My brother is in hospice's and nearing the end and a couple of weeks ago they didn't put restriction in how many visitors could go up and today they only allowed two people at a time. I feel they should have a different rule for hospice. . The nurses were nice.

My mother moved in yesterday, after a 2-month stay at Montefiore hospital. Right away, staff members introduced themselves, explained their role and the services that would be provided. Today they made an exception and let me bring my mom home for a few hours, for a long hot shower and a home cooked meal. It made all the difference. Off to a great start!

My family and I are glad that we chose Fieldston Lodge Care Center for rehab for our father, Sophath, who has been staying here since March. The facility is immaculate and the staffs are attentive, caring, and accommodating. I truly admire the dedication of the doctors, nurses, and Joseph (from the radiology dept.) that takes care of my father. They are always available to assist my family and me and offer tremendous support when needed. The staffs over in the social service dept. were wonderful, they helped with all the paperwork making it less confusing. This center is superb! My family and I are appreciative of their level of service, the amount of care and professionalism of the employees have surpassed our expectations.

The place needs a face lift it's out dated. But so far the service is excellent. The staff from when you first walk in is professional and helpful. It's easy to talk to staff and nurses are very attentive. To me that's what matters that my mom's is taken care of.

Staff is very friendly and helpful,they know their patients., i was very satisfied with sw David he went beyond his call of duty., to assist and make sure all went well during visit it was a pleasure to meet him. I need to include the transporter a Spanish female i regret not getting her name, she was so welcoming and professional. I hope these staff gets pay accordingly because they all seem to enjoy their jobs.

I want to thank my mom's doctor, nurses, rehab therapist, CNAs, and her social worker Ms. Rodriquez for helping my mom out to get her health and her strength back on track. This facility is clean and make sure all the patients are safe 100% due to this pandemic. I recommend anyone who is looking a place for their love ones to get rehab services to come here. Thank you all for taking care of my mother. It means a world to me.

My sister in law was in for about 3 months, she was well taken care of. Rehab was great with her With out them she would have not started to walk so soon. She is a young adult that enjoyed the activities that the recreational department had. The kitchen staff was great when she started to eat solid foods. Social service was great in helping us with all the paper work that had us so confused. We are very grateful to all the staff from maintenance to administration they all were so helpful in getting my sister in law home to her son.

I have to say I was terrified to send my mother here when I was given the 666 address but I was told the vent unit is one of the best. After being skeptical and having another facility lined up just in case, there hasn't been a need. The care has been great. I have been so pleased with the care. They have been keeping me updated with her progress and they make it so my kids are able to see there grandma on facetime. As of yet , I don't have any complaints and shes been there since the start of covid.

First and foremost I wasn't suppose to be alive today but with the care of this great facility I'll be going home soon. They have a great rehab program . The daily recreation activities are awesome. The staff is warming and welcoming to family. The kitchen people accommodate to your likings. I would recommend this facility to anyone

After being in a comma over 3 months. My dear cousin with the care of Fieldston was able to recover and go home to her son. After many visits I personally saw the attention & care all the staff gave her. Many thank yous to; rehab workers & the very amazing nurses who cared for her 24 hours a day. Thank you to the kitchen & nutritionest who helped her get stronger. Its my deepest thank you to all of Fieldston. My heart was full watching my family go home.

Fieldston Lodge care center and staff provided my cousin suprime care. Their healthcare and rehabilitation center, cared for my cousin with due diligence even when we thought that we’ll lose her. The staff provided 5 stars around the clock care for her and kept us informed at all times. Their recreation center is superb. Thank you Fieldston Lodge Care Center, for giving us the gift of bringing my cousin home⭐️

When providing such vast services and acclimatizing to various idiosyncrasies, there is always room for improvement as challenges come to light and resolutions are sought and produced. This is to be said for any institution that facilitates patient care, such as Fieldston Lodge. My husband's status has improved within a year of being under their care. This was attributable to the rapport that subsequently developed between the staff and myself resulting in a teamwork effort. In addition, they took the time to tend to his needs and heed to my concerns, aiding in the journey to recovery. I would like to take a moment to extend my acclamations to the staff; giving them much deserved Kudos: Peter’s team of therapists: Andrea (PT) has been tremendous in working strenuously on his mobility and ability to walk. Elena and Janet (Speech Therapists), have been remarkable on rebuilding his speech. He is able to articulate individual words in comparison to being nonverbal a year ago. He is now able to communicate less effortful after suffering from a massive stroke, resulting in Broca’s Aphasia. Pee Pong, Dmitry, Venice and Annette (OTs) have worked diligently in conquering my husband’s dependency from total to partial reliance on the staff, once secured in his wheelchair. Nurse Manager Rene and the 2nd floor Staff have their work cut out for them as they tend to patients, their families and other visitors with diverse challenges. A nurse’s job goes beyond caretaker; they are friends, family, confidants, and soundboards among other things. In what can be considered a thankless job, they make the most out of their daily routine, taxing situations and a plethora of incidentals. I thank the staff for their encouragements, being a pillar of strength, and delivering that human touch, which is such a necessity in these type of settings List is not limited to the following; Ms. Henry CNA, Ms. Davis CNA, Ransford CNA, Tenzin CNA, Elizabeth CNA Ms. Coke RN, Ms. Matthews RN, Ms. Thomas RN, Wendy Williams RN Shakes CNA, Naomi CNA, Hope CNA, Francis CNA, Antonia RN Ms. Clayton, Ms. Campbell , Ceesay Akua (RT) Keisha NP and Kossi PA are not assigned to a particular floor however they work throughout the Nursing home In the Business Office Margaret, the Medicaid Coordinator, who is always pleasant and willing to go beyond the call of duty for the patients and their families. She does not accept "No" for an answer and will inquire "Why" when speaking on the behalf of others. She is a wealth of information, wise beyond her years and a true asset to Fieldston Lodge. Samara (Managed Care Coordinator) is extremely pleasant, courteous and always has a smile on her face. She will answer questions to the best of her ability and gives direct eye contact when addressing to whom she is speaking. She knows both sides of the spectrum, when it comes to patient care and the quality of work to which the staff contributes. Being a wealth of information in her own right, Samara will explain the ins and outs of the system and outline the alternatives in laymen terms. In the Recreation Center, David and Lorraine’s incredible team, Aretha, Sharon and Bello, just to name a few, escorts, entertains and maintains a structured environment for all patients, regardless of their dependency or lack thereof. Ilene, the Social Worker wears many hats. She is in constant communication with the families, keeping them abreast on information pertinent to their loved ones. There are several incidents, in which, Ilene assumed mediator between the patients, their families and staff. She will address any inquires and concerns that may arise, wholeheartedly. Like any nursing home, there are smells and other unpleasantries, nevertheless, the housekeeping team, Jay, Annabel and Marcela work conscientiously in keeping the facility, including the elevators, clean and odor free. Overworked and more than likely underpaid (like most places), they are a family to many who have been abandoned and forgotten by family and friends.
