent 7 months there. We visited daily and became very familiar with the staff and even the other residents. Bonds were made. So, to the Nurses and Staff on the 3rd Floor, 3 North and to his case worker John Oullette, on behalf of Enger Ozuna's family, we want to say thank you for your hard work and dedication. For helping him reach his potential up until this point. There's still work to be done and he still has a ways to go but thank you for paving the way for us. Please keep up the good work! I visited the facility on several occassions to spend time with my loved one. Nursing homes are scary in general but having a compassionate, empathetic, social worker on staff makes a world a difference. Especially, for those finding themselves at odds with their diagnoses. The SOCIAL WORKERS are highly trained MSW's with a combined wealth of knowledge, solutions, interventions, and expertise. Split Rock has an awesome team of social workers invested in your transition.They go beyond to bring comfort in uncomfortable times. Social workers at Split Rock will guide you, support you, and work with you and your family on a discharge plan to return you to the comforts of your community.

This place is the worst the cna are very disrespectful especially in the morning staff the charger nurse put his hands on me May 29 2017 and they telling me it is still be investigated yet nothing has happened about the situation he is still working here, they keep you here longer then you need to be. By add a new sickness a nurse almost gave me the wrong medication . they only give residents a shower twice a week.and when the cna don't like you they treat you real nasty especially the cna In the day shift, I had to call for the ambulance for my self three times because they had to refuse to call for me and if you have independent passes they won't even give you a metro card. and if you complain about the way you are being treated. They say to you .you can sign out ama then they say when you sign out ama they don't even have to give prescription so if you really love your love ones and want your loves one to be really taking care of this is not place to put them in at all. trust me I know I been here for eight months I came here to rebuild the strength in my legs, they found out about a breathing problem I had for years and made accuse to keep me here longer so this is not Where you want your family trust if you want them to be really cared for
