Reviews of Aljoya Mercer Island
Mary E Bjustrom
This tour revealed a well thought out facility and approach to the residents. The decor was lovely, staff called one another and the residents by their first names, and safety protocols were consistently in place. Residents are given a voice in running the facility and have many opportunities to create activities within and about the area. I rate this living opportunity very high.

Staff is always kind, caring and attentive.
Very clean facility with wonderful artwork on every floor. The garden in summer is amazing! A beautiful sanctuary to sit comfortably in.

I co-sponsored a Professional Organizing | Downsizing event featuring my transition team member, Alissa King of COMBAT - Clutter recently with the marvelous and caring team at Aljoya | Era Living Community on Mercer Island . The staff and team, lead by Larry Almo is always very friendly, helpful and courteous to me, my colleagues and most especially to the guests that attend these valuable events. Transitioning from a long time home to a new community can be overwhelming and daunting. The Aljoya community is always sensitive, supportive and encouraging to the attendees and interested families considering making this important but often stressful change. I am grateful and fortunate to partner with Aljoya as together we look to help our clients and friends find the best life and make the challenging yet rewarding commitment to improve their lifestyle. Thank you Aljoya for being a pillar of care in the Mercer Island and great Seattlw community .

My choir was invited by a resident to sing. Our experience was very good.

We had the best visit with Larry and his tour was thorough and informative.

My wife and I moved into Aljoya five years ago. We have no regrets. We love the staff - they are friendly and very accommodating The administration is very open to suggestions and criticisms and hold open houses monthly to receive suggestions, many of which have been implemented. The gardens and lounges are always beautifully maintained and the food is excellent. We have weekly housekeeping
( including changing of bed linens) which we appreciate very much
We did have some food issues in the early years but our new Chef is incomparable in preparing new menus and in making sure we have a great variety of entrees and desserts! We like having open seating and being able to come to dinner on an ad hoc basis. Friends and family are very welcome also.
We also enjoy the large swimming pool, daily fitness programs and a wide variety of outings and in-house programs. We love walking our dog in the city parks and walking paths adjacent to our building. We can also walk to the grocery and drug stores just a few blocks away.
We are both active seniors and in good health so we do not access the Wellness Center very much but we hear from our friends, that they too are very accommodating.

I have taken the tour with my mother and was
very impressed with the quality of the condos (layout, kitchen, bathroom). She liked the access to the pool and all the different activities.
Lilly's restaurant service and food was outstanding, fresh and local.
Employees very friendly and energetic too
