Allegro Senior Living is exactly where you want a loved one to be taken care at. The atmosphere is very clean, healthy and unique. I recommend this place to anyone looking for assisted living care or have a loved one in the need of this service. I myself have seen the lengths they will go to make their facility as clean and safe as possible.

Visited this community recently. It is without a doubt the nicest in South Tampa, both the building and the people that live and work there. Was very impressed with the activities program that includes aqua therapy in the on-site pool and the multiple programs available daily, as well as the cocktail lounge on the fifth floor.

Allegro at Hyde Park is AMAZING. The staff really care about the residents, the dining room and common areas are beautiful and clean, and they have so many activities to keep the residents engaged. After my Dad died and I needed to move my mom closer to me, we walked into Allegro and were immediately impressed. That was almost 3 years ago, and even today, my mom says how much she LOVES her new home and friends. I am so thankful and consider Allegro our extended family.

I have worked with clientele/residents in this community on a daily basis as a therapist here at Allegro for 3 years. The staff here at Allegro Hyde Park could not be more friendly and helpful to their clientele. The environment is warm , friendly and impeccable. The nursing and care staff are professional , highly skilled and courteous to their staff and residents. The amenities at Allegro Hyde Park are first class and residents always have activities to keep them busy and entertained. If I had a parent who needed either AL or IL services in the Tampa area, Allegro Hyde Park would be my first choice by a long shot!

About 2 years ago, we began exploring the right new home for my mother and we were so lucky to have discovered Allegro Hyde Park. My mother was able to remain independent despite a decline in her eyesight and she was able come and go as she pleased, while also having the luxury of a being driven with other like-minded residents regularly to the grocery store, church activities and doctor’s appointments. She began to make friends and developed a great balance of interacting with others at monthly birthday celebrations, or remaining in her beautiful, clean apartment when she wished to do her own thing. We could have never predicted the past year and how seniors would be affected by Covid-19. At first, I was very nervous about how all would play out. However, it became evident that the management team, as well as every single member of the staff was dedicated to the physical and mental health and well-being of each resident. They adapted safety protocols swiftly and PPE and temperature checks were implemented and all was communicated quickly, efficiently and always with love. As I was not local, the staff coordinated Facetime calls for me to speak with my mother, made holidays in quarantine special and kept her laughing. I highly recommend Allegro Hyde Park to all families as it is a beautiful senior living community full of wonderful residents and a committed, caring, smart staff that is unmatched. If you’re thinking about a special place for your parent or loved one, you need to visit Allegro Hyde Park!

My mom has been an “independent” resident of Allegro at Hyde Park for about 5 months now. Allegro is a beautiful, upscale Senior Living Community. The building, landscape and pool are very well-maintained and clean, and the decor is quite tasteful. The staff is friendly and attentive and strives to call every resident by name. Programs and social activities are plentiful and appeal to a wide range of interests. Movies are offered in the theater and a huge craft room is well supplied with quality items. Outings are planned multiple times a week and the menu is seasonal and delicious. If mom had a “complaint” it would be that she gets too much attention,and we are just fine with that (wink).

My parents have lived at Allegro Hyde Park for nearly two years, and I couldn't be more pleased with the community. The staff are unfailingly warm, helpful, and professional both with the residents and family members. Certain unexpected issues have arisen with my parents' health and other situations, and I have been impressed by and grateful for the time, effort, and care invested by everyone concerned at Allegro to ensure the best outcome possible. The facilities themselves are top-notch with spacious and well-maintained apartments and common spaces, and the activities for residents are varied and plentiful. I applaud Jennifer Rotunda, the ED, and the whole Hyde Park team for creating and maintaining this wonderful home for its residents.

In the past 4 years while coordinating Events there I had the pleasure of working with Chef Richard and his staff who make each program a VIP Experience. My mother has lived at Allegro almost 7 years. Her adjustment was difficult but not due to the place or the staff. They were very very understanding. It just took time for us to learn how things operate there and time for my mother to adjust to widowhood and managing life on her own. I do believe her life has been healthier and happier because she lives there. She is a very independent lady, and at 93 still organizes her own appointments and social engagements. She has some assisted living services and that helps her have a safe and healthy lifestyle (meds and showers). The residents care about each other and take care of each other. Cannot say enough good things about the facility and the management!

My dad has been at Allegro for just over a year now. His transition from his home to a new place was hard for him at first but Allegro staff and residents prioritize helping new residents and their families feel right at home. He is now very happy, loves his new friends and the staff. My sister and I both live quite far away but all the staff have made themselves easily accessible to our every need and request. They really do go above and beyond. Each time I visit I'm greeted by name. It's a beautiful facility with lovely sunny apartments, plenty of activities, physician access nearby, and the food is quite good. Bonus is the Sky Lounge on the 5th floor, w outdoor space overlooking Tampa Bay. Allegro has become my home away from home when visiting dad in Tampa.

Allegro at Hyde park is extremely well managed. The administrative staff, directors, care staff, and supervisors all bend over backwards to meet resident’s needs. Jennifer Rotunda the Executive Director exhibits good listening skills and comprehends complex matters well. She is a natural leader who commands the respect of her team members by according to them the same amount of respect. Successfully raises team spirit by constantly appreciating the hard work made by members of the team. Melissa Knapp the Resident Service Director enhances the health, safety, support services and lives of seniors. She protects the dignity of all Allegro residents, enhances the quality of life for both seniors and their families. Working at Allegro Hyde park as a nurse has truly been a pleasure.

The care is excellent, the building is beautiful, and Director of Nursing and Executive Director do everything possible to ensure that their residents are safe, healthy, happy and well cared for. All the clients I have worked with who reside in this community report that the food is very good and that they are very happy living there. As both a caregiver and a church social worker, I have been extremely impressed with Allegro Hyde Park / formerly Horizon Bay. As a caregiver, I have been amazed by the care that my almost 94 year old friend has received. When I have concerns regarding her health, her need for additional service, etc., I find the staff to be quick to respond and happy to meet with me to see how they can offer my friend care. I have also heard from them when they have concerns about my friend's health and medication. Even the director, Jennifer, when she saw some changes contacted me. Jennifer and Melissa, health services, have also met with me towards helping to support my friend. I have a sense that they genuinely care about my friend and another church member who recently moved to Allegro. My friend has been and continues to be extremely happy with the staff, the food and the opportunities to participate in programs. She has many opportunities to make friends which has been a joy to me. As she ages, it has become harder for her to participate in some of the previous activities at church and with friends from the community. However, as the larger numbers and restaurants have become more difficult outside her home (which is Allegro); instead of isolating, she spends time with friends and activities there at Allegro where she feels secure and cared for. As a social worker, I frequently share about my personal experiences and encourage people to check out Allegro for themselves and/or their loved one. Suzi was the first person I met at a professional meeting, I have seen her at Caregiver Support Meetings, she has been a listening ear and helped me as I walked the journey of caregiving as well as help with church members in need of services. She helped me walk the journey to prepare my friend to leave her home of over 50 years to move to Allegro and helped both of us adjust to my friend living in a new situation. Four South Tampa churches have a senior adult luncheon and program that meets monthly for 8 months. For 3 or 4 years, with Suzi's support, Allegro/Horizon Bay has catered and donated our lunches once a year which has been a big help with our expenses for this gathering. I can't share enough how much I have appreciated the loving care of all the staff I have met and worked with from Administration, Marketing, Health Services and it's nurses who bring my friend her medication 3 times a day, dining and Rubin and his maintenance crew.

My experience with Horizon Bay at Hyde Park has been nothing less than exceptional. My Mom has lived there for over two years. The staff is professional, friendly, caring and responsive. They go out of their way to personalize the services provided. My mom has had to go to the hospital twice. On both occasions, the staff handled it perfectly. They called me immediately and calmly and reassuringly apprised me of the situation. They followed up completely, including coordination of her return transportation, medications and needed physical therapy. And, the place is beautiful. It looks like a fancy resort. The food is wonderful and they even have the friendliest bartender in town!

I have been a resident since May 2016 and have found that Allegro Hyde Park has well exceeded my expectations. I am able to live in a full size apartment as opposed to small studios typically found in Assisted Living Communities. The staff is second to none ... they are always available to answer any reasonable request asap and could not be nicer. Management is tops ... very professional and responsive if there is an issue. The surroundings are luxurious; the grounds, gardens and pool are what you would find in a top rated hotel. Being adjacent to downtown Tampa, there are many cultural activities to take advantage of as well as a vibrant in house activities dept. The decor is cheerful as well as elegant; ideal for our residents many of whom live independently as well as those requiring some assistance. I believe I made the best decision in choosing Allegro Hyde Park.

I arrived at this community not knowing what to expect. I had decided it was time to sell my house and move to a condominium near my son. After I drove by here and saw a lot being worked on, I decided I wanted to move into this wonderful retirement community instead, especially since it was located right across the street fro my son's office. After one of Suzi Moreland's (our sales director) hardhat tours I immediately put a deposit on a unit and was told that the unit choosing would commence at a future date. I was fortunate enough to get the exact unit I wanted. When I moved into the building there were perhaps 25 other people here, and it took no time to get to know everyone. That same friendly atmosphere is still here to this day with our welcome committee helping new residents feel like this is their home. There is a wide range of activities available for everyone and a number of activities for people that enjoy attending special events. There is always a group of us drinking wine and relaxing up in our Sky Lounge, and weather permitting out by the beautiful pool . Over the six years I have lived here, I have made many wonderful friends and they are some of the best friends I have ever had in my life. I have found that the staff here is very responsive. You send an email and get an immediate answer to any question or concern. So all in all I have been very happy here and will continue to live here for as long as I can imagine.

I have been in the hospitality industry for over 50 years. I have been at Allegro for four years. I work in the dining services area and have been promoted as far as I can go. I really enjoy working here. My bosses are great. Most of the people I work with are good and have their act together. We work as a team. The people we serve can be demanding but so can any patrons in a restaurant. Allegro is a nice place to work.

My mom thrived at Allegro South Tampa. While it is easy to see how beautiful the community and it's surroundings are, the real beauty is found inside. I have worked here for five years in the dining department and seen many changes during that time. Most of them for the good. One good change, I feel, is when we got to change our uniforms to something more comfortable. We used to wear a white button up shirt with a black bow tie, and now it is a comfortable blue shirt with black apron and pants. I notice the different changes in menus for the better and more to come. Working here feels like a small family. I don't feel that my schedule changes that often unless I request it. I have only called out sick once during my time here. I feel that the attendance policy is fair. I enjoy the residents and get to know them pretty well from seeing them throughout the day.

Putting a loved one into an assisted living facility is by no means an easy decision, especially how our emotions were at an all time high during the early process.
